I love my routine on Thanksgiving: get the paper, then plan my Black Friday attack while watching football all the way until Turkey Time. And then: a huge pile of dishes, but that’s kind of irrelevant for this conversation.
Back to the Black Friday deals – there are a lot to be found this year on PlayStation games and hardware, as well as some awesome limited-time bundles which mark a great time to enter next-gen gaming for those who haven’t already.
So since all of us here at PlayStation.Blog are home with their families – we’re going to leave this post up as a PlayStation Holiday Deal “discussion board” through Monday, when we resume our normal programming. So if you find a great deal, even at a smaller, non-national chain, please share it with your fellow readers in the comments area below.
Here are a few I found this morning to get it started:

Best Buy: Sony PLAYSTATION 3 80GB Package w/Ratchet and Clank Future Game + Casino Royale Blu-ray – $399.99

Kmart: $25 off your next gaming purchase when you buy any PS3 system.

Radio Shack: DualShock PS3 Wireless Controller – $29.99

Target: Free $20 Gift Card w/ Purchase of PSP

Walmart: Blu-ray movies including Iron Man and Kung Fu Panda for $15.
Now it’s time for you to share your own (and please keep it on topic!).
Good luck waking up early to score these deals, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Canada does not have Black Friday but Futureshop alone has PSP core 2000 for $169.99 and you get a patapon game and a headset.

Indeed! Jeff, you go pay attention to your family and attempt to stand your in-laws! :P
I like this idea, though there’s no way I’m leaving home tomorrow. People turn half-stupid, half-impatient, and half-stupid again on Black Friday.

I think Blu-Rays should be like 15-20 dollars and dvds should be like 10-15… a 2 hour movie for 16 dollars is 7 dollars an hour entertainment…
a 12 hour 60 dollar game is 5 dollars an hour entertainment… I mean… is it just me or are we always going to get screwed by the movie companies while the gaming companies get the short end of the stick… no one requires the same amount of demands for the movie business as the gaming industry… O_o

Target has Burnout Paradise for $20. I am finally going to buy that game. With all the new content already out/coming soon, 20 bucks is ridiculous…ly awesome
62
Andores | November 27th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
I think I’ll buy Burnout Paradise too. Supporting developers who value their customers is always good. Especially if it only costs 20 dollars to do so. :)

77
SpiritThief | November 28th, 2008 at 5:52 am
Amazon.com has a whole shew of deals on some games. Alot of crappy games but they got a few good ones in there.
Sadly no good deals on any Sony brand ones. But Fallout 3 for $39 is a steal, at least until they patch it.
78
CheesePie13 | November 28th, 2008 at 6:11 am
Is this in Canada too. Because thanksgiving was last month for us.
79
EnigmaNemesis | November 28th, 2008 at 6:21 am
I shopped at Amazon.
They matched EVERY box store sale (and some better stuff as well on their list).
You didnt have to leave your house to deal with parking, traffic, lines, gas waste, and sales tax (if you love in a state with it).

EnigmaNemesis | November 28th, 2008 at 6:22 am

What did I do wrong.
I have immaculate credit and apply for the Sony card to get $150 off. Web site says ‘instant approval’ with codes at the end of registration.
Here is my thank you: bla…bla…You will be notified in writing about the status of your application within 30 days.
Wow. I give all that personal information and I only get a we will let you know in a month about the STATUS? What happened to my INSTANT approval? Ugh.
