Dec I have a distinct feeling that many of you might have been expecting that this day would be coming real soon … Today, we’re beginning to reveal more about our next project here at Naughty Dog – Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

You can catch the first glimpse of our next game on GameTrailers.com, which is hosting a video we’ve put together advertising the 2008 Video Game Awards on Spike. Our VGA ad will also premiere on the air tomorrow, Tuesday, December 2, at 9:25 PM during UFC Unleashed on Spike. Oh yeah, that means we have something much bigger lined up …
The world premiere of our first trailer for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves!
This trailer will be shown during the 2008 Video Game Awards show, airing on December 14, 2008, at 9:00 PM on Spike. Don’t forget!
On top of that, Game Informer has revealed the cover for their January 2009 issue today, which features none other than – you guessed it – Uncharted 2. The January 2009 issue will hit subscribers and newsstands in mid-December and will give you the first in-depth look at what lies in store for Nathan Drake.
Keep an eye out for a lot more about Uncharted 2: Among Thieves in the coming months!

I agree with 151; drop the number 2 in the title. PLEASE. Would be a lot cooler that way, like another one of Drake’s many adventures. It would make it easier to do games out of chronological order if necessary. When the series is done, get Sideshow Collectibles to sculpt some awesome bookends for the games.
We definitely need a collector’s edition of this game. Maybe package it in a treasure chest complete with map, Drake’s ring, dagger and clever clues to the inevitable and welcomed third game.
As for the free climbing mechanic, sounds great. Hope the platforming isn’t as automatic as the first.

Finally, this game gets a sequel. I have to say this is one of the most expected games I’ve waited to see after the first game. Day one purchase from me. Also Naughty Dog if you and Insomniac can work together. Create a Jak&Daxter game along with Ratchet&Clank. Those 4 characters in one game will only sweeten everything.

But I liked the first one on the PS3 alot and thought it would do great on the PSP as well. If Sony Bend was at the helm I can bet it would be another killer PSP game.
We need developers to push the PSP into even better looking games, and even more action and larger scale gameplay then we have now. Currently StarWars: The Force Unleashed, God of War: Chains of Olympus, WipEout: Pulse, and Killzone: Liberation are the only epic games on the platform other then Final Fantasy: Crisis Core. Sure we have another Final Fantasy game in the works in Final Fantasy 13 Portable, and yes both Phantasy Star Portable, and Resistance: Rretrobution are comeing as well next year but I think we need more of games that show off the PSP as a turly hardcore handheld system, Another SOCOM game that uses the same engine as Resistance: Retrobution, and a few new fighting games that use it as well would do wonders for PSP fans.

Uncharted is without a doubt my most favorite PS3 game. The story, the atmosphere, Nathan (which slightly looks like Jason Rubin, only, if you ask me :-D), just “the” perfect game. To think I’m normally not a real shooter fan, though this girl finished the game on Crushing. A huge performance if I say so myself haha.
I can’t wait for Uncharted 2 and meet up with my number 1 hero Nathan again. I read about a possibly Jak & Daxter 4 release on the PS3. Only that confirmation needed and with White Knight Chronicles, Uncharted 2, 2009 has already full filled my gaming needs :-)
