    MGS stuff…

    I’m happy.

    12

  • thx sony for another great year of updates ;) Keep em comin hot an fresh :D one quick question…why not make FF7 a downloadble psn game? i bet ALOT of ppl would buy it. including me and all my friends.

thx and keep em comin ;) :D

  • Though this week’s PSP section update of the PS Store wasn’t as beefy as last week’s, at least we finally got another PS one game download. It’s great that I won’t have to shell out over $100 to play Suikoden anymore.

Also, I wish that Lumines Supernova was available for download on the PSP. I’m a big fan of the original Lumines and I’m looking for to playing Supernova someday. Overall, I’d say this week’s update is pretty cool. Thanks for the update and happy holidays.

  • Suikoden? suikoden? I love you Sony!! Please bring Suikoden 2 soon as well!

  • To anyone wondering about Lumines, I’ve been playing it and it is fantastic. I’ve played all the other Lumines titles (Lumines is what brought me to Sony gaming to begin with), and this one has some great new skins and is quite fun and well polished.

The Sequencer is pretty cool, too, and I’m hoping they add even more sounds and options to it in the future.

I’m sure hoping they come out with Rez HD and Every Extend Extra Extreme soon, too!

  • The little Big Planet Metal Gear Solid download is fantastic. The levels are challenging and funny. It is nice knowing that Konami has a sense of humor. Sort like a Mad Magazine version of Metal Gear Solid. Great stuff!

  • Besides LBP everything else is full of fail. Stupid DLC, DON’T YOU PEOPLE REMEMBER WHEN GAMES HAD SOMETHING CALLED UNLOCKS!!

Quit being greedy, character packs….that any noob modder could make. Least LBP is actually worth the money.

  • Christina Lee in HD!!!

It’s been a while since my jaw hit the floor due to HD programming…

  • -off topic- help anyone

My PS3 turns off by itself, it then starts a blinking red light,,,,, dont tell me this is like the RROD :(

  • @156…

I have played the LBP MGS levels by myself and with others and they are a blast! The Paintinator does not fail to deliver and the plasma balls are interesting hazards! I was tripped up earlier by the delivery method of the level pack – you’ll find it in the newly created section of the main planet where you’ve purchased stuff. From there is where you launch the MGS levels.

  • Another awesome update. A ton of great stuff this week. Thanks Sony! Enjoy your holiday break. I know I will be having fun with all of my backlogged PS3 games to play! Merry Christmas!

  • I ask again – serious question:

What’s the difference between Pulse and Qore?

  • My wallet exploded today. Got the LBP MGS4 level kit, the LBP Christmas pack, Lumines Supernova and Suikoden 1. Damn PSN is awesome! Right on time as I have the next 10 days off work!!

    Thanks guys!

  • THANKS LBP and KONAMI u uys are great! this dlc jus made my xmas. lets c how well HOME does for us this holiday :p

  • one question, i was trying to buy the lbp, mgs4 dlc, and i tried to add funds on to my wallet with a credit card, everything went fine up until i chose how much money i wanted to add, and then it said “cant add funds” i tried several times and same thing, :( i was really excited about this content, but i cant buy it, is it due to how many ppl were trying at once or is it a problem with the store, either way hope it gets fixed soon, i really really want to play the new dlc

  • It’s been said before but it’s worth repeating; Lumines should’ve been $9.99. Even though I knew it was $15 from the reviews, I was hoping for a last minute price drop or Christmas discount. Oh well it’ll be in my collection eventually because I’m getting eye strain from the mobile version.

  • @147
Yes see comment 138 I found it.
    Thanks!

  • will u people stop being nice this update sucks the only thing good is the little big planet downloadebles but everything else sucks

  • I bought Lumines Supernova for $15 but I still think it’s over priced. PSN games should have a fix limit when it comes to pricing. $10 for regular games and $30-$40 for downloaded AAAs. How come Lumines Supernova doesn’t have a Platinum Trophy? =( That game deserve the Platinum status.

Here’s my reason for buying the OVER PRICED Lumines Supernova.

    1. It’s one of my all time favorite PSP titles.
    2. I had to upgrade to the HDTV version. No more squinting at the PSP screen.
    3. Trophy support

  • I was hoping there would be a MGS bundle with everything for $9-$10. I’m not crazy about the costume pricing.

  • Wow, the LBP Metal Gear level pack kicks ass. Thought it was just going to be a few extra levels with just some extra stickers/art.

It’s its own little game within a game. Costumes, trophies, a weapon for sackboy, levels are setup to be replayed. They did a fantastic job with this pack.

  • here’s another one EU customer disappointed

  • @Media Molecule

    Very nice job on the MGS levels guys. Keep on bringing these tie-ins out, and I will be on top of them. I would love to see;

    God of War
    Killzone
    Jak and Daxter
    Ratchet and Clank
    Uncharted
    Sly Cooper
    Final Fanatsy

My only gripe is the price. I think a flat $9.99 would have been perfect for the MGS pack. Of course this is jut testing the waters so I will let you guys slide for that.

    @PSN Store Staff (PSP side)

    PLEASE

I want more PSP games on the store. I am looking to replace my Killzone Liberation, and I will not buy another UMD game. Get with the times. iPhone is becoming more and more tempting buy the day.

  • i dont get people saying this update sucks

there is a demo during a time where nothing is coming out

    there is a downloadable game

there is dlc for LBP, RB, Disgaea 3, GH:WT, KR, PAIN, HVB, HSG, SWS and BUZZ!

plus there is a ps1 game

if this update doesnt suit you that’s fine but you have to admit content wise it’s great

  • Great update, I already have bought Lumines and the LBP level kit with the paint GUN, :D

I hate to be the one to complain, but I bought the dark angels theme instead of the Dark Knight theme I would have got. In my opinion all the characters should have been in one theme(for 1.99)not the split. Themes can have up to 16 backgrounds that change between them when you load a game or such.

Otherwise great update, and Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah all! Can’t wait for Lumines to finish downloading, it was really fun on the PSP.

    PSN: HerbertFortoon

  • Thank you so much for Suikoden, I am genuinely happy this game went up. Not to mention Castlvainia last week. A grand day for the PSone fan Indeed, and awsome job MM Solid Sack has made my christmas.
PS: Home developers I apologise, you may have dropped the ball there for a sec but I was wrong. Good job

  • I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year

  • Lumines! I love you guys!

And Suikoden! Best update EVER, guys! Merry Christmas!!!

  • SONY, YOU NEED TO FIX THE SHAUN WHITE SNOWBOARDING ADD ON CONTENT!!!!!!! WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD IT, THE OTHER ITEMS ARE DELETED AND ALL YOU CAN SELECT IS THE NEW CONTENT!!!!!! LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME

  • LBP mgs levels are amazing!

  • Where is the End Of Year Special Offer (like in europe)

I would like try Wipeout HD (demo) and buy it at special price. Flow and super stardust at half of the original price ? And other game at special price…

Please Sony, make the same DLC available everywhere….

  • Woooo we AWESOME update! MGS LBP here I come, and a Joker theme! Wow you guys really outdid yourselves this week great job! Happy Holidays to all!!

  • I was expecting more price drops for the holidays… Oh well.
Good update, especially considering another PSOne game, which is great. Konami has been a major supporter of PSN in this sense, have you ever consider a Publisher page for them, like the one Capcom has?
Square needs to start spelling the gold of the PSone era as well… Fast.

  • By the way, happy whatever it is that you may or may not celebrate today and happy new years all!

  • Happy hollidays for all the guys and gals at SCEA and of course to all the PS3 users who post on this blog.
    Cheers

you do have a point, at least once I have bought content and played for about 5 mins and felt dissapointed in my purchase and thought I should have saved to money for other purchases. I now carefully examine each and every offer for DLC out there and take that money, add it on to the original purchase price and ask myself is it worth that total cost? By this point if I bought all the DLC for LBP it would be an incredible cost for the game imo. Though I haven’t bought of any of it yet, I’m seriously considering the MGS addition, mostly for the paintball gun, but then if i were to implement it into a level wouldnt someone have had to bought the pack as well????? It’s not like I could give it away as an item at the beginning of my level, if so, then why would I bother to buy it myself, I think anything with new mechanics involved should be implemented for all users not only those with the extra money. If I’m wrong about how it works with the paintball gun, I’ll be happy to read it somewhere, I’m sure someones already questioned it.

  • Most anticipated update of the year, thanks Sony and Media Molecule! Love the MGS pack. Still hoping for that Penn State theme though. You are going to have it, right? Right?

  • Suikoden on the PSN = EPIC WIN!

  • Playstation Store needs Tomba!(both 1 and 2) and Twisted metal. I heard in the gaming comunnity people really like Tomba! I would buy twisted metal and Tomba if they put it up on Playstation store! It’s the best game I have ever played. It is a Psone game, but it’s legendary! Please put it up there it’s an amazing game and Playstation store will probaly make money off of that game if they put it up there.

  • For the new update I think they should add 3 new games. Tomba!, Tomba2, and Twisted Metal. These games are amazing games. The best one is Tomba! the first one because it is so great i would buy it and i suggest if they put it up other people should buy it. Thos game got a 88 out of 100 or in other words 9 out of 10 or a 4 star which is very good, but in my opiuon it should of got a 5 star. So Sony please add those games to your store because im sure you will make a lot of money from it.

  • Does Pulse have Subtitles?

  • I got LBP DLC and it didn’t work. Nothing on story mode etc. I’m assuming you have to update LBP with your guys 3000300303gb patches (Yes I know its not that big!)

I’ll do that, but have to go to a family thing for Christmas.

BTW: More Playstation classics! We need some Mega Man Legends up on there! (seriously)

  • @191

!!!!!!! OH yeah and TOMBA!! as well.

  • Still sad that there is no Resident Evil 5 Demo preety unfair that Xbox 360 get the demo. Yes I know its land locked in Japan.

  • AFTER DOWNLOADING MGS PACK LBP IS NOT SAVING. EVERYONE IS HAVING THIS. PLEASE REPAIR IT MM!!!!!!!

  • Haven’t paid for any lbp content until now. Level pack is definitely worth the $! Snaaake!!

  • Man now i need to spend 6 dollars on themes. Ahhh. PS you know my weakness

  • Suikoden for $5.99 is a steal, and also its psp compatible, i hope we will see Suikoden 2, but i doubt it since that game is 250$
