  • Crappy update but oh well… waiting for savage moon, it’s in europe; isn’t? why not here?

Like some guy said, I want to know more of wheel of fortune, I don’t like jeopardy and less in multiple choice and about bomberman, loved that game in the other console with my family… but I’m glad to know UNO is comming. The best downloadable game ever… (warhawk do not count lol)

  • I’m guessing the majority of posters are stateside.. in which case: Howdy!

But allow me to put this into perspective for you. I’m an Australian PS3 owner. We still haven’t got Street Fighter II HD Remix, SOCOM: Confrontation or awesome PSOne classics Street Fighter Alpha and Castlevania: SOTN.

Every Friday morning I boot up my PS3 in the vain hope they will appear before me. But every week my dream is quashed.

I know there are licensing hurdles, rating dramas and such but please, whoever looks after the Australian PS Store, give me SF II HD Remix. I’ll love you forever. Do you know how stupid I feel playing this game with an Xbox 360 controller?

    Pretty damn stupid. HELP!

  • Yet again. Another update I could care less about.

  • To all the people complaining about people whining. People shouldn’t be “happy with what they get” on a competitor that is cheaper has more multi-platform content on it sooner. Also it would be nice to have an idea of what to expect ahead of time more consistently to prevent people from whining about such things. Setting a date on Savage Moon, Flower, and many other ‘early 09’ games would help a lot I believe. There is a forum on the boards dedicated to rumors about what will be available when so clearly the “need” is there. Anyway just my two cents.

  • @ 152

Man, I’m spanish and I know exactly what you are talking about… It’s funny how Europe/Australia (SCEE zone) is as important in terms of sales as America and we get pissed over and over again. It really sucks and shows how Sony is messing this generation up.

By the way, I was here to point out that:

Not a single post from any Sony employee here. Great support guys… ¬¬

  • The promise of Fear 2 demo, then the ‘coming soon’ is tbh pretty disappointing.

  • the update wasnt bad space truckin is a good song for the drums on rock band. BUT every update im lookin 4 some ps1 games and I was hoping for u guys 2 add CRASH TEAM RACING, and the rest of the SPYRO series that u have not added yet 2 and 3. It would be great if u could get those in the store especially CTR its my favorite.

  • Hey SONY! I know this has nothing to do with this article, but I wanted to say that YOU NEED TO MARKET THE HELL OUT OF KILLZONE 2. If you want ANY sort of sales push, put the Killzone brand EVERYWHERE.

Also, I think you should use this trailer as part of the game’s advertising campaign:

    http://www.gametrailers.com/player/44150.html

  • When will we see all the new trailers from CES up on the store? Personally, i think someone should be on this from the start and have those sorts of things up on the store immediately after they happen. You know, how Apple does it. Announce it, and BOOM! it’s on the store.

Come on Sony, get in the game!

  • Thanks again for these updates..

    Qore looks great this month.

  • Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhh this is horrible!

    Nothing for PSP
    No demos
Mercenaries update from free to 1.99

PLEASE SONY, PLEASE don’t tell me that the only thing in store for the PSP in 2009 is Resistance Retribution and Loco Roco 2. It’s getting ridiculous. More and more people are selling their psp to get a ds! WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? The rest of them, got into piracy to get the game you’re not giving them.

As you can see right here on Destructoid, I’m not the only one complaining about the lack of PSP content.

    http://www.destructoid.com/how-loving-the-psp-is-driving-me-to-hurt-it-116968.phtml

I can understand that developpers need time and money to do great games. But Sony, you have 3 gold mines sitting right there beside you, the PS1, PS2 and PSP libraries. What are you waiting for?

2008 was great for PS3, but the PSP is suffering from its weak game library since the beginning. You just can’t sit on a few games success. Eventually people will get pretty tired of them. Real gamers are finished with all of those games.

Do something. Please. As a fan I’M BEGGING YOU.

  • Nice Update! Thanks Sony.

    JLogic

  • I knew free stuff would be over one day.

Anyway I’ll be waiting for Cuboid and Mahjong gamer’s reviews.

  • Man, i can’t believe how many of you are whining and moaning like little babies over this update — like the man said, it’s a light update because everyone just came back from the holiday vacation. Did any of you work really hard during your vacation? Are you really so egotistical to think that the rest of the world revolves around you and your base need for more PS Store content? I guess only YOU deserve a break at the end of the year, huh? Everyone else should be working their butts off throughout the holidays just in order to help curb your incessant self-centered consumer mentality. Get a grip, and a LIFE while you’re at it!

  • To 164:

The Rock Band and GH:WT content I’m “whining” about, is available on the Xbox Live Marketplace, as scheduled. It’s not like they’re waiting around for the DLC to arrive from Harmonix and Activision, as spokesman for both companies have said the delay is on Sony’s side and not theirs (which is also evident SINCE IT’S ALREADY ON THE XBL MARKETPLACE.) Maybe while I was on my vacation break of 2 whole days, I should have picked those titles up for the 360 instead.

  • To 165:

I don’t doubt that the delay is on Sony’s side, but maybe Sony rewards their employees with more time off than microsoft does, so they didn’t have the manpower to give you those titles this week, but i’m sure they’ll have them for you next week. They’re not delaying them simply to irritate you. Besides, my comment was not directed at you and your specific complaint, but rather to the numerous amounts of general whining littered throughout this post.

The end of ’08 had so many awesome games released that I’ll be busy for awhile anyway, and I genuinely hope that Sony’s employees did get the time off from work that they, and every other hard-working person in this world, deserve.

  • Anybody want to trade playstation store games. I have about 15 games uncluding quest foor booty. message my, my online id is shotgunsam225

  • including**

  • stop complaining everyone you just make yourself look selfish and stupid. although this update has a little bit less on the content side of things, you all should feel very lucky and fortunate about the amount of pure awesomeness that’s going to be coming to ps3 in the coming weeks, on top of that you STILL dont pay an annual subscription for psn.

sorry, sticks in people’s asses have never looked good to me… take em out, quit hating.

  • you guys are a waste of time i bought the ps3 knowing that it was the better console but u guys have crap software you have not done anything right since the launch of the ps3 free online is useless with out it being any good ur always late with dlc and demos i have to wait one whole month to get the resident evil 5 demo i have been waiting for that game for 2 whole years 2 years sony the demo would hold me until the real game comes out im sorry i ever bought this rubbish console in the first place its the worst console in history i hope ur games division goes bankrupt this year so i can finally throw any that rubbish and all the games i have for it sitting near my hdtv. sony, u disappoint badly to say the least 360 gets the demo first twice thats disgraceful and unacceptable i hate u guys so much u might have the best console but you have the worst software and the worst possible timing where is the money what r u doing with it use the money to ur advantage

  • @170

Like i said before, “Get a grip, and a LIFE while you’re at it.”

The fact that you allow yourself to get this upset over DLC and a demo you’ve been waiting for for 2 years is really sad. If all you’ve had to think and worry about for 2 years is the unannounced release of a video game title then you should be grateful; other people have real cares on their mind.

  • Hi, I’m trying to find the official Square Enix Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII PSP XMB Theme available for download on the Playstation Store. I haven’t been able to find it at all on the Playstation Store and am wondering if its still available. If i’m not mistaken, it was released on March 27, 2008. If it is available, please email me at fallenprodigy@yahoo.com, or at least let me know where I can download it from. I’m tired of all the knockoffs that people have been releasing and want the official Square Enix release. Thank you.
