Until the content is linked to my PSN account for re-downloading, I refuse to utilize the PSN Video Store.
i really think whoever cant use the store , can download movies for free on PC, then watch them on PS3,that would be easier than wait for the store to come outside US

Why is it that Max Payne is still not available in HD?
How come the video store is always updated first thing in the morning, but the game store seems to be updated whenever you feel like it?

hey 55, video store is updated monday, wendsday, and friday…this week….so was the store…lbp on monday, ghwt wendsday…and rest on thurs
It would be very, very helpful if there was some way to see what was available on the PSN video store from a web browser.
As it is, I have no way of browsing the selection while I’m away from the couch, or when my wife is using the TV for something else.
This reduces the likelihood that I will use the store, as I have to clear the slate in the living room in order to bring up the PSN Store even just to decide whether I might want to rent/buy something from y’all.
It’d be especially nice if it were possible to use a browser to select something to download and then have the PS3 start downloading it if it is not otherwise engaged, but that’s much less significant to me at this point than just being able to browse the selection from a browser.
Right now, the only thing I can find is the PSN Store page which just shows ten ‘recommended’ movies, with no way to see the catalog.
I agree that there should BE HD Downloads for movie purchases, the SD looks OK, but the DRm is messed up

Still too expensive. Nice service but you are competing with the local DVD/Blu-ray rental stores and they are cheaper. Not to mention Netflix/Blockbuster mail services.
Odd, I check the store on a regular basis, but since the reorganization for 2009 I haven’t been seeing half the movies listed here in the new release section.
And as always, allow redownloads like with the games section and I’ll buy more. Sony Pictures Entertainment can lead the way ;)
Honestly, I’ve never, nor I probably will never use the video store. I’m just not much of a movie guy. The very few movies I like I own on DVD. In fact just a couple days ago I bought my first 2 Blu-Rays which were Dark Knight and Hulk vs Wolverine. The only series I’m even a big enough fan of to buy every DVD set is The Simpsons. And that’s why I’m posting this. I find it strange how PSN has gotten all the good FOX series except for The Simpasons which would probably sell higher than any of the others, I find that SO odd.
Obviously FOX or The Simpson’s creative team is VERY protective of the series. Which I understand honestly, but not making it available on the PSN video store just seem wierd when every other series is on there. If you got Simpsons seasons that were ahead of where the DVDs are, I’d probably rent ot buy a few. But ifit’s already on DVD, I’d already own it anyway. I HAVE to buy The Simpsons sets the day they come out for the commetaries and extras. I’m obviously a HUGE fan.

Just a request to the PS Store guys.. Can you please take down the video store updates on e-mails going out to Canadian subscribers.. I feel so not wanted everytime I see new movies but can’t have them :(

Problem: DRM is horrible.
Solution: Obtain content “elsewhere” for “infinitely cheaper”.
Result: No money for Video Store.
Problem: No video store outside the US.
Solution: Obtain content “elsewhere”.
Result: Potential consumer base not tapped into.
Funny how I am enjoying content at a cheaper price that I can keep much longer on my PS3 (in HD) and I don’t have the video store in Canada.
Another vote for Europe! No news about the video store for us at all?
@38 Darkwonder – we don’t have an official blog for Europe. We hardly get a word out of the community guys / mods on the EU forums. Basically, nobody talks to us and we’re left in the dark. What SCEA are providing here (the US blog) for you guys is a brilliant service and a great example!
As with everyone else in Canada, when are you going to address this issue…I have not even read an article or even a comment on this issue since it’s release at E3. Is there even anyone working on this or have we been forgotten? As a fan I can easily say that I am quite disappointed in the way that we have been treated in this matter.
Hey can’t you guys add an HD version of Pineapple Express for rental? I wouldn’t mind renting it but I’m not down with buy a SD version on my HDTV…<_<

I agree with KGB29 in some ares – you have to give a subscription option because individual HD shows are WAY overpriced!
Agreed about buying the shows on DVD or Blu-Ray for less than they are in the store! People really need to see that Apple is a money hungry conglomerate and NOT take pricing from them!
You also need to get more bandwidth for the store! I have downloaded demos that have taken HOURS even with a 3mbps connection…I have had my queue filled since yesterday and it is still not dome downloading. At 3mbps I should be able to receive no less than 1GB per hour.
I really wish you would take this off of the blog and just put a link to the list. I really dont need to see all those shows that I will never get due to the price taking up a massive amount of screen space ;)
i just watch the making of “hulk vs wolverine” and the “hulk vs thor” and at the end of the trailors it says that there available in the PS Store, but when i search 4 it i can’t find it. what’s up with that?

Whatever happened to the promise of transferring Blu-Ray movies to your PSP? Is it concerns with supposed PSP piracy, or merely wanting us to repurchase movies we already own?
Okay, so I’m having a cynical Sunday morning ;)
Likely it’s a combination there of, particularly with other studios probably more than a little paranoid about controlling their content.
More on topic, I completely agree with KBG29 and others about the unacceptable level of DRM with the video store. However, I don’t think that Sony Pictures will set the bar as far as allowing redownloads for their movies in the hopes of encouraging other studios to follow suit. I’m wondering if there would be concern for Sony Pictures having an unfair advantage with regard to more flexible DRM, which would then drive the other studios away. Right now the only positive to the video store is the awesome quantity and quality of selection.
Why can’t we access the PC store without using that junk MediaManager program anymore? When did I miss this downward trend of limiting access?
Also, will we ever be able to download videos directly from our PSP’s? I really, really wish to be able to nab the occasional video without using that garbage program or buy a PS3.

Et sinon ya des jeux uniquement en une langue, genre mass effect tu peux acheter la version francaise ou anglaise, c’est au choix chez futureshop bestbuy. So you’re wrong, all games in québec are also in french… (or almost all)
Also, please add canada to the ditribution! It’s not ‘that’ hard to make movies available in french and english, it’s not like it cost THAT MUCH more money… And by the way: it’s also not like it’s not gonna pay..

one thing ive noticed is on the tv show downloads. they are missing a lot of certain episodes. Especially the number six for some reason. that episode is gone in more then half.

When will video download service be available in Canada? Is there some sort of legal issue holding this up like DRM and CRTC regulations? I don’t see why there’s such as issue. thanks
