  • @ 196 I asked the same thing but nope didn’t seem important enough, should have asked what kind of pet he has. I’m sure that would have got through.

  • Why on earth did stupid questions got in, instead of the more important ones, like DLC I asked?!

Anyways, we should do the same chat thingy with Uncharted 2 and GOW III as a start!

  • waste of time

  • Thank you very much I enjoyed this. Jeff thanks for hosting this. I would like to see more of this. I am really starting to feel part of a PS community.

  • I agree with you jakal_, Now I have to expand my music selection for me to grind with on my Warzones.

  • The chat is good. I would suggest being able to search through the chat before it’s finished. I was trying to scroll up and it would constantly bring me back to the latest comment being posted.

  • @jeff yea thats true..but still..you surely read the comments before you posted it..you could pulled out the worthes irrelivant questions

  • Jeff honestly next time do it like you always do it, ask us to post questions here on the blog and you ask them. This was kind of a joke I understand there was many people but some of the questions were pointless like will you marry me.

  • @200 SeanScythe

lolll i know what you mean, the female helgist question was pathetic loll but he got a lot of comments to filter so i understand it must not have been easy

  • Thanks for asking my beer question Jeff. It was just really important

  • none of my comments got through, still was good that someone from GG took some time off to talk to the fans.

  • So Jeff, can you please be a good man and post the stuff that they answered?

    Thanks bro

  • None of my questions got through but it’s cool I’m sure the traffic was nuts so I understand!!! :D It was fun never the less and I got some of my questions answered thanks to other posters who managed to get the answers we were looking for, so thank you to Jeff, Seb, GG, and Sony for putting this together and doing a great job!!! :D

  • Good Effort Jeff, but this was a gigantic waste of time for anyone seeking new information about KZ2.

Everything covered was covered previously, and is pretty largely covered under FAQ. Someone asked about the cover system in MP. THis has been asked to death on this site, and everywhere else.

If the blog is supposed to be for everyone, thats fine. But i’m under the imrpession its for PS3 owners who are losers enought to even check the blog daily(more than likely people who follow internet news about this game) and all of the questions were stupid.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, but asking things over and over again that google can answer is just lame.

Its unfortunate that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it was definitely wasted on stuff thats already known or out in the media if you simply care to look.

  • Nice chat, but hopefully future ones will have more relevant questions. I did like the Helghast women reply and the Belgian beer replay as well.

Not only is he an awesome developer, but can crack a joke! BRILLIANT!

  • well heres a suggestion next time before the chat starts just ask people to not like say ‘ Hi Seb (or w/e) or… basically no comments just questions

  • as a general chat, its fine. But this wasn’t the Q&A many people were looking forward to.

Back to work for me now.

  • Just don’t put “Let the Bodies Hit the Floor”, the “Sephiroth Theme” or anything by Green Day or Linkin Park. I get enough of that crap on 70% of all game-related Youtube videos. I might just throw in Phil Collins’ “In The Air to Night” for good measure as well. It will steady my hand while sniping.

Then again, I’ll probably end up throwing in “The Diabetes Song”, “Badger Badger Badger” and the masterpiece known as “Shine on Me” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDyDz8WeiM4&feature=related into the mix for others to enjoy as well.

  • damn, i agree with the other people saying the “dumb” questions got in but it’s okay jeff i understand 10-15 Q’s per seconds is crazy…
i wanted to ask if in DLC will we have more game modes like SOCOM: 1 life per round :/

either way it was fun watching

  • whatever happen to the info on how to get that rifle replica? Jeff i know this was hard on you and some people are crying for not getting their questions in there(i am 1 of them) but how about next time we ask the questions as a comment and you ask him for us with the ability to read in real time, it’ll be better i think. anyway good try

  • I think everyone needs to take a moment and definitely thank Jeff&GG for doing this. It was great, yeah the questions could have been more… i dont know.. useful? but It was a good idea.

THanks for setting it up, I hope most of this doesn’t come off too critical. But you’re dealing with people who are DYING to get their hands on KZ2, and any other information. THis is the one title that defines the PS3’s life, so its a gigantic deal.

Some of that might get lost in just reading all the negatives, but its a good thing. If the expectations weren’t so high, no one would care. But this is amazing technolgoy and we got to talk to the creators.

THe blog is great, and thanks for all the hard work man! But at the same time hey.. you get PAID to do this lol! Take it easy

  • Maybe if there is a “Next Time” more people can work to help you out Jeff. There was obviously too many comments for 1 person to sort through.

  • i need to ask why they felt the need not to include deathmatch?

  • Pretty sweet, need to do this from now on with other developers as well. PSN & PS3 games… would have been cool to chat with ThatGameCompany about Flower, maybe in the future? :)

  • Jeff Rubenstein replied on February 18, 2009 at 1:23 pm
Because of the amount of questions coming in, it was impossible to even *read* all of them in the hour. We pulled the best stuff we could find from what was on screen at any given time, but chances are your question wasn’t even seen (seriously, the screen refreshed every 2 seconds or so).

So don’t take offense, it’s not personal, and thanks for trying.

So wait “Will you marry me? What is your favorite beer? These seemed to be the “BEST” questions you could pick out of the 10’s of thousands you got? Come on Jeff how old do you think we are?

  • @222

We used to host these on the forums. I’m not sure why the blog chose to take over, but it was way too much for 1 person to moderate.

  • Great idea doing this. Wish I could have been apart of it.

  • Because, Deathmatch is the most boring multiplayer mode and it might be included after all, just not in the Warzone mode. All Seb addressed is what game modes were in Warzone. You can’t switch Assassination to Deathmatch, that would be really stupid.

  • I WILL NOT BE PLAYING/BUYING/RECOMMENDING THIS GAME UNTIL SEB DOWNIE APOLOGIZES FOR BEING A JERK TO ME DURING THE PSP KILLZONE LIBERATION BETA TEST.

  • Yeah, I think willacuz is right.
The Blog is great and this was the first time we all did this. I hope we get another chance with Killzone 2 devs, and hopefully we learn from our mistakes.

  • Seriously Jeff, you have to be the hardest working member at SCEA. Hope they are paying your well and even if they do, you may want to ask for a raise.

  • This chat was a great idea and I see why it was practically impossible to post all the questions. I think a better way to approach this is to have the readers post a single question each in the comments and then Jeff can pick the best ones and Seb can answer them through a streaming webcam video instead.

  • I missed this, but I have one question that I’m dying to know the answer to. In multiplayer, can we bring n a guest and play split screen? Games like Warhawk and Resistance 2 supported this feature, while others such as Call of Duty 4 did not. It’s an essential option in my opinion.

  • Hey Jeff although i wasn’t able to participate because I am at work I thought this live chat was great. I was able to get some of the answers to the questions I had and I didn’t even have to ask. (LOL)

I know that this a live CHAT but maybe you could try getting a list of questions before hand that way a lot more questions can get answered. And if there is anymore time left you can get some random questions.

I know that this defeats the purpose of a Live CHAT but hey to satisfy a lot more people to get their questions answered I think it is a pretty decent idea.

Well I just wanted to add that but it’s just my opinion so of course you don’t have to listen to me. (LOL)

  • Thanks for the hard work Jeff, and Seb and all those behind the scenes. I didn’t see it live but went back through and got to read it all. Thanks again for spending the time to answer as many of our questions as possible. The 27th can’t get here soon enough

  • hey jeff Im not upset at u, Im piss at those silly question like will u marry me or seb wat beer do u drink those question should have been deleted. But Im not going to let this bring me down. All I want is feb 27 to hurry up.

  • Man, leave this guy alone. Jeff, you did a great job. If your question didn’t get answered/asked, go on with your day. there was a lot of great info for us in there.

  • Why the link to
    Glasgow Rangers?

  • I left around the time they started asking what his favorite beer was. That’s when I knew it was just going to go downhill from there. At that point I knew this whole thing was just a waste of time. I won’t bother checking out any future live chats like this as it will more than likely be filled with nothing but stupid off-topic questions.

It’s like having a live chat with Kojima for 1 hour and the questions all consist of stupid things like “Hey Kojima, do you liek honeybuns?! LOLZ!”

I hope that example doesn’t make you actually want to have a live chat with Kojima as I am sure he wouldn’t want to have to sit through all of the idiotic questions which you think are the “best”.

  • @ 238: surely you don’t expect them to reveal their awesome DLC they have planned for 2010 in a blog-chat? Sheesh, people these days…

  • I really hope this game is big as Resistance or Call of Duty 4 online. That’s what i’m really looking forward forward to.

  • In future give Eastern time as well when you do an interview like this again.

  • @189 I agree with u those question should have never made it, now I guess ps forums is fill with piss off gamers.

  • awesome, can’t wait for this game.

  • @207 I agree with u.

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwww I missed out!

Argh too bad I was in my anthro class!! Dar it should of skipped it today, so I can be part of that chat ;)

Jeff, I HOPE that we can do a lot more of these later on!

  • this was cool we must do it again with upcoming games :-D

  • Well…dammit. Eh, wasn’t like I had any super-creative questions to ask. I have it preordered so I’ll no doubt be finding all the answers very soon.

  • Even tho i couldnt attend the Chat I love the idea.. and there needs to be Lots more of this More Often :D
