I think you folks do a wonderful job in keeping the interface of the PS3 fresh for not only gamers, but media center people as well. I for example just bought an HD camcorder that records in AVC-HD. I know Sony makes some consumer camcorders that record in this format. I think it would be pretty amazing for Sony to add AVC-HD support (Sony AND Canon, please) so we could take our clips and watch directly on the PS3. Think about it. Wow... just, wow!

Yes I have heard about this Microsoft patent but is this confirmed by Sony or by Microsoft to be the actual reason? Nobody at Sony has confirmed this to the case. If this patent is the reason why Sony can't give us custom soundtracks then surely there must be a better loop hole than the one they have at the moment giving it to developers to include, as only a select number of developers are including custom music in their games and rightly so, there is no way a developer is going to phase out their own game soundtrack which they spend lots of $$$$ on just for it to be replaced by a user created soundtrack. No Sony need to come up with a different method somehow. Maybe enable custom soundtracks from the PSP or an IPod instead of the PS3.

When is there going to be a better system for assigning controller numbers? My problem is that the controller used to remotely turn on the system is often assigned something other than the first controller spot, if some other sort of controller is plugged into the USB ports. This is OK for use in the XMB, but I think it should switch the controller used to enter into a game to controller number #1, or at least give an option to let it automatically do it. Otherwise I have to switch it manually in the XMB.

Microsoft own the rights to Custom Soundtracks (In Game Music), that is why Sony have left it up to the developers of each game as to whether they implement it or not, Sony have provided the means but can't provide the feature in all games

Definitely good improvements, but looking forward to cross game chat with pre selected friends. The cross game text chat is a lot better than nothing though. Coming from playing mostly PC games, this was a huge problem to worry about, but at least we can now text chat to get in the same games.

All I want is to play my game in all of my games. I'd like voice chat as well but in game custom music is what I want most of all. This needs to be made as a console feature and shouldn't be given to developers to include as up to now it is only mainly EA-published games that are suppoting it. Smaller game companies are struggling to include it. In game music should be implemented from the PS3 direct. Please Eric and team can we have this for the next firmware update. This will make my PS3 experience complete.
