    ERIC LEMPEL
    – Universal Game Invites and Join Session Button(Friends list)
    – Voice Mail and Private Voice Chat in-game
    – Add OPTIONAL sound for notifications(sign on, new messages,etc.)
    -symbols and numbers that represent friends online and messages received somewhere on the XMB and beside message box
    -Auto Sync Trophies when received
    -More developed profiles(friend’s friends,nicer looking,last online, etc.) + mentioned options on profiles
    -Report feature to report issues, cheaters etc.
    -Faster loading in-game XMB and profiles
    -When you receive a message you should be able to push the PS button for it to automatically pop up as long as the notification is still there and if you are in a chat room the chat room should pop up.
    -More Avatars
    -XMB for PS2 games and movies

    Great Sony but…

    -Killzone 2 needs bigger maps
    -Socom needs a remake (no one plays it anymore even though its pretty good now)
    -Fat Princess needs to come out :-/
    -Valkyria Chronicles needs TROPHIES!
    –PS3 NEEDS CROSS GAME CHAT

    -Release Final Fantasy VII here in US on PSN, it would be huge and all over news sites, make it render in wide screen (trophies & 1080p would be cool too)

    -Lower the price of the PS3 already.
    -PS3 needs CROSS GAME CHAT.
    -Valkyria Chronicles needs trophies.

    (sigh) I was really looking forward to the Fat Princes news. Out of all the great games coming out this year, Fat Princess is the one I am most excited about. It’s like waiting for LBP to come out all over again!

    good week not great as others but good nonetheless , Chris PULSE should be weekly and longer , i really like the show , is there any way that i can watch it without having to download it to my hdd ps3 ? and i thought you guys were gonna put the motorstorm arctic edge and resistance retribution videos on the ps store, europe have them and they are really cool, one more thing Chris i hope you can answer me, is it true that target entertainment will start selling sony merchandise??? meaning tshirts, action figurines and more playstation items???

    It does not make the other one useless because one of them gets saved and one of them is live and unsaved. If I send you a voice message right now while you aren’t on PSN you’d get it it. If the user you are sending the message to dosen’t have a headset they can still also get the message. It dosen’t make the other thing useless. Also because you have to invite the person for private chat.

    I don’t see why you don’t want a faster loading XMB and profiles, they did improve loading on 2.70 though.

    Like i’ve said adding a symbol that shows how many message you have prevents you from having to manually check your inbox. That’s why Facebook, Forums, Emails and all sorts of things all have things like:

    Inbox (0)
    Messages (0)
    New Messages(3)

    because it informs you without making the user manually check stuff.

    If you get a message from someone why wouldn’t you want it to automatically open that message when you push the PS button?

    Sony better have been busting their balls to get FF7 on the US store for the US release of FF7ACC or I’m going to be completely pissed off at you guys. There is no bigger game than FF7 that should have been day to date in all regions than FF7 for PS Store release. Bad enough they have Metal Gear Solid (must have) and all of the Resident Evils (which I don’t even play) in Japan Store.

    um the whole idea is so you don’t have to push triangle or go to your message box the whole idea is anywhere on your XMB you’ll always see a mail symbol and number beside telling you how many new messages you have like how forums, emails and social networking sites do it.

    Also it dosen’t make you lazy if you don’t like to wait it makes you impatient it makes me lazy that I don’t want to keep checking my message box manually to look for new messages however should still be fixed by adding a mail symbol like I said above.

    I agree with most of the ideas for firmware, but would like faster download speeds from game updates.
    Took me less than 10 minutes to download 2 HD game trailers, yet gave me an ETA of 45 minutes to download a 15mb update on wipeout HD!, also took my mate a night to download the LBP updates. Theres something wrong there.

    hey guys is it just me or firmware 2.7 added a feauture to the sixaxis/dualshock 3 in which you can play your ps1 games without having to press the button when entering to the game or when you go out to the xmb.was this feature there before?either case that shows that sony is listening to us and improving the ps3 one update at the time :)

    Oh yeah forgot to add in that next week is going to be awesome, with GI magazine coming out. We got MAG info, Bioshock 2 info, and Assassins Creed 2 info. Also I’m expecting more on Fat Princess.

    Oh yeah forgot you guys said FW 3.00 was coming out next week too. :P If that were to happen I would be soooo happy.
