I think they should put GOW I & II on bluray. People like me can enjoy GOW I & II before start playing GOW III. Do a pre-order thing, where if you pre-order the Collector’s Edition. Depends on how much money you put down, you’ll get in return the GOW I & II bluray. When the game comes out, you can pay the remaining and get the game with little goodies. PS. People that want to get the GOW I and II bluray shouldn’t be able to return them. Should be not returnable……. IF the game by itself is the usual price 59.99 + $20 Bonus would be a fair price to pay for them.
I hope that they put the t shirt in the collectors edition. gow3 is gonna be the best game ever.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but Ken, can you clarify the intent of GOW 1 and 2 on a Blu-ray disc? It doesn’t make any sense, only a handful of owners have enough BC to play it. Are you guys hinting at software emulation or what?

I was reading in OPM and suddenly I saw an seven-page-long God of War III advertisement.
My eyes got opened as they never did before and my chin fell 1 meter down on the coolest page I ever saw. I heald my breath for about a minute. After 2 minutes hyperventilating, I started reading. The first sentence was something like: “God of War III will be the game that will finally show the power of the Playstation 3.” I already watched the latest trailer and so I agreed immediatly.
I am a 1000% sure that this game will be the best God of War, best game and greatest revolution in gaming history ever !

Oh yeah, I would also like to say that God of War III is the greatest reason to get a Playstation 3 –> because of the gameplay, graphics, because of EVERYTHING !

Here’s something I’d like it to include:
– God of War and God of War II on Blu-ray disc (surprise)
I haven’t played them, so would be cool to eventually have them.
– A poster or two
– Access to (exclusive) downloadable content, as long as it doesn’t give any benefit. So just something purely cosmetic, different weapon skins for an example.
A free key for LBP GOW pack (or even the Kratos costume) would be nice too.
– An art book
I wouldn’t want any collectible items, especially a T-shirt… “I bought GoW 3 CE and all I got was this stupid T-shirt!” xD
But yeah, anything besides GoW 1 + 2 and exclusive packaging & cover will be extra for me :)

It would be awesome to have GOW 1 and 2 on Blu-ray as long as they were enhanced in HD and most importantly Trophy support for both GOW 1 and 2,Trophies would be a MUST!You would be guarneteed to sell double if that they had trophies.
It would also be awesome to have the PSP version on there too,So we coulp play it proper with a controller and on the big screen with better GFX(Up the Res.)
I would also love for Artbook,Action figure,And Exclusive DLC,those are the ones on top of the list along with GOW 1,2 and COO on Blu-ray.

I never owned GoW or GoWII, but I have played them before. I am really looking forward to playing III like no other . . .
Kudos to the person behind this idea. It truly shows when someone cares what the consumer thinks. Add as much as you can, It’s a Blu-ray disc, look what the C&C guys did with their release.

Oh god, having GOW 1 and 2 on the disc would be EPIC.
If by any chance they could be upconverted and made widescreen, that would just bring tears to my eyes. But even if not, just having them would be awesome.
Please make the actual clear case that the disc is in look the same as other PS3 games.
You can put that clear case in a box or cover or something. But for people like me that like uniformity, have it so that if we take case for the disc out of the box, it sits uniform with other PS3 games.

I just need a single button that states “All of the above please!” Seriously, I’ve taken part in so many of these forums and they usually have really poor ideas but, this one…I can honestly say I’ll miss every piece that doesn’t make the cut. GoWI/II on Blu-Ray with some sort of on-disc Software Emu (and Trophy support) would be an astounding feature for veterans and new fans alike.
A Blu-ray copy of God of War 1 & 2 would change what many thought was a worthless purchase in getting a so called “Collector’s Edition”. I really hope they can pull this part of a collector’s edition off… It would definitly push me to purchese this; in fact it would be the first time I found a Collector’s Edition of anything worth the money.
If god of war one and two are included it just shows how much time you guys are going to put into this game. BUT PLEASE DONT RUSH IT!!!

GOW 1 and 2 on bluray but make it at least 720p and I’ll buy the CE in heartbeat along with millions.That would be the ultimate CE.
I’m not sure what all you guys are thinking here, that think GOW 1&2 would have updated graphics, and trophy support? I mean, that would be a LOT of work. I’m sure they’re just suggesting that they could include the first two games, as is, running emulated on the PS3.
As for upscaling, well sure…. I have the old 60gb model, and GoW II runs on my screen, upscaled to 1080p, and it supported Widescreen anyway.
I’m sure that if they include GoW 1 & 2, then this is what we’d get, the PS2 versions of the game, included on the disk, running emulated, so ALL PS3s can play it, not just those of us with the original model.
Don’t go expecting TOO much, it doesn’t look GREAT upscaled to 1080p, especially after getting used to PS3 games levels of graphics, but it’s still GoW and it’s still very very playable.
So come on guys, stop and think about it.
I’m sure they’re thinking of offering the original two games, as is, emulated, so no trophy support, no updated graphics, I’m sure it’ll just be upscaled to 1080p. What a great offer this is too.
If they were to take on the work of translating it to PS3, and updating the graphics, and including trophy support, then they’d release it seperately, and charge full price.
As for the other poster who suggested a Kratos DS3, I love the idea!

I think that the GoW I+II are the most important to me cause my PS3 isn’t BC. I don’t really care if they are upgraded to the HD levels that GoW III is going to be at, they were already beautiful, I just want to play them. As for DLC don’t make it the “uber weapon of awesomeness” a free theme or avatar for the Home would be awesome IMO.
Oh and Sony you guys should make the Collector’s Edition a metal case instead of plastic [:
1. A blackgrounded steelcase with silver blades of athena and some zombies and stuff that he’s slaughtering and you can see much blood on the steel case.
2. A miniposter.
3. A little comic book.
4. A CD with all the music of the god of war series.
5. God of war 1 and 2 together on bluray but it wont have to.
I would give much money on this edition!
