  • Disapointed once again. The PS Store updates have been very lacking the past couple weeks. I havent found anything of interest lately.

  • anything on the cuboid packs

  • Damn need to wait until I can download the PJE E pack… my credit card which I just got new from Visa is being denied by my own region store :-(

  • Its sad that they arent doing anything in the US for PSone games on the PSN like in Japan. I mean, its one thing to say you’ll bring ’em out here….its another to still release none after that.

And no PSP items. Could it seriously get worse?

And what confuses me about all of this, is they have no problems replying to comments about “oh man, this rocks” but when you mention this stuff, you dont get replied to. Just as with how there is no communication on this post at all….too many people pointing out the lack of follow thru on Sony’s behalf.

  • more midnight club los angeles dlc please…

  • It seems like Sony isn’t even trying anymore. No Galactrix, Outrun and still no PS1 games.

  • Wow, over 200 comments, and no feedback from Sony.

I asked this question last week, I will ask it again.

It seems like there are a lot of questions on here that deserve some sort of response, but we are met with silence. Is there a reason so many of the other blogposts get replies from Sony Staff, and the Playstation Store posts get very little if any attention?

This is a customer service issue to me.

  • Nothing much for me in this update.

  • UK got the last two Naruto add ons is the US ever going to get those for free also?

  • Why aren’t these updates made at Thursday Midnight PST (assuming you’re doing these out west)? It’s really confusing and the lack of update information ahead of time does not provide adequate customer service.

As for Valkyria Chronicles–I would pick this up as soon as trophies are made available. The lack of a trophy patch is disheartening at best…

  • And the whining continues….

  • Quixote–you’re 100% correct.

Sony is handily losing to the competition in the North American market, and they’re neck and neck with their competition in Europe.

What would (and should) separate them from their competition would be a premium experience for the price paid for admission.

Openness about it’s online events/community, excellent customer service, and fan service above and beyond the competition should be the norm, but none of this is happening in any way yet.

If Sony wants to differentiate themselves and carve out a successful niche this gen, then they’ll have to do it with people, and not hardware or software, as the latter two options aren’t getting it done so far.

Mind you, having said all this, I enjoy my PS3 still, though I am troubled that all that was worthy of procurement in their store this week was the University of Nebraska theme.

  • Magic Ball update. WOOT! Great new costume for LBP. WOOT! Great job Sony! And more cars for Midnight Club. Looks like a good week to me!

  • Where is Final Fantasy VII ? PSN Japan is getting it you know…

    Where’s Crystal Defenders?

  • WTB PSP games PST

Seriously… other countries get weekly PSP games either in the form of PSOne titles or downloadable PSP games, like Resistance.

Futhermore, I’m 100% amazed that Sony is actually going with a digital distribution for Patapon 2, at least in North America. I mean, that’s like… breaking the sacred code of keeping new release digital PSP games off the PSP Store.

WTB More PSP PSOne titles and digital PSP games that don’t suck PST

  • Wow, those Valkyria Chronicles expansions are a rip off, I’m sorry. I loved the game, hyped the crap out of it, and now I am disappointed by this clear abuse of the whole DLC concept. $15 for a few extra hours with the game, bringing the total spent for someone who bought the game at launch to $75. That’s just lame. This kind of thing is going to cause developers to hold back chunks of their games just to hit you up for extra cash later on down the road. Valkyria Chronicles is one of my favorite PS3 games to date, but I regret to say, I am not playing ball on this one, the expansion packs can rot in their place on PSN until SEGA comes up with a more reasonable price structure.

  • hey, some sonic unleashed DAY levels. I may just buy these extra levels, for the DAY levels. I will not forgive Sega for the werehog junk

  • NO PSP STORE STUFF!? WTF IS UP WITH THIS!?

  • Hello this is my firts post … I’ve been reading the blog for quite a while now and it’s a really good place (if not the best) to get PS news…. 1 question anyone knows when is the PSN Store goin to be fully available for Latin America (Panama to be specific) I really want to get my hands on a couple of DLC for varius games, since I ran out of the PSN money that I got from the cards I purchased on my last trip to the US. I’ve been unable to “upgrade my games” (PSN dosen’t let’s me use my credit card) really apreciate any info you guys have … thanks !!

  • Guys, you really have to get on the ball with these PSOne games. Following up the Japanese FF7 bombshell with absolutely nothing? Buh? Your method of running this store, it makes absolutely no sense. Maybe the difference is that the Japanese store has actual gamers at the helm? How many of you play games regularly? Maybe that’s why you have no idea what gamers want, and are afraid to reply to comments on your update blogs.

  • Chinese Democracy!! Yeeeaaaahhhh!!! :D.

Nice Valkyria Chronicles DLC, but a bit expensive. Valkyria Chronicles needs Trophy Support and a new advertisement campaign… it would sell much more. Don’t forget it’s one of the best games in PS3 (if not the best).

    Cheers!

  • At EOGamer

    Brilliant post dude.
You what they say… “truth hurts” ;).

  • ^ *You know what they say*

  • whew had me worried when i saw FFVII on jp psn. Since it is technically changed the value for the original FFVII is still high, actually it went up because of the rerelease so if you want to release it here from a collectors standpoint go ahead FFVII:international will probably do great.

Is their any chance of you guys can talk to big companies and what they are planning for e3 or a sneak peek. Probably should definitely talk to Square Enix since last E3 do not want another surprise

  • Holy Jesus, get a grib of yourself folks, or cry with your mommies. If you don’t get something you want from Sony, you’re starting to whine like a spoiled brat.

  • Onna, crying about people “crying” is in itself, crying. Lead by example and stop trying pick petty internet slap fights with people because they aren’t in lock step with your opinions. That’s every bit as childish as you think other people are being.

  • and where is someone from sony to answer any of these questions?

guess you have to get up here within 20 minutes of blog post to even come close to getting a reply, this was yesterday. i guess they have moved on.

so no answers to any of the questions that have come at you from multiple PS3 owners?

  • Does anyone know how to upload a picture to the playstation profile?

  • ghostbusters demo……..anyone? its been too long.

  • @EOGamer at least I don’t whine in every blog post about things that are missing that I want, give Sony a [DELETED] break for once!

  • No Demo’s = No Good. Nothing really good lately.

  • Sony, You need to PICK UP THE PACE or you WILL LOSE some customers to NINTENDO OR MICROSOFT!

  • Sony has left some high paying projects in a standstill.

  • where my puzzle questin goodness?

  • i want Dark mist on US PSN

also wild arms 2 and legend of legaia on the PS Store MOre PS1 Games

  • i still cant get the map pack for call of duty: world at war…i really wanna start playing it…

  • mpre ps1 games for psp like wild arms 2, legend of dragoon and legend of legaia

  • No demos? tsk tsk.

  • I guess this is a slow week for updates. How about some new maps for co-op in Resistance 2??

  • Thank you for the update. It had some nice perks and all for free. We really appreciate the time and talent it takes for you to work these up and the fact that you don’t make us pay for every little thing. I realize a little gratitude goes a long ways. I would also like to make a request for more eyetoy user games. Or a list of the ones you already have. You have Antigrav for p2 you could rework? Thank you.

  • still waiting for tetris…

  • can we get some add ons for the psp plz

  • with all the good games coming out this year the psp deserves to get some decent add ons this year

  • when are we gonna be gettin the demo for infamous and prototype. thats all i care about at the moment :-).

  • @Onna

But you do whine in every blog post about people whining, which is in and of itself…. whining.

    You’re a whiner, a sycophant, and a hypocrite.

  • could you guys put a killzone online demo?

  • Final Fantasy VII was released on the Japanese Store, I was just wondering if there were any plans on releasing it in North America?

  • With all of this crap being released this year, SONY IS WAY BEHIND SCHEDULE. Of course many euros and Darla get to purchase the WipEout Pulse DLC, BUT SCEE left the United States and Japan OUT OF THE PICTURE. So Sony HAS SCREWED UP on ads and the game. Sony Computer Entertainment America GIVE a =>RELEASE DATEWipEout Pulse DLC<=

  • Suppose to be Release date for Wipeout Pulse DLC

  • hey testing
