why oh why oh why can we STILL not rip tracks from previous singstar disks onto the Ps3 hard drive to cut out constant disk swapping.

I wouldnt mind starting a party and inserting each disk to verify that i own it – then i could simply choose from a massive library.

Im close to switching to lips on the 360 for this very reason. there is simply no excuse for disk swapping…. very very very lazy of you Sony, i dont know a single singstar owner that doesnt want to stop the swaps – yet its th one request that seems to get ignored over and over again. shameful.

How can people compare rock band/ guitar heros to sing star? i have all three, guitar hero is the personal fave but even the down load content isn’t great on that and rock band 2 is almost a clone of gh world tour. but i didn’t buy either for the singing content, you buy them for the guitar/ drum element, singing is a bonus! anyone can pick up a mic and sing which makes it good at parties, have you ever tried getting a load of amature playing plastic insruments. if you wanna sing GET SINGSTAR, if you wanna pretened you in a band GET THE ONE OF THE OTHER 2 but dont compare

great news on the trophies BUT this is getting so frustating…..you bring out a game then at a later date add trophies meaning regardless of what you have achieved since owning the game, you have to start all over.

Sucks that the trophy support is not retroactive. Lord knows I’ve played more than 300 songs.

How about actually releasing songs people want with DRM tied to your account and not machine? Release non censored adult songs, not everyone wants to sing Hakunah Matata.

I gave up on this game last year, after months of worthless store updates, I won’t go back. Rock Band does a much better job of supporting their product, and they don’t force you to buy and swap multiple game discs just to get some decent songs.

Why does SONY/SingStar continue to screw with us. The whole reason behind the SingStore is so we can pay $1.50 to download “new” (aka stale) content to our PS3′s. When they started putting out discs with songs exclusive of the SingStore, that’s when I lost it. Not only is the store selection lacking but at times it’s taken more than a month before updated material hits the site. Now there are songs we DO WANT but I have to buy and swap discs? Ridiculous. I was a guy that spent $30 online the first few months, a little less the next, then slowly trickled to nothing because there’s nothing to buy.

This is great news. I bought SingStar PS3 when it was launched in London and it is a really enjoyable party game. Trophies are a nice bonus. I will download the patch later. Thanks!

Finally!!
I was getting to the point where I was going to try and order the Queen version from Europe!

… this is the one version of Singstar that might actually sell people on the game… and once they play, it’s ton of fun!
