The pre-E3 PlayStation press tour continues, now from sunny Seattle. And so we want to know: What do you want us to ask Sucker Punch and Zipper Interactive about, respectively, inFAMOUS and MAG? Just ask away in the comments area below the post.

We were able to get dozens of your previous questions answered yesterday – can’t wait to share those videos with you beginning next week.

Thanks!

@ANYONE ASKING IF MAG IS FPS OR TPS

There are screenshots in this months GameInformer and it shows it in FPS. It mentions they’ve tried it in many perspectives and feel this is the best way to get you immersed into the game.

My question’s:
- How customizable are the matches?
- What’s the third faction?
- Can you go in-depth of how each faction changes the experience you get when playing it?
- What types of maps will we see?
- Will there be any weather effects that could affect the gameplay?
- How much freedom do you have gameplay-wise (i.e. Can I start a game, jump in a plane and fly around, then parachute out?)
- Will there be boats in some shape or form?

And as a request, can you please make in-game music available? I know many say it’s a stupid feature, but I find it best for online shooters at least.

I’ve already pre-ordered inFamous from Gamestop but I really want the gigawatt blades. Will they, or any other powers, be available in DLC at some later point?

Second Question: Is Sucker Punch considering episodic content to continue the story after the game’s release? For a comic book based game, it seems the perfect candidate to become the model game for episodic DLC… even moreso than GTA.

For Sucker Punch: How many hours of gameplay is there to be expected with inFamous’ story, and will there be DLC in the form of seperate stories or even parallel stories revolving around others who have received powers from the explosion?

For Zipper: Is MAG officially confirmed to be a first person shooter? If so, will there be an option to switch to 3rd person like socom? Also, will the game have a single player element to it?

SuckerPunch- What, if any, elements or ideas were translated from the Sly Cooper franchise into InFamous?

-Are you planning on continuing support for InFamous with DLC, Add-Ons, and such?

-Will In-Game Screenshots and XMB Music be supported?

-Would you look into offering the music from the game on the Playstation Store?

Zipper Interactive- MAG has, err…a MASSIVE amount of players in a single match, how is this possible? Also, how many players do you think you’d be able to have on “other” consoles, compared to the PS3?

-Are you planning to continue support for this game through DLC, Add-ons, etc…?

-Does MAG support In-Game Screenshots and/or XMB Music?

-What types of game modes does MAG offer? Typical Deathmatches, Team Deathmatches, Capture the Flag, etc…? Or are there more original game modes exclusive to MAG?

MAG

What features are in place to ensure the player has the best multiplayer experience possible on the PS3. Such as the abilities to:

Join AND invite friends
Party system
Game filters
lots of ranks and trophies available
Squad based chat
Reliable servers
Range of game types
Balanced classes and weapons

…and are there any plans to integrate cross game chat into the XMB. The worst thing is trying to arrange a game amongst a lot of friends through the sluggish text messages. And when the inevitable occurs, a player leaves a game for what ever reason, he will want to remain in voice contact with his friends to explain wtf just happened

The main thing that I want to know is whether or not there will be trophy support for the games, especially MAG – and if so, if they will create a Platinum trophy for it!

Also, will players be able to listen to their own custom in-game soundtracks via the XMB? Inquiring minds want to know! =)

For Infamous is there any co-op or only play.

Is the main character a red head or bald I can never tell.

How different game play wise to graphic, physics and what not from Sly Cooper.

I know they are both totally different games but Infamous is coming out on the PS3 were Sly is on the PS2. So what can they do on the PS3 that they could not before.

As for MAG will they be any story even if it is just loosely put in there. Will the Story be more then just go and kill this bad guy or can we find out why these groups and going to kill this other group.

Same thing as Sucker Punch what is different from the PS2 to the PS3. Will there be vehicles, ships or any thing like them even turrents.

Will MAG come out on Blu Ray or only PSN. Please tell me Blu Ray.

What was the reasoning behind the name MAG, Was this the first name the group at Zipper came up with.

How big is the team working on MAG.

Will there be a beta public meta to work out the kinks like there was for Warhawk?

Will Mag Support split-screen, co-op.

Seeing as PSN allows multiple PSN log in names now could me and a friend play MAG with a group of many other people.

@Zipper

How will the communication between players work in the game? I understand that a player will be grouped in a 8 player squad which is part of a 4 squad platoon which is part of a 4 platoon Company.

Will we only be able to talk to our squad members only? Will the leaders of said squads, platoons and the company be able to communicate with each other? Since there is only 8 members to a squad will we be able to communicate with clan members on another squad? Thanks.

For M.A.G., what is the end game here. Meaning, i’m sure you have your core gameplay and features. But where do you eventually want to take M.A.G. down the road where it might not be possible now. Will this be a one time deal with updates or are we looking at a possible franchise with M.A.G.

Also server side, Zipper has known all to well the cheating that has happened in earlier versions of SOCOM. From your experience what are you going to do about preventing, cheating, lag, glitches, etc. ?

Will there be website, PSN, game and HOME integration?

For Sucker Punch i dont have any questions. I’m really glad you guys are ahead of schedule and thank you for that. Can’t wait to get my hands on both these games.

MAG – How rigid are the teams’ structures in 256-player gameplay?

For instance, how many players is it actually possible to SEE in a game SIMULTANEOUSLY?

Is there going to be some sort of squad-based gameplay which restricts that number, or are we expecting to see massive single battles with 128v128 mayhem?

Any chance of Europe getting a release date? Its starting to look very likely we will be left waiting again.

Also to all the people asking questions regarding inFamous game length. Brian Fleming has already stated in a GDC interview that inFamous story alone will take around 20 hours to complete and there is an additional 100 side quests which are karma specific i.e Every mission for a Hero has a villainous equivalent.

My question about MAG is team work, will be more motivations and punishment for the people who never work in the team? Also team kills, there are people who love to see their teammates die, will be there a punishment for that too?

inFamous: Will the missions appear like GTA (in the radar) or will they flow as you progress the game?

How does Zipper coordinate so many people in there MAG game. I found that in Resistence 2 the sheer number of people in 60 player games was unbarable. Will zipper be creating a game based on chaotic battles or more mellow skermishes, or will the map be laid out to catter for both at once?

MAG questions?
Can you tell us about all of, or any alternate forms of transportation?

The readers want to know about what weapons are being used in the game, and are there un-lockable weapons and upgrades?

Can you tell us more about the class/ranking system?

The PSN is supposed to represent free online game play, what is the business model looking like for M.A.G.?

There is going to be face customization, will we be able to face map using the PS Eye? Something like in Rainbow Six Vegas 2?

When can we expect to see more locations within the game, and how many maps are expected when the game goes gold? DLC?

Communication options, in game, web site, HOME, leader boards, clan management ECT.?

I don’t really have any more questions about inFamous, I will be getting the game though.

MAG :

Why Zipper left SOCOM and did a new IP? Would it not be easier to bring out a game with all the new features but still having the name “SOCOM” on it?

It is confirmed that MAG will have 3 different factions, so is there a story or something like that?

Any details on the health system? Is it more realistic like 1-2 shots and you are dead? Or is there a health bar?

They wont tell us a release date, but can they confirm a 2009 release at least. And I dont mean the fiscal 2009 ;-)

Infamous :

How the good or bad choices have an impact on the story? Will infamous have 2 different endings?

Except choosing the good or bad path how will they try to increase replay value?

BTW, thx this whole Q/A thing is awesome.

Okay I’m not asking anymore I’m Telling Zipper,

Zipper Interactive as one of the better game companies out there, I am telling you not requesting of you but telling you that a THIRD PERSON POV OPTION is a MUST for MAG. You see all of us Socom fans want to buy your game but if you do not put in the 3rdppov then most of us will pass on it. Now I remember the official announcement back some three years ago and I still have the article saved here on my hdd, in it you state that there will be an online only Socom(Confrontation) a new psp version(FTB3) and then a Massive New Socom will be made with offline story and online competitive and co-op modes .
I want you to Keep your word.

We(Socomers) need this game to be 3rd ppov, absolutely need it to be that way or at least an option. You have always included it in the past so why not with this version. Another thing, I think you should change it to Socom Mag. That sounds better and would keep you in true lines with your previous projected outlook of the franchise.
Thank You and have a Great Day.

If there general is a noob, will our team totally fail if he doesn’t know what he’s doing? or will there be set objectives created by the game?

With infamous… the game looks awesome, its the first game of the year that I’m considerably excited about. What do you plan to do to promote this game before its release. I’d hate to see the game ignored simply because it wasn’t promoted well.

With MAG, I am very skeptical. SOCOM for the PS3 did not turn out well. Even after the updates and patches, the game is simply lacking quality. What are you doing with MAG to make it fun. I know the 256 player limit, but that means nothing if the game isn’t exciting. I and many other gamers will be extremely disappointed if MAG ends up like SOCOM.

Can you detail the squad-based combat and implications a bit more in M.A.G.?

For example, will there be scenarios where Squad 1 might be tasked with blowing up a bridge that enemy tanks plan on crossing. If Squad 1 succeeds, Squad 2 doesn’t get attacked by the enemy tanks, if Squad 1 fails, Squad 2 now has tanks to deal with.
