  • Sweet!!!!

  • US only :(

I hope EU gets something soon.

  • Lets go, GAF.

  • that will be a cool feature for kz2… good job devs

  • Not even Canada?? Come on guys, why do you always not seem to care about your neighbors to the north???

  • Who wants a really bad player on their team ?

This great, I wonder what the DLC is ?

  • Count me in!

  • It’s too bad I have no friends that have this game, and that I totally suck at it. Otherwise, count me in!

  • Somebody want to explain why they’re letting kids 13-17 play in this tournament when it’s a Mature rated game? You expect parents to understand the rating system, yet break it in your own rules…wow, Jacko the Wacko’s going to be all over this!

  • Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!!!

I’m only ranked around 3,500 all time but I’ll still get up on this…

  • 13 year olds?

sony needs to solve their double standard issues. 13 year olds can play kz2.. but they cant see the word poop in home, because of what again?

  • really cool.. do you know if there will be spectating allowed? im not sure how that really works but iv seen that in the game., it would be cool if we could watch some of these matches..
BTW: great u2 interview.. and how do sony expect us to keep our jobs when you guys are just roling out insane stuff all the time?? 2009 ps3 ftw

  • why is it that every time a game i play holds a contest i can’t join because i’m not from the US is it just me or does anyone else think this is just bull****.

  • Residents of 13+ on an 18+/mature game?

  • Why not Canada? Why? Why?

  • Sweet!!!
Take that rest of the world!!!!!!

  • @14, true but you can easily find very young kids playing KZ2 on US server.

They are so annoying but they play well though.

  • *NOTE: This ladder is open only to U.S. residents 13 years of age and older.

    Go to hell!

  • I find it funny that the restrictions are 13+ when its an M-rated game:P

  • I hope the US players take this chance and have some fun. It would be cool if some matches were streamed.

    GL HF

  • Sounds great.

But, aren’t M-rated titles to be played by 17+ gamers?

I mean, we all know that never happens, but still…curious.

  • why are the Canadians always complaining?
dude just STFU and go watch some hockey and listen to nikelback

  • Apparently I’m not the only one to catch the irony of having the competition open to 13-year-olds. Can’t buy it until you’re 17 and, as I recall, you can’t even have a PSN account until you’re 17 or so…

  • Disable the assault class. i just don’t know how he cannot fly.

  • NICE! I’m probably not going to win or anything, but it is very nice that there’s a competition like this going on for Killzone 2! Those Helghast suits look incredible! I’d wear one to school! lol

  • I cant wait to compete in this…. wait i cant its for U.S. only……..

  • I’m in for sure…

  • Life-size authentic Helghast suits? Can you wear them? Either way, that’s totally awesome!!!! (Especially if you can wear them…)

  • Pretty sure you can wear them, though somehow $8000 sounds way off for one costume. That’s like film-studio creature skin prices.

  • Sweet! and I’m registered!!!

  • why is it that the US always gets the good stuff?

people in the EU/Canada/Australia (hell the rest of the world) really are losing faith in supporting a company, that just does jack for them..

  • Whats the DLC that you get if you win? I might have to get my friends together for this one!

  • guys! i’m looking for a new clan. i really wanna join this tournament. so if you’re looking for a new member please pm me or add me on psn. PSN ID: aikijuken

    thanks guys!

  • Wow, uh #22, really, you think Nickelback when you think Canada? Ok, sure. I’ll avoid making any comments on what I associate with the US, for your sake.

Yeah, I was excited reading this blog post until it clarified that it would only include US residents. I suppose it makes sense that it’s organized by SCEA; I just find it surprising that Sony doesn’t show the same enthusiasm for bringing services and events across the world (hm, videostore?). Come on, you’re a multinational corporation, supported by consumers all across the globe. In fact, your sales in the US have been hammered by the competition, yet you’re preferential treatment still holds for the US. Maybe i’m avoiding some other issues associated with distributing rewards overseas, or something… but when I think Killzone, I think Netherlands, Europe. So why this event should not include Europe, seems to me a bit messed up. And why this shouldn’t include all of North America (including Canada, where I am from), is beyond me.

Ah well, i’ll wait my turn. Here’s hoping the videostore will turn up soon…

  • @32 I believe it is the map packs coming out in two days… But who knows

  • Only U.S huh… too bad, Looks like you wont be getting the number one Killzone player…

  • @34 … dude, just disregard the comment, and try not to start a flame war. ;)

  • @ 35 I hope your wrong cuz if thats so then I wont buy the map packs until the tourny is over then. Cuz I was goin to buy them this week. But I will wait and see what the official word is.

  • Nice idea, though I’d certainly never have a chance against those at the top of the leaderboards.

  • @38 you REALLY think you will place in the top 5??

  • @39 who cares. Just sign up anyways and have 3 teammates with ya. Its not like its costing you anything. I know I am no god at this game either but would rather enjoy trying anyways. So just give it a shot. ;)

  • Who wnats to Join Team Helghan I know how the hell did i pick such a sweet name lol message me on PS3 and ill invite you to it.

  • @40 do you think you will?

  • Cmmon why is it US only?!
Why not include Canada(its part of north america so acses wont be that hard)I was hoping for this and since it was 13 yrs and older i was ecxited as hell, but when i read Us only, that just brought me down

  • @42 i wanna join!!!! send me an invite to my psn. i’m at my work right now. my psn is aikijuken

  • All i can say to this is BOO! things like this are only ever for US residents, their are people in other country’s who would like to take part to win that helghast outfit but of course you gotta be from the US yet again.

  • Who in the hell would want a Helghast suit/gun? A 3 year old?

  • OMG!!!!!!!! I’m gonna rock!

  • DAMN ONLY IF I HAD 3MORE MEMBERS THAT WANT TO DO THIS MY OTHER 2 MEMBERS DONT WANNA DO THIS :(
    KILLZONE RULES
