Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic hits PSN this Thursday, April 9, and that means everybody will be kung fu fighting. You already heard from SCEA Producer Joshua Miller who answered your questions about RDKF. And during GDC, we let Mattias Nygren from Tarsier Studios take over the camera, as he walks us through the game’s character customization mode in this video:

iBmR3 | April 7th, 2009 at 12:30 pm
Will this be built upon via add-on content, or put out and left to dry? (i.e Crash Commando)
Josh Miller replied on April 7, 2009 at 2:41 pm
DLC is definitely a possibility. : )

Sigmakan | April 7th, 2009 at 12:31 pm

Ausohoj | April 7th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
Looks really good. But i have a question for Chris. Will you be able to play as sackboy in this game? I ask because in one of the trailers, if you look carfully you can see sackboy. So was that just an easter egg, or is sackboy really a playable character?
Chris Morell replied on April 7, 2009 at 1:46 pm
There was a lot of speculating from that trailer, so I guess we’ll find out on Thursday!
17
LightAce | April 7th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
I’m split between getting this or Fat Princess
18
badboodah77 | April 7th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
@#17,
Rag Doll will be out on Thursday. They haven’t announced a date for Fat Princess, so it’s probably a month or two off at least.
19
Snipes424 | April 7th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
Are there any plans to add online down the road? I think I would pick it up if there is a good chance for online play later on, but not sure if there isn’t.

divine1000 | April 7th, 2009 at 1:05 pm
This looks awesome, loved the the trailer on the store btw :)
Hope we’re gonna see some licensed DLC for this title, many of the characters added to LBP would be great to play in this game too, Kratos, Nariko, etc.
Can’t wait for the store update tomorrow…

VixDiesel | April 7th, 2009 at 1:07 pm
If this doesn’t have multiplayer online, I’m less inclined for a day one purchase.

I hope it has multiplayer online,
31
easyaspie00 | April 7th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
COOL! I’ll probably end up getting it. Though I must say I am slightly disappointed that there is not Online-Multiplayer. Than again, I’m guessing this game will be much like PAIN. Playing alone it will be a stinker, but having some people over this will be the game to play!
:D

mikemill | April 7th, 2009 at 1:25 pm

yingyangdr96 | April 7th, 2009 at 1:32 pm
Cool game Im going to buy it Thursday!!!!
But I have one single question that I like to be answered?
What is the price of this game? I have $20.00 in my wallet on PSN.
Jeff Rubenstein replied on April 7, 2009 at 2:24 pm
That’s more than enough. It’ll cost $9.99.

Anyways, thanks for the vid. I’ll be looking forward to this game tomorrow!

41
WFMMK | April 7th, 2009 at 1:56 pm
Day one purchase for sure, I hope this get’s supported like Pain with new characters and such.
42
BabeBro | April 7th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
This game is going to be a first day purchase for me! It looks extremely fun, but I do have one quick question, will it contain custom soundtracks so I can play my own music while playing?
Also, do you guys have anything planned for PlayStation HOME?
43
IIIKAGEIII | April 7th, 2009 at 2:12 pm
do you have to shake the controller to do special moves? is it possible to turn that off?
im not a fun killer i just think i would rather play it like a fighter like mk sf or tekken sort of thing.. i guess its not really that type of game. but still i think i will get sick of having to shake all the time to do specials etc.
Josh Miller replied on April 7, 2009 at 2:46 pm
The way the specials are done with Sixaxis controller will make sense to you. You in essence are mimicing the movements your characters make in doing the specials. They are not hard to do.
44
dsigns209 | April 7th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
Needs online multiplayer.
45
Rude_Sparthan | April 7th, 2009 at 2:23 pm
only in US store…?
46
commedieu | April 7th, 2009 at 2:28 pm
no online multiplayer?
*facepalm*, almost had my 9.99.
47
DeviantBoi | April 7th, 2009 at 2:28 pm
Why no online MP? Will we see this as an update later on?
48
StalkingSilence | April 7th, 2009 at 2:29 pm
What are the rewards (SQUARE BUTTON) that is in the bottom right-hand corner when you are customizing your character?
49
MobileTone | April 7th, 2009 at 2:31 pm
@ 43 IIIKAGEIII – yepp, it’s just for the slam drop, meditate, and power fist, all the other moves are combos of button presses (XXO etc), it does work very well and only needs a quick flick of the pad to slam for example. normally 6axis is the first thing i turn off too, but it’s implemented very well in this game.
50
MobileTone | April 7th, 2009 at 2:33 pm
@ 28 StalkingSilence – they are costume items and new hands, heads, feet etc you unlock while playing the game, like get a trophy you get a new outfit, get the jist? you can mix and match rewards and standard kit, great fun.
