  • Now this is an update. good work guys thanks for all the content!

  • For everyone compaining about the price of Galactrix, trust me, you’ll get way more gameplay out of it than most 60 dollar games

  • Wow, even the PSone game icons look different now. Again, thanks for the update.

  • Bought Spyro the Dragon (even tho I already own it :P) a few a hours before the update. Now we have Spyro 2 as well? Sweet. :)

    Nice update!

  • Haha 3 PsOne claasics and people still complain. This is an excellent update. FWIW If you guys added trophies to PSOne games you’d prob be swimming in money.

  • PS1 Classics, YES! Keep them coming! Good job. The Resident Evil Series, Vagrant Story, Wild Arms 2, pretty much any Konami games.. Bring them all!

  • Was that a TV and Stereo i saw in the PSHome video in the Theater? :D its during the video about the new movie studio apartment.

really good update today! good to see some PSOne games!

I’m downloading some demos, Trailers and Qore as I type!

Oh and BTW there has to be a better way to find and download Qore for us subscribers besides scrolling all the way down our download list looking for it.

  • This is the first decent update that we’ve gotten for over a month. No complaining about anything people.

  • Hi Grace Chen,

    another awesome update today!!

Is it possible to divide the section in PSN video store regarding movies that can be own between HD and SD. I would like to start owning a HD movie since now we can back it up.

    Thank you.

  • WHEN DID SONY STARTED OFFERING PS1 CLASSICS? PLEASE SOMEONE LET ME KNOW, GIVE ME AN ANSWER OR LINK!

  • This is probably my first post, and this may not be the place to ask, but can we expect to see some new avatars? I mean, every time a big game hits (Killzone 2, Resistance 2, LBP, MGS4…!) there’s no up-to-date avatars to match. If we could get, like, a hundred more avatars, I think we’d be good for a while.
Also, I’m very happy to see a demo of a PSN game. Hopefully more games treat us to a demo so we can sample the goods.

  • Yes some more ps1 games, and Sony, thank you. Simple request, you see everyone on these blogs wanting ps1 games, they are already made. I realize you can’t just put out games from other publishers, but at least you could drop us LEGEND OF DRAGOON! My favorite RPG from that Era, and it was developed by Sony so there should be no reason why you can’t put it out, who cares if its 4 discs long, and over a gig it’s a great rpg.

And please bug the hell out of Stingy Squre Enix. I sometimes feel like they are being bribed by micro$haft to not release ff games in North America on PSN, and it wouldn’t suprise me one bit, seeing how that new president of theirs is in bed with m$…yeah I said it..screw you WADA and your deals with m$…if you better give PS3 some love or you will die in bankruptcy right with your rrod box. US ps gamers want and crave rpgs and we want them on a Sony console. Nothing else will do period!

My point is these 3rd party devs need to stop accepting bribes from m$ and realize there products sell worth crap on that platform. Bring in the flood of rpgs this way and through in your ALREADY MADE PS1 GAMES!

  • R-type delta… one of the best shooters ever…

    We want Einhander too!!!!!

  • “The Thunder Flop knows niether friend nor foe!” -The Murray, Sly 2: Band of Thieves I’ll get Murray to give you a Thunder Flop if you don’t give us the inFAMOUS demo soon.

  • Savage Moon demo- roommate already bought and both of us moved to others (Crystal Defenders)

Siren and Qore are passes not my interest

The flash of Galatrix turned me off

PS1 classics, Great to see some finally… but I need my Jumping Flash 2 please! IF I have to Time Attack 6-1 and try to improve my time again… my robotic bunny will need some repairs STAT!

The rest of the PS3 stuff for games I don’t own or won’t play…

PSP stuff Patapon 2 confuses me because I don’t get the game and think the demos hide much of why fans love that game so much. Rest of the PSP stuff is a pass (again Jumping Flash 2 would resolve that)

Just for the return of PS1 games… 5/5!

  • is PSN down? I logged in, went to the store, downloaded 10 things and that fine, I went to message a friend and i got an error. So I signed out, and now, I cant sign back in…even shut down my unit, reseted my router, no go. The downloads are still continuing to download so it means im connected to Sony somehow, but I get get PSN store or my buddylist…anybody else?

  • @ CantaloupeKing: There are already demos for quite a few PSN games out there, just thake a look at the demos section on the PSN if you don’t believe me.

  • pon-pon-pata-pon this update! Loads of stuff, yay!

  • I’d wanted to pick up Disgaea 3, but then I saw the huge volume of DLC they were releasing. Is this another case of Beautiful Katamari, where half the game is locked out so you can pay a fortune to get to it?

The new Need for Speed was bad for that too. There’s no need for DLC to (cumulatively) cost two to three times more than the game. I guess if they sell enough overinflated DLC they don’t worry about losing first sales on the product?

  • We already have High Velocity Bowling. We have been begging for FFVII, MGS and a whole host of other PSone classics and we get … Bowling PSone style? Who thought of that great idea? Honestly who looks over the PSone games and says hey lets release Bowling for PSone? HVB is 1000 times better.
O yeah and we get R Types Delta, kinda already got one of those too lol. Spyro is cool and Patapon 2 rocks but damn I just don’t understand the thought process there with Bowling. At anyrate it is a PSN update and I guess we will take it!
    Thanks!

  • sweetness gotta love all the disgaea love nis gives us

  • OMG, R-TYPE DELTA!!!!!

YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!! Now all you need to do is get EINHANDER on the store and you will have yourselves an epic update. Great job, guys!

  • Did I mention EINHANDER? Oh yeah, get right on that, okay?!

    Final Fantasy VII

  • Nice update! Thanks for the ps1 games. Buying R-TYPE and would like to see EINHANDER too.

  • SPYRO!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

  • Thank you for listening. Great job on releasing PSone games. Please keep it up the PSone has a big library of great games. Thanks again.

  • BOMBERMAN ULTRA VAPORWARE! THANKS!!!

  • PS1 CLASSIX OMFG

  • Why exactly is this post always so late in the day?

Seriously, the first piece of news I wake up to on Thursdays should be the update of the PSN Store.

It’s bad enough that you wait until the end of the week, but then you make people wait until the end of the DAY, too.

Get it together, guys. If someone has to stay at work all Wednesday night to get things ready, then so be it, but at 7am Thursday morning this post should be at the top of my RSS reader.

  • Not much loving in this update for PSP owners, and of course the weekly insult with themes that cost money.

Hope to see something of interest next week, how about some of those Playstation games we keep hearing about?

  • Thanks for the update! DLing the FTB3 video now! I am so going to buy this game day one! (that is after I buy some PhysX games for my PC! Nvidia rocks!)

  • Much Better! Keep the PS1 games a comin’ Sony. I too now expect 3 a week. FFVII anyone? $20 is a little steep for Patapon2 seeing as how it’s d/l only. Still gonna buy it though. ;)

  • I’m really happy to see some PS1 games arriving in the store. Really. However, I would really like to know who picks what game gets to go up.

Bowling? Seriously? When you have a huge PS1 library containing the likes of Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Grandia.. I could go on but it’s pointless.

Fire whoever is in charge of choosing the PS1 games, then get someone with a pulse, who likes good games, and just let them choose.

  • Nice update, but I want Zen Pinball!

  • Wow what an amazing update! Hopefully we get FINAL FANTASY VII on the PSN store, and all those classic PSone games that japan have like RESIDENT EVIL and METAL GEAR SOLID.

Anyhow, I have a question, why does MICROSOFT offer orignal XBOX titles via Xbox live? Why doesnt sony do the same by release PLAYSTATION 2 titles via PSN?

That would be amazing, and so much money would be made..

  • I guess I need to start browsing the PS3 section to find what was worthwhile for my PSP this week since you don’t give PSP owners the courtesy of listing the games in that section as well.

  • The update looks awesome

  • Maybe a separate post for all content for PSP would work, but as there is just so little content every week maybe you would seriously think about including Playstation games in the PSP section? Doesn’t have to only be in there to make me happy, just adding them there would be awesome.

  • Can we get the Red Dead Redemption trailer next week ?

Damn, I don’t understand why you guys can’t have more trailers in 1080p awesomeness. BF 1943 got a trailer a few months ago and it was only last week that it came to the store. Now, it already has another trailer and I wonder when it will be on the store.

Same goes with Call of Juarez:BIB and many other upcoming games. Hell, you guys don’t even other to put up all the trailers for the first-party games as soon as they hit gaming websites, or even if it’s released to the interwebs on Friday, next Thursday should be enough time for it to make it to the PSN store ?

Do you have an answer as to why this delay is caused ?

  • *bother*

sorry for the second post, but I meant ‘bother’ rather than ‘other’…in my previous comment.

  • loll at street fighter pack for 12.49$ who do capcom think we are…

  • I second Einhander!

Plus Sega should take advantage of DLC and make all the classic Saturn shmups available. That would be sweeeeeet.

  • You know if you buy all the Disgaea episodes solo it’s a few cents cheaper than getting it as a set. Kinda funny.

  • THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE PS1 CLASSICS!
    Seriously, keep em coming. :D

That’s my only annoyance with the PS Store, we need more PS1 games.

  • ton of stuff this week. I have been thinking about getting the savage moon game. downlaoding the demo now so maybe it will push me to get it.

  • @18
SAME I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ONE FOR SOO LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Odd, I thought there was a demo for Savage Moon. I just bought it when it came out so i guess i didn’t notice there wasn’t a demo.

If you like tower defense games (with a twist of Starship Troopers LOL) I strongly urge you to buy this game. very underrated and under promoted.

also dont expect it to be really easy… it gets harder and harder each stage you get to.

I forget who the developer is but they did an amazing job with this game. i hope there will be dlc or a sequel.

  • It is nice to see some PSone games. Now how about Metal Gear Solid, or perhaps emulate PS2 games.

  • Why don’t we have Silent Hill ps1 yet?
