  • While this is a decent update to the store, where are the new songs for the SingStore? Europe gets all these great songs and new release songs added to their store and we get nothing. Hasn’t the popularity of iTunes shown that people love downloading anything with music on it. Just my $0.02.

P.S. I would be happy if you took the songs from the PS2 discs and made them for purchase on the store. SingStar PS3 is my first and I’m in love with it but I’m running out of songs to download that I like to sing. Thanks! Here’s hoping for something at E3!

  • No PSone games or Puzzle Quest for the Australian Store. Dissappointing. Please Grace, Sony, please don’t tell me that Australia is going to miss out on a deluge of classic content.

  • Man, Capcom loves DLC! 128kb, $12.49…for costumes? Is that locked on the disc somewhere? Honestly, I bought Versus for RE5 for the trophies. But costumes? No thanks.

When is Sony planning on thinking that the PS2 has some classics? You guys are smart. Emulation is easy, just make the most popular games compatible.

  • What happened to the Wolverine Demo? I set it to download but now it is no longer in the store. It is currently still pending, but is there something wrong with it for you to take it down?

  • @Korlithie – You say there is no psp love, or ps1 games, are you blind? There is Patapon2, Pursuit Force and 3 new ps1 games on the update… Did you look at the blog post? Thats plenty of psp love for this week.

To the people complaining about patapon 2 price, its’ $20 its cheap! Double the content of the original better rpg elements at half the price already the original was and still is $40… You are getting a bargian, just becasue the umd cost .20 to make does not mean they need to take $5 off the game…developers need money and Sony too, stop being cheap and buy the games. Galatrix has over 100hours of play another one you guys complain on price, it’s worth it. This isn’t the rip-off rrod machine, most games are priced accordinlgy and we even get some for $5.00 .. This update was fantastic and people still complain, its sickening.

Oh and thank you Sony for making a good update. Siren, Galatrix, Disgaea3 dlc chapter paks, and patapon 2 sold!

  • Everyone keep your expectations in check when it comes to more PSone games.

Back in December we got 3 PSone games in a 5 day streach(two on Dec 18th and one on Dec 23rd), Then nothing for 4 and a half months(todays update).

Sony hasn’t shown us anything yet to prove they have changed.

  • Wow people are relly pleased here on the blog,
    keep the great work guys!!

  • Nice update!

Does anyone know if Sony will start adding PS2 games into the store? Cause that would be great, and it would boost up ps3 sales by quite alot. You guys have so much potential to beat Microsoft, its amazing. :)

  • @112
I agree! I WANT Legend of Dragoon to! God, that game was beastly on the ps1. I would even pay $40 for it on PSN, it was really fun. Alas, I lost two of my CD’s. :(

But a digital copy would be just as good.

  • I didn’t see the SFIV costume pack on the store

  • Where are the two demos that you guys have listed in the update? They’re definitely not in the store, so I’m not sure why they were listed as a part of the update.

  • VehicleDestroyr

Awesome update guys, I love that you finaly added Spyro 2 to the store. That was my all time favorite PS1 game.

  • Sony, do you have any plans on releasing PS2 games on the PSN??

  • daym nice update

  • @150 Because the remake is coming out. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories likely caused the removal of Silent Hill 1 on the EU PSN store, as well.

  • What sort of crap PSOne titles are these? Give me a damn break!!!

Where’s Resident Evil? Silent Hill? Parasite Eve? Metal Gear Solid? There are literally hundreds upon hundreds of titles that people would like to see FAR greater than any of the garbage we’ve been given thus far.

    FAIL!

  • Parasite eve would be awesome. Parts 1 & 2

  • US have spyro 1 and 2 now?!

when are you adding these to the EU store?
i’m desperate to play them again

oh and why do we have to pay twice as much for patapon 2? :/

  • Great update and finally glad to see PS1 Games make a comeback after a 5 month hiatus. Continue the great work and get more more PS1 Games throughout the year. I love to see Spyro 3 come to PSN since I never played it and will be downloading Spyro 2 since I never played it either.

  • Thank you Grace! This is a good example of bringing the right content to both PS3 & PSP. I honestly think Sony is doing a good job giving us PSOne games it’s just others like EA, Sega and others need to come through with the classics for PSP. It’s good to know Capcom will be releasing more PSOne games soon. Good update for PS3 also I’m glad to see more Playstation Network games and more Trophy support. Grace please talk to Sony about making Trophy Support for PSP games.

    Thanks again!

  • What happened to the Wolverine demo to make it get pulled? I already downloaded it, but I want to be sure my PS3 won’t explode if I launch it.

  • Grace any chance we can get one of my favorite PSOne games called Pepsi Man. Some would think I’m joking but this is really a game starring Pepsi Man.

  • Well, I *was* planning on getting Patapon 2, but now I’m going to have to get me one of those $20 PlayStation cards for R-Type Delta and certain virtual items on Home. (Bring back the Santa gear, BTW! I have an incomplete set and it’s driving me nuts!)

  • Update the avatars.

  • Is Bomberman Ultra coming at all? It was supposed to be this winter, then Spring fever. Where is Bomberman?

  • Omg PS1 games!? I rate this update/blogpost 5 out of 5

  • None of those PSone games really do it for me. But it’s encouraging to see the feature getting support. (who greenlighted “Bowling”, seriously?)

  • I am not sure if I am the only one experiencing this but, I cannot find, or should I say, the SF4 alternate costume pack is not there at all for me when i log into the psn store. I even tried going directly to the add-on section for SF4, but only see the 5 individual packs, not the costume pack released today. I have two of the packs already. But an interesting thing that I found out is that when I logged on to another account on my PS3, I see the costume pack!!?? I don’t really want to use a sub account to buy DLC. Anyone knows whats wrong?

  • ever since todays psn store update i’ve been getting dsn error messages bacc to bacc. saying i can’t connect to the browser. what’s going on?

  • @65

Believe it or not, some people play old and new games… AT THE SAME TIME. What a concept. Try it yourself, walk and chew gum in the morning without falling down and cracking your skull open, it may just work this time!

  • Any word yet about new downloadable tracks for Wipeout HD? Could go for some Wipeout XL tracks right about now.

  • is the dsn error thing only happening to me? this succ? someone please help.

  • Oh, but I will buy Siren as well though. I got Burnout the other night, and I want to support full game releases on the PSN, and have heard nothing but good things about the game in survival horror circles. Ten dollars off is too much to resist.

  • my bad people i meant to say DNS.lol.

Regarding the DISGAEA 3 content posted today…

Why do the Bundle Packs COST MORE to purchase than buying the individual items separately (even though the difference is but a few pennies)?

On a side note, when I originally purchased DISGAEA 3, I certainly wasn’t expecting there to be such a tremendous amount of DLC — or the fact that NISA expects gamers to pay 2-3 times the purchase price of the original game to obtain it. It wouldn’t be too bad if the DLC wasn’t quite so over-priced… or if the content was REALLY more directly related to the D3 storyline/gameplay.

  • Awesome Update!!! Now we just gotta wait for Final Fantasy VII to appear, then I’ll be truly satisfied. :)

  • Ok. On second thought, I just watched some vids and read an old review, and it seems R Type Delta is a great game. Gamespot had the audacity to call it THE shooter to own on PSone. Considering it’s on the same system as Einhander (please get Einhander on our store, please, please, please, please) that’s high praise. Will buy.

  • PSone Classics – PS3 / PSP

Please bring Final Fantasy 7 over from the Japanese store.

  • @VHawj
By default, combo packs that contain something you’ve already purchased usually become unavailable to keep you from re-paying for something you already own. Since you have two costume packs already, the Store will not offer you the combo pack. This is why I hate when they offer combo’s long after dlc is released.

  • Can’t download the costume pack for PS3, already downloaded the brawler pack that comes with the limited edition.

    Anyone having this problem?

    Thanks for the help

  • Puzzle Quest Galactrix is $20? The original Puzzle Quest WITH add-on was only $15 — on 360. without the add-on it was only $10. And from what I hear, this version isn’t half as good as Challenge of the Warlords. So why the price hike? And no demo to boot!? Not a snowball’s chance in hell that I’ll download that, sorry.

Nice to see Allman Brothers Band getting some Rock Band love, though. Also nice to see more PS1 titles on there, even if they don’t seem to be the sort of games I’d be interested in.

  • when is sony going to put out an accessory(s) that lets you burn your PS1 & PSP games to your PS3? I would very much like to rip them (seeing as how I already own them) onto my harddrive for an easier on the go experience. I know for 100% this is possible and would love to see it done (just code them when they are being ripped so you can only move the file around so many times like when you dl something from the store, then no one can complain about stealing anything). please please please announce this at this or next years e3 thank you!

  • great update , i know its not part of the update but im really loving the inFAMOUS demo , really good!!!!, i bought the siren game , downloaded infamous trailer and pulse ( which by the way its getting better and better , seems to me that this time you guys put a lot more content than before ) really glad to see the show getting more content . hope you guys dont stop adding stuff because i really like the show , inFAMOUS demo is really great !!!!

  • R-Type Delta FTW!!!!!! More PSN goodness please. There were a lot of PS1 games I’ve wanted to get at that time but could never afford too and the prices on them on Ebay is outrageous. I would gladly pay for PSN versions!

  • Thanks for moving the demos up, now I don’t have to click ‘continue’ to see them.

It may be small and trivial to some, but it works well for me.

  • when is (or was) the fat princess beta? i want to hear more about that game

  • I dont know about you guys, but I’d love to see Sony or whoever was responsible do a complete update/refresh of Bushido Blade!!…that game would ROCK redone with new controls/graphics etc…

  • Im dying to know if savage moon is REALLY any good.

  • Now THATS what I’m talkin’ about.
Finally some PS1 classics in 2009.
I can’t wait for the Capcom ones.
    THANK YOU SONY.
This is what I call fan service.

  • @198

It’s a brutally difficult player punishing mess. I like a challenge, but Savage Moon is downright cheap and frustrating.
