Hey everyone, starting today you can download the exclusive “Chamber” apartment for free in PlayStation Home. Nope, that’s not a misprint. This interactive space comes complete with fire pits, waterfalls and a giant tree that’s more alive than you might expect. But make sure to come into Home and download your apartment now, because after May 21st, this premium personal apartment disappears from the housing market forever.

One last thing before we go. We’ve created a new video for Home and we’d love for you to check it out and let us know what you think. We hope you like it!

    Does anybody knows if this is live now? Because I’m flying out of town and I wont be back before it becomes paid DLC.

      Eek! You might want to find a way to log in before then. This apartment will not become paid DLC. Its free for this week and then its gone forever.

    It is crazy that they charge for clothes and furniture e.t.c… Probably only a matter of time before sony will be charging us to play online just like microsoft. Well the day they do, will be the day I throw my ps3 into the bin.

    That’s very cool news – great job!

    I want to know if that horrible “Chain Swing” song will ever be removed from the Listen area… and also, when will we be able to display all of our trophies in our apartments? =) New apartment spaces are available, but it would be excellent to be able to really deck out the places we already have!

    Did SONY force you to purchase ANYTHING to participate in HOME? They didn’t force me to buy anything. I think you may have an issue with your PS3 if it is telling you that you MUST buy clothes and furniture.

    I just visited my new apartment. “Fire and Water”, very cool. And the moving head, awsome.
    I have a friend who just sent his playstation in for repairs. Any chance he can get this apartment if he pays for it?

    It’s a good job you didn’t use the European version of Home to make the video, as there’d have been nothing to feature in it. Half of those spaces aren’t available in Europe. Once again, a prime example of how little care and attention has been paid to the Euro market.

    I’d really love to get a good, honest, reasonable explanation as to why the Euro version of Home is so empty. I’m willing to bet good money that no one can offer one.

    If I were in charge around here, I’d just shut Home down and stop pouring money into it. It’s a complete waste of time and effort on Sony’s part.

    Cool… I had no idea how cool home has become. I was one of the early beta testers and ive been riding along through all the updates but never until I had seen this video of home in its entirty did i realize how cool it is. Thanks. :)

    I don’t use Home much but anytime the words “free” and “limited time” go together I just have to snatch it up. It’s a bit of a cumpolsion.

    Okay, going to have to log in and redownload everything just to get that homespace. Very nicely done based on the screenshots.

    Vid was okay, bit long. Probably should show videos like that in movie theaters in the usual pre-movie advertisement that starts ~30 minutes before the previews.

    great video , this should be a tv ad , now give me my motorstorm , resistance , ratchet , little big planet , killzone , socom , gran turismo , heavenly sword , god of war home game spaces with in game support lol , im not complaining dont get me wrong i just happen to buy playstation exclusives and one or two long time series like call of duty , gta and prince of persia

    Freaking…AWESOME! I love trees that may or may not be alive! The video and the song go very well together (nice find!), but:

    while I find the transitions between real life and Home life to be interesting, I don’t really think it brings anything to the table. If this is going to be made into a commercial, I’d think of cutting down on those and playing up the aspects such as the presence of games like Street Fighter, Warhawk and such within Home. Maybe a costume commercial! (A dance-off between the Helghast and the Street Fighters? ) :D

    Love the new space. I’ve never noticed just how great the HOME HDRI lighting engine is. Love the interactive touches in the space and the pixies in the tree… Very cool. I can’t wait to have my pet dragon flying around in there ;^) Keep it up with the whimsical spaces.
