  • AssassinHD lol ur a joke!!!

u dont have a single trophy for RDKF…

dont try to lie that u bought the game…

hence ur points r not valid

  • An amazing update. I appreciate the partnerships for this very reason. Its great on the part of sprint to do such advertisement.

I can’t wait to play Ragdoll Kung Fu. For those who paid, you should realize you played a premium price to have the game right away. Think about everyone who wanted to play Metal Gear and waited for it to be used, I bought it day one, and I’m not pissed people bought it for half the price I did. I was waiting for the price of Ragdoll to drop, I just lucked out that Sprint bought it for me.

    Thanks again . . .

  • @ 447 AssassinHD:

You act like it’s Sprint’s fault…well to clarify, they’re actually both to blame.

Sprint is available in Canada as well, if you didn’t know.
Hmmm…and why would Sony ever agree to allow their loyal customers to feel alienated I wonder?
    Oh, I know…money!

Sony should have simply explained that it wouldn’t be fair to include one nation only, especially when they both (Sony & Sprint) provide services to many.

This action is basically a slap in the face to all of us that spend countless dollars on products from a company that places finance above fairness.
It proves that they truly don’t care about us individually as they claim. They care about us as the whole…actually more accurately as a whole in dollar value.
After all they are a business, however; it would be nice if we weren’t separated like clicks in a high school…categorized by level of importance.

  • If they both (Sony & Sprint) had taken a hit to provide to all, the money would be returned with future purchases made by a consumer base filled with a new sense of faith.
Not only would customers be grateful, but they would consume more than ever before.
    Instead they chose discrimination.
I believe the latter comes with greater consequences…a decision that may prove to be a major error in judgment if not corrected soon.

I bet many people right now are less loyal as a result of this discrimination, and there for more prone to less future purchases or might even be considering the competitor’s products.

Now how is that good business practice?

  • Excellent update, though I’m still having trouble wrapping my head around the “Free” part… I’m really having trouble following the logic here, marketing/financial-wise… Still, I won’t say ‘no’ to free stuff. This week’s definitely one of the best I’ve had in a long time- free Chamber apartment, free Rag Doll fighting… Thank you! :D

  • Who’d of thought people would complain about a free game? Humanity never ceases to amaze.

  • So, in conclusion, as DJnal05 says @ 451…you’re a joke!!!
You must reside in the U. S.
If you didn’t, I don’t believe you would be this unsympathetic.
If this issue affected you, the whining would no doubt be much more extensive.

  • kudos for Stri

  • @ 456

    woow!! big words

    did u pay 9.99??

  • I’m having a blast with Rag Doll Kung Fu, can’t understand why I didn’t buy that game sooner. Its beautiful and totally wacky. Glad I’m able to play Zen Pinball now, still missing from the Euro store :-(

  • SPYRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a free download of RD:KF!!! WooHoo!!!!

  • You guys need to have a way to purchase but not download, items for the PS3 through the Media Manager or some other way to access the store incase you are away and don’t have access to your PS3 and don’t miss out on timed items for the week.

    Thanks! :)

  • @ AssassinHD

No… most of my friends gave up on games when they turned 30… the rest are XBox fans (or worse). I’ll have to suffer until they return my system, then cough up the cash.

  • No answers for the loyal customers. Whatever.

  • umm honestly this is a great update. but seriously who’s gonna buy pursuit force for $23 bucks when they both sell for $15.99 and $16.99 respectively. in a smaller market where the games are harder to find it makes sense but i live in new york no way am i gonna buy a digital when i can but the physical form which is cheaper and i can resell later (extra value/savings) otherwise honestly great update and send a big thank u to sprint. i’m actually a sprint customer to boot.

  • we need Final Fantasy VII !!!!!

  • @stithriot

Seconded. The PC access to the store is basically useless. Can’t purchase, can’t download. Can’t navigate it efficiently.

Even if you can’t download the games and add-ons, you should at least be able to purchase them.

@ Sony & Sprint… what’s up with no love for Canada? We spend good money up here… sometimes way more than US, thanks to the exchange rate… Why don’t we get the freebies?

  • @451

Where do I start? First, I never claimed to have purchased this game in particular. Just to be clear, I downloaded it for free yesterday. I stated that I have been in this situation before, namely with High Velocity Bowling (I gave my Qore code to a friend because I had already purchased it), and Syphon Filter (same). It is nice to know I had such an impact on you that you took the time to look up my stats. Your logical process has a flaw in it though. I have several games that I have purchased, downloaded, and installed, and simply have not played yet. Next time you should try providing valid counterpoints to my arguments.

  • @462

That is an excellent idea. I hope your post catches the attention of the PSN staff.

  • @466 Ford2021:

Yes we need Final Fantasy 7, but I wish they would do a remake…no changes, except to include Next Gen Graphics.

    Now that would be excellent!

  • @454

Companies run sales, and promotions as the case may be (some of which include free products, though usually with the purchase of other products) all the time. This is no different. If you buy a product from Best Buy for instance, and then a month later that product is half price, or includes free installation, or free accessories for a limited time, would you feel cheated?

  • really to all the people complaining not getting the free game. Just create an american psn account, download the game, then switch back to your whatever region account. Its so easy to create another account. sheesh always somebody has to complain

  • @ 468 (dont get me wrong)

but i still dont see ur point… u lost money in the same way…
u gotta be “uber rich” xD…

ok… what if u had bought Zanball last night and it becomes free in 3 weeks now… how would u react??

At this point, i dont care if i get my 9.99 back… but sony should rethink before being so ignorant toward their loyal customer…

  • @457

I have been affected by a myriad of issues on the PSN. You will not find many, if any, examples of me complaining. Instead of getting worked up over HVB and Syphon Filter, I just gave the codes away as gifts. Instead of getting worked up over SOCOM: Confrontation at launch, I just patiently waited for the patches. Instead of getting worked up over Warhawk’s launch, I patiently waited for the patches. Home launch? Patiently waited for the fixes. Lack of XMB messaging at PS3 launch? Patiently waited. Having to replay games I had beated 4 times after FW 2.4 was released? Played them again.

  • @468

If I had purchased RDKF at 5pm Eastern Standard Time yesterday afternoon (before the store update), I would not be complaining about it. I would just chalk it up as an unlucky moment, and move on.

  • Finally a good update. Free game, free content (Daxter for Pain), PS1 games and a demo. Every week should be like this (well, realistically not a free game every week but the rest of the stuff).

  • @475

    ur a true fanboy!! n i salute u!!

  • @477

Translation: I am mature, and have a firm grasp on reality.

  • @ 478

    hmm we all see that!!

  • @479

Here is a scenario: You buy some grilled chicked from KFC the day before Oprah does her thing. The website is so overloaded with people trying to get their free chicken coupons that you can’t access it to get yours. Do you demand a refund for the chicken you ate?

  • @ 471 AssassinHD:

What the hell are you talking about dude?

How does Best Buy have anything to do with the issue at hand according to what was said?

First, I didn’t purchase Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic previously…I never said I did. Second, I simply feel it’s unfair to include some and not others, seeing as how the promotion IS still active.

And to answer your question…if Best Buy has a sale one month post product purchase…I would be annoyed, and would get the discount.
All I would need to do is revisit the store with the purchase receipt to receive my discount.
This applies to many retailers across the globe, especially the larger ones like Best Buy. There is almost always a grace period (tested and proven).

It’s not my fault you are unaware of this. So please get your facts straight prior to using them as the basis for your examples.
I hear Google is really good for learning…clearly you should check it out often before placing inane comments on record.

  • @ 480

    rofl…. u can replay games… right??

do u re eat ur kfc pooping??

lol the dude say “Translation: I am mature, and have a firm grasp on reality.”

  • yet again kudos for stri

  • @481

Best Buy only price matches itself during it’s return policy. I intentionally used a month as an example because their return policy is only 30 days (with some exceptions where lesser return policies are present). Speaking of Google, I am sure you would benefit greatly from searching “how to argue effectively”. Insults and personal attacks have no place in mature conversation. If you go back and read my post again you will see that I never implied you had purchased it previously. What was it you were saying about learning?

  • Great that is a good reason for me to never buy another game when its first released.
I paid full price and I got 100% trophies and now I feel cheated…

why not give away pixeljunk eden or novastrike or how about burn zombie burn? those games are utterly terrible and probably the worst of the worst….im a sucker though and I payed good money for those games and they arent worth the hardrive space they occupy…thats not a mistake I will soon make again though..be sure of that… 4 bad $10 games and im done…

free echochrome? please at least do me that favor…most people think its lame anyway so might as well give it away…its not worth $10 I can tell you that…

also worms should be free..might have trouble giving it away though…lol

    age of booty also free…terrible…

and oh my god…FLOCK…double free! so free that sony also gives you a dollar with your download…then it might get a sale….LOL

  • Thanks, but the other half of the comment is awaiting moderation lmao…

  • @485 (i agree)

we pay to get trophies…. and others dont

    thats unethical…

  • @482

I knew you would respond in that manner. I used a consumable product as an example intentionally to draw a parallel to a reusable product like RDKF. You still have not answered my question by the way.

  • @ 488

    what question??

hmmm i dont see anything in parallel in kfc and rdkf

    nor in oprah n sprint/psn

  • Thank You Sony!!
PLEASE RELEASE FFVII AND SPIDERMAN AND SPIDERMAN 2 ON PSN!!!

  • @ 485 AssassinHD:
Regarding – If you go back and read my post again you will see that I never implied you had purchased it previously.

In your post @ 471 you say:
“If you buy a product from Best Buy for instance, and then a month later that product is half price, or includes free installation, or free accessories for a limited time, would you feel cheated?”

That in itself implies that I must have made the purchase previously.
If you didn’t feel that way, then why use that analogy?
I wasn’t asking for something after I’ve acquired it. I was asking for equal treatment prior to any purchases.
For example…seeing as how you apparently like them…
What if I were to bring you and your mother to Best Buy, and only treat her to a toy and not you. Wouldn’t you feel cheated if I had previously said that you are equal to her?
Maybe she did something to make me like her more than you. That raises another question; (actually several) what have you done for Sony that makes you so special?

  • And to clear things up…I don’t attack for nothing. I only say these things because you clearly get a rise out of insulting everyone else. It’s only fitting that things come full circle, yes?
If you meant something else, then like I said…learn to Use the English language and Google to avoid future confusion when attempting to convey a point.
    I’m just saying.

  • Sprint is paying for the RDKF. Oprah paid for the chicken. With RDKF you paid the $10 for a product that can be reused as many times as you want (I am sure you have had $10 worth of use out of it by now) and you continue to have access to the content, regardless of whether or not someone else gets the content for a reduced price or free. With the chicken, you eat it, and it is gone, yet I have not heard of anyone demanding a refund of their pre-promotion chicken purchases so far.

  • when will an update come out that will allow use of the siriusxm online player? being a siriusxm subscriber i think it should, and even have a direct link to the player for easyer access. and it maybe an even longer shot but allow the player to play in the back-ground for a custom like sound track. bubba the love sponge and howard stern while playing gta4=WIN and that would be better then any downloadable content that xbox could pay for.

  • Why don’t we have a right to be pissed about a game turning free after a month? Sounds like someone’s working for Sony..

It’s not fair AT ALL and Sony couldn’t give a **** about what we think. If they cared about their customers and want future business they would do something, but Sony’s a large company so I expect nothing to be done. But whatever, I’ll just be more hesitant about any future purchases.

  • Amen OldKai…amen to that!

  • i downloaded the game for free and havent even played it yet. im just wishing that other companies will buy us a game or two. but i still want that update for the siriusxm player

  • @495

For the record I do not have any affiliation with Sony, or any other corporation.

  • @491

All you had to do was answer the question. Would you feel cheated? If not then why do you feel it is ok for others to feel cheated? If yes then my argument applies to you anyway. Speaking of the English language, no I did not imply that you had purchased the game. Again, I did not make personal attacks against you specifically, so why do you feel the need to bring the circle around anyway?

Disclaimer: Whether you feel the need to come full circle on me or not is irrelevant. I am unaffected by your opinion.
