Oh snap! A free game? Wasn’t expecting that one. Thanks.

Good update by the way.

wow Kung fu for free. You guys rock (keep in mind this is a one week thing, I will be back to complaining next week) You need to offer sales more often. Bionic is work $10 for $5 it’s a steal!

I guess sony pulled an apple; release a product then cut the price. Remember that one?… Thanks sony! you just tarnished my opinion of you. Btw bought Rag doll kung fu May 4…. Thanks again. :( Im gunna download on my Wii now. Nintendo is more honest.

…I bought Ragdoll day one… Guess for now on I’ll wait to purchase games. I mean, nothing against anyone, but it seems like whenever I buy a game, they give it away later anyway.

Not cool for those of us who bought ragdoll!

@49 you are very right. You never know if anything like this will ever happen.

+ Dardantuan on May 14th, 2009 at 2:01 pm said:

Nice update, can’t wait to play the new Pain stuff. That is awesome that Rag Doll is free… However, now I feel like even more of a chump. I bought the game when it came out, and HATED it. It gave me the biggest feeling of buyers remorse I have ever gotten from the PSN (why couldn’t there have been a demo!) and now the sting is back, since I could have waited and got it for free. Oh, well.

+ glody on May 14th, 2009 at 2:01 pm said:

If you guys are going to pull this free business, I’d like sprint/sony/someone to refund my money on the game when I originally purchased it….or at least a credit for the same amount to put towards something else on the PSN……..rather po’d at the moment……

+ TheGuardianFID on May 14th, 2009 at 2:02 pm said:

Niiiiice, I was gonna pickup Ragdoll but just hadn’t done it yet and now I got it for free, sweet, plus Zen pinball which I was waiting for along with the MS:PR DLC, great update, thank you Sony and Sprint, great job guys!!! :D

61

+ Ryverstyx on May 14th, 2009 at 2:02 pm said:

Damn. Figures one of the few games I purchase is later given for free.

Ah, well. It was cheap to begin with, and it’s like complaining that they lowered the price of Bionic Commando $5. If it only cost $4.99 to begin with, it would be free now too.

Still. Giving us $5 in our account would be nice of them… Charge it to Sprint.

62

+ MonteMax on May 14th, 2009 at 2:02 pm said:

Thanks for the free game, and although I do feel sorry for those who may have recently purchased the game, you have to be realistic, why should you get a refund, I’ve purchased countless games on the store to later see them receive price drops, and although it irks me that’s the price of being an early adopter

63

+ BreadSkin on May 14th, 2009 at 2:02 pm said:

Is the free Rag Doll Kung Fu also available for people in Canada? I’m assuming it is seeing as how US means North America on the PSN.

woot!! free game!! gotta love that!!

thank you to Sprint for the free game!!

we need more offers like this. good update this week. you got a little of everything up there.

+ KnaveX on May 14th, 2009 at 2:03 pm said:

thats really cool of u guys to make this awesome game free so more people can play it. But like the others I must stress, that I bought it, supported the devs since I followed their hard work through gametrailers, went out to gamestop to buy a PSN card and got in on hour ONE, so I cant help but feel its a bit unfair that a bunch of other guys get their hands on it, sure its great for them, but some of em didnt give a hoot.

Wow you guys seem to complain a bit here about the free game. I bought High Velocity Bowling a while ago and now its free to Qore subscribers. I am not mad about it.

+ TheManda on May 14th, 2009 at 2:04 pm said:

Great update! Thank you Sprint for Rag Doll (I was hesitant to buy it because of the lack of multiplayer), and thank you Sony for more PSX originals! And while they aren’t the titles I personally am awaiting, this recent increase certainly does a lot to improve my hope of getting some other classics on here (ex: GTA I and II, RPGs, RPGs, RPGs, Persona 1 and 2 (both)…). Keep up the fantastic work!

69

+ RodSquad1167 on May 14th, 2009 at 2:04 pm said:

Sure didn’t take very long for the whining to begin.

They do something nice, and people just complain. If I were Sony, I sure wouldn’t go out of my way to offer any free games again. You people will just find something to b**ch about then too.

70

+ rgoff31 on May 14th, 2009 at 2:04 pm said:

That is cool about the Sprint thing, but it’s too bad they didn’t choose something that was coming soon instead of something that has been out for awhile that people have already purchased.

Another GREAT update! Man, Sony is really heading strong into E3.

-FREE Rag Doll – (a Kung-Fu chop to those who bought it though)
-Bionic Commando on sale – (no trophy patch still, and with the discount it will never happen. ho-hum)
-Continuing with the PS1 promise
-FREE Motorstorm DLC
-PSN game WITH demo

Very solid update. You guys are making it very hard for the complainers to cry about a FREE service….but I hear the whines already.

Keep. it. up.

74

+ FoolKiller79 on May 14th, 2009 at 2:05 pm said:

There is never anything wrong with free.

And for those who already bought it and are upset: Ever buy a game on disc a year after it launched for $20-$30, or even found someone giving something away in a promotion?

Same thing. It isn’t permanently free, it is just a promotion. If you have issue with when it was done go talk to Sprint, but I can guarantee you they waited this long on purpose.

75

+ KnaveX on May 14th, 2009 at 2:05 pm said:

@MOnteMax

Cause apple did it at a bigger scale than this… lol jk. But this is no price drop, its frikin demo priced!

76

+ SoYoung on May 14th, 2009 at 2:05 pm said:

#49 no its not the same. I pay ragdoll 10$ like 2-3 weeks ago, the game is like 1 month old and they give it for free, not a discount, for free.

I feel cheated, realy cheated. And yes they dont encourage me to buy other game on the PSN if they’ll do such things…

77

+ rysamson on May 14th, 2009 at 2:06 pm said:

of course, even with a good update like this, people have something to gripe about. But i don’t blame the people who purchased Rag Doll Kung Fu early on; no one knew Sprint would offer it for free.

Anyway, I’m downloading the game plus the Demo. Dang.. all this free stuff (including the Home apartment and free hats) makes me a happy PS3 owner ^_^

For all the people who keep complaining about RDKF being free, quit crying about it. Just because you spent your cash already doesn’t mean Sony if f’ing you over. Hell, i bought Bionic Commando and Siren when they came out FULL PRICE, but now they’re discounted. Oh well, that just means to wait a few weeks- a month BEFORE you buy, just in case of something like this unless you want it DAY ONE. Plus, its A)A deal with Sprint, and B)For a LIMITED TIME. Get over it

Great update. I was shocked to see a free game in the store. I’m sure those that already picked up Rag Doll thought the game was worth the money prior to buying it, I picked up Zen pinball and Texas Cheat’em this week thinking exactly that.

@KnaveX, I don’t purchase too much stuff from the Apple Store, so please clue me into what you and others are referring to. What I am saying is that the majority of the games I’ve bought from the store (Bionic Commando, Flow, Echocrome, Calling All Cars, Pain, SSHD, and Everyday Shooter have seen some sort of promo or price drop after I bought them) So I fell like in a since I’m now rewarded by receiving a free game, and more trophies to add to my collection

Freaking SCEE, they’ve removed Zen Pinball from the European store for no reason, so America you’re getting my money. I was able to download the demo before I was even able to buy the game and was very much impressed. I’m getting Zen Pinball from the US Store. I’m really getting sick and tired of SCEE being so damn lazy. They’ve released Bejeweled 2 just now while I already downloaded the game from you store months ago. That’s not normal! We haven’t seen PS games for months! Will download Rag Doll Kung Fu as well. Hey, its free!
