Those are stupid comments about it being worth $10 to play a game early.

I don’t mind paying EXTRA to get a game early, but I do mind paying for a game that will be given away just weeks after it’s release.

It’s a lot different.

I never complain about anything, I buy and buy from the PSN and always support. But this just doesn’t seem fair. I could have bought another game, I didn’t even end up liking it that much, but am always happy to support the smaller PSN titles.

I wouldn’t be mad if the game being given away was something like “Calling All Cars” because that game has been out for a very long time, but it would still be unfair for the few people who might have just bought it.

And it’s not like the game has any sort of single player or online, I really have only played it with friends like 3 times, so it’s not like I’ve been playing it non-stop since it’s release and the $10 are worth the amount of gaming I’ve received.

Whatever.

If there is any DLC for it, none of the early buyers are getting it.

Man, I had this long ass post as to why the whiners are stupid but it was too long or somethin and got deleted.

But anyways, why is everyone demanding a refund from Sony? This is Sprint’s promotion, not Sony’s. If you guys have a problem with the promotion, go yell at Sprint.

Great news on Rag Doll I’ll get it as soon as I get out of work.

To those who bought the game already I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me with Burnout Paradise it got a discount just 5 days after I bought it. Wrote to sony. They said thet won’t refund and are not responsible for price discounts.

Devs… now it would be a GREAT time for a multiplayer patch!

I am really starting to dislike these PSN store updates. Just about every free game is one that I already own. There should be a free game for people who have already purchased Rag Doll Kung Fu. It’s almost like I should wait 6 months before buying anything.

Ah… well at least you did say the “U.S.” store this time… though you might have bolded it for us Canadians. Consistently you don’t bother differentiating the “U.S. store” and “Canadian” store and I guess I should have noticed the one time you did this!

… maybe continue the trend and mention the “U.S.” Playstation store TV/video content updates and all the other U.S. only goodies.

Oh well… I guess Sprint doesn’t like Canadians any more than Playstation does. :(

The funny thing is that if this was a game these whiners had not paid for before, then the promotion would be great.

So in order for these types of promotions to be great, companies can only offer games that these whiners haven’t bought yet.

228

+ FabiHurtz83 on May 14th, 2009 at 3:29 pm said:

@218 – It’s not whining. Whiners are those who NEVER buy anything from the PSN and always complain about lack of demos or some other useless crap.

I’m someone who supports the PSN and just feel cheated. This doesn’t go on in BUSINESS. It has nothing to do with understanding business.

You’re not gonna go to Wal-Mart and buy a TV and then see it being given away for free the next day. Will you see it cheaper? Of course, but not for free.

The thing that gets me is that it’s FOR FREE. Of course people who don’t own it are going to be extremely happy, who wouldn’t?

I have to say Rag Doll is a bit irritating considering I bought it the day it came out for full price. The same thing happens with Qore constantly. It’s a bit of a ‘f you’ to all of us who buy a game right away only to have it turn up free a few weeks later.

As I see it, it seems that you guys would prefer i DONT buy games and simply wait around for my Qore to give it free or whatever other deal comes by.

I could understand if it was a year old title or something but jeez.

/rant

+ FabiHurtz83 on May 14th, 2009 at 3:35 pm said:

You guys don’t understand. It’s not REDUCED. I wouldn’t care about it being reduced price. It’s FREE. And the only reason it’s free is because they want to SELL DLC in the near future which is BS to us who bought it.

It’s only $10 but it’s the principal of the thing. I’m not buying anymore PSN games, I’m gonna wait a few months until they are given away for free or reduced.

Lesson learned. Don’t buy PSN games until they have reached a price cut or are given away in a promo. If at all.

To give away such a recent game is insulting to those that bought it shortly after release. If you were to give a away an older game like Super Stardust HD, then it would be different. You had to know that this would anger everyone that already bought the game.

Why would you go out of your way to anger those who supported you right off the bat?

+ superballa123 on May 14th, 2009 at 3:38 pm said:

What in the heck is Sony doing??? The first PSN title I brought this year was Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic and it just became free!!! Sony I want my $10 back!!! I have been a loyal customer in buying your products but this is bull. I’m not ever going to buy another PSN game If I continue to get ripped off like this. Even Microsoft wouldn’t have done this.

240

+ gettinmoney662 on May 14th, 2009 at 3:40 pm said:

It’s free because it was only $10 to begin with. If the game was $20, I can guarantee you it wouldn’t be free.

I have 21 PSN games and 37 Blu-Ray games. Nice try though, whiner.

But like that other guy said, to make sure you never miss out on a price promotion, don’t ever buy anything until a few years after it’s released. Everyone else will be enjoying the new PSN games while you are sitting there, paranoid about a $10 price cut happening.

241

+ FabiHurtz83 on May 14th, 2009 at 3:41 pm said:

@gator – I know man, and trust me, it’s not the money. It just makes you feel like damn what if it happpens again? Or what if I buy something that’s worth $20-30 and something similar happens.

I hate whining, or coming off as a whiner. And that is something I have never done on here. Like I said, I have always supported the PSN but this just kinda felt unfair.

I work in sales and customer service so I take this kind of stuff a little more seriously because I feel like I myself give great service to all of my customers.

I personally was just having a bad day and got online to get distracted from work for a little and this just irritated me more than it probably should have, but still I think it was too soon and the price (there is none) was too low.

Rag Doll Kung Fu is useless when you have Smash Bros, by the way. But if you don’t, then it’s a good little game.
