  • Thanks for the free game.

This should sooth some of the hurt of Bionic Commando Rearmed having no frickin trophies.

And Sony, will I live to see more PS1 classics come to the European store or should I just give up and hope my grandkids will get see them on Playstaion 9?

  • @FFVIIguy

if everyone was happy with what we where getting then sony would get lazy and slow down and we would get even less stuff then we’er getting now!!

  • Ok i have read alot of comments on here and i have a few points to make
    1. for people that are saying that were whining eventho sonys giving something away for free… well your getting it for free i had to spend 10$ of my hard earned cash on this game and its free the next week

    2. a price drop and giving something away for free is completely different because depreciation OVER TIME happens but nothing ever turns free

and 3. this is a poor way of rewarding the people that contribute to this game and 10$ of store credit means nothing to sony because these are downloads

besides microsoft did this exact same thing with another game and they gave their buyers extra points

  • im not wanting anything for free if anyrthing all games should cost money all i want is for worms HD to arrive in australian ps store after like 2 years after its ex-box release!!

  • i have a new rule that sony has to live by everything released in the US has to be released worldwide at that same second!!!! because its now fair that u get stuff and we never do!! or have to w8 a year or more for it!!!

  • Nice update yet again. Sony is on a path to victory.

  • NOT cool!… I paid for this game >:|
aghh.. but good news that didn’t purchase this…

  • @401… I agree!!

  • @410 – Completely agree. Nice way to put it, I’ve been wasting time all day trying to explain that to the real whiners who are saying that we’re complaining.

  • I wouldn’t be mad at all if it would have been reduced to $5, that would have been a real promotion. This is just a slap in the face to us who bought it.

Now all the real whiners who go out of their way to complain about a demo (because they don’t buy games) will be happy for about a week, and still not buy anything in the future.

  • I wish they had given out a GOOD game instead, but then again beggars can’t be choosers…

  • It is really unfortunate that CA cannot get some of the things the US has…eg access to video downloads, contests and now a free version of Rag Doll Kung Foo

  • Hey Fabi, who do you think is slapping you in the face? Sony or Sprint?

Sprint is the one funding the promotion. Without them, there would be no free game.

  • online play for rag doll kung fu plox.

one of the best games on psn but i would love online!

  • It’s pretty sad that some of you can decide that RDKF is worth $10 and then a few months later be unhappy with your purchase because Sony did something awesome by giving it away free.

Just a little warning to all of you planning to buy Infamous in a few weeks… it will be $30 a year from now. Keep your receipts so you can go into GameStop to yell at them for dropping the price next summer.

  • I was about to buy Rag Doll Kung Fu last friday but I’m glad I didn’t :) Sony, you should keep having these kinds of promotions like this. Plus the PS1 games…keep them coming!

  • Thank you Sprint and Sony!

Every now and then I check the comment section in this blog and no matter what, there is always tons of complaining. Firmware updates? Complaints. Free stuff? Complaints. This is the most complaining comment section on the entire net I swear.

  • Great update; free content is always welcome!

  • the update is cool…thanks for the free game…but how about some ps1 resident evil games

  • The only reason people are complaining is that they paid the full price for this game a month ago… They have a right to voice their displeasure & last time I checked, the PS Blog wasn’t run by communists so don’t shoot ’em down.

I was one of them who bought the game on release & feel slightly played but I’m looking at the bigger picture. If Sony can keep promotions like this going I may be lucky & get a free game in the future because I held off buying it for one reason or another.

Keep up the good work Sony!

  • It never ceases to amaze me that people can be such crybabies. So some of you bought the game a few weeks ago and now it is free? So what? The game must have been worth the purchase at the time, because you bought it. You all have a misguided sense of entitlement. Seriously, grow up. I have bought several games that were later released for free to Qore subscribers (myself included). You don’t hear me complaining. Welcome to reality.

  • Good stuff Sony.

I bought Rag doll kungfu second week, but this gets more ppl to play it. If i paid like 30 bucks maybe i would be annoyed but i never expected to get the money back.

Go download it guys, its a great.

They need to put ONLINE multiplayer, so many ppl would play online now if that was the caase.

  • No!!! I’ve been waiting for a price-drop on Rag Doll Kung Fu, and it has to be free the week my system YLOD’s???

  • Thank you for free Rag Doll Kung Fu game!

I totally forgot about buying this but you’ve made my day with a freebie!

  • @420

Do you have any friends that have a PS3? If so just go over there and login and “buy” it. I have a friend who got hit by the YLoD too and I just logged into his account for him and got Rag Doll and the Chamber Apartment in Home.

  • money back please.. sony has cheated the gamer out of 10 dollar and we deserve a refund world wide!

  • @423

This is exactly what I am talking about. Everyone has to play the victim. Sony did not cheat you out of anything. The product had a price, you paid the price, you got the product. The fact that there is currently a promotion on the product is irrelevant.

  • Also posted @ 417.

AssassinHD stop attacking the people who paid for RDKF.
It doesn’t matter if it was 10 dollars or a thousand. If you buy something new & a few short weeks later it’s free, people have a valid reason to voice their displeasure. Admitted that some people on this thread have gotten a bit carried away with their complaints.

  • AWESOME UPDATE!!!!

  • @425

I am not attacking people who paid for it. I am attacking people who are expecting a refund, or who somehow feel cheated because they paid for it.

They bought the product, the used the product, and they didn’t have any complaints until someone else got the product for less money (or no money as the case may be). That is simple jealousy. Promotions like this are a part of life. Period. It does not make their product any less of an experience for them. They obviously felt the purchase was justified because they made the purchase. The complaints aren’t that the product is not worth the money. The complaints are that they should be reimbursed because someone else out there got a deal. Why should they get a refund anyway since they have been playing the game for weeks while those who are taking advantage of the deal have not?

  • You feel cheated because of 1-week promotion of a 5 week old psn-game?

if you find a game interesting enough, you go and buy it when it comes out.
This promotion mostly attract people, who would not buy the game anyway or were not sure about the price/gameplay.
By buying you support the developers / these kind of games.

also the game is NOT a free game. It just cost no money for a week because of a promotion, it is still a 10$ PSN-Game, before and after that week. Do you think everyone should get it for free after this week, too?
I guess they should develop games for free then. Or is your consequence, games should NEVER get a free promotion, codes etc.? Obviously, if this was a game you DON’T own you would not complain.

I guess when they would have reduced it to 0.10$ or gave away a million Codes for it, it would be ok all the sudden?

I did not hear Qore-subscribers, who already bought High velocity bowling, complaining about the promotion for this game.

I can understand the displeasure though because it’s really an extreme (awesome) promotion.
But you already paid for the game and there could have been no promotion at all and you would not feel this way then. It’s just in your head.

  • More PSone games= GJ SONY! Lack of PSP demos= Sad day for PSP gamers……

Getting better! keep it up! Seems those rumors about SOny working on the PSone games was indeed true! Good work!

  • Ok for the people that are saying its the same thing as quore, well its not
you guys subscribe to quore, pay and expect free stuff so high velocity bowling was technically reduced not free to everyone

and for everyone that says this is a “promotion” true but last time i checked promotions are not given to everyone just X amount of people that happen to get lucky

  • Thank you very much for the free game sprint/sony.

    great update

  • @430

Considering that this promotion only lasts a week I would say that it is indeed given to X number of people who happen to get lucky. Those X amount of people are the people who have access to the PlayStation Store during this week.

  • thats not fair i bought that game, i’m gonna wait a while before buying games on psn. i barely even played the game and now its free lol

  • $ony give me back my money… or else i wont be buying any content on psn

  • @434

Can you supply one reason, other than “someone else got it for less than I paid” that would justify a refund? Your product was not altered in any way because of this promotion. It was apparently worth the price to you when you bought it, and since it has not been altered it stands to reason that you should not get a refund.

  • Poopookakabumbum

Hey thanks for excluding Canada once again, you bunch of jackasses.

Nothing like blatantly discriminatory corporate practices.

Stuff like this is why I’m saving for a 360.

  • @ 435

i have supported sony by saying no to game sharing and bought every first party title…

and bro u must uber rich… but value every $ i spent on psn…

its just that i feel cheated… wait tell this happens to you

few people bought this game last week… how would u explain this to them???

  • Just one thing to say: PLEASE keep releasing PSOne titles! There are so many good ones, you are missing out on some big sales. No offense, but the current library of Playstation Originals is kinda lame. More games!

  • @437

If you had read my comments earlier you would know that it has happened to me, and I am not complaining about it. I am far from “uber rich” but I am financially stable (read: I have a job and I know how to manage money).

You would not feel cheated if this promotion never came to pass. You should ask yourself what aspect of the promotion makes you feel cheated? You did not feel cheated by the $10 price point in the first place did you? So the only reason you feel cheated is that during this week people do not have to pay $10. Should the people who buy the game next month get it for free as well? Where should the line be drawn?

  • wow ragdoll kong fu is AMAZING! :D I think it’s even better than SuperSmash Bros!!

  • I feel for the poor souls (ahem, I mean suckers) who paid for RDKF. It would have been better if Sprint chose Crash Commando, an totally underrated game that’s been out longer (and neeeds more people for online multiplayer).

If I were Sony, I would have sent a message to all who bought RDKF and gave them a $5 credit to their account, that way they will spend more on PSN and be made happier and feel less screwed, more of a win win than the way they handled it.

  • Not available in Canada…pfff…

Sony is really starting to tick me off!
I have to agree with Poopookakabumbum @ 436…Sony truly is a bunch of jackasses!
I’m not going to purchase a 360 though…that system sucks too; I’m just considering not making any more purchases on the PSN.

After the tens of thousands I’ve spent on Sony products, I am saddened to know we’re once again excluded.

Just when you think “everyone” might be appreciated, something like this happens to destroy your faith.

I guess my collection of games will have to drop to major (disc based) purchase desires only…not just any game that looks like it may be cool.

I wonder if Sony knows how much business they’re losing with each time they exclude other nations. I know they’ve just lost a ton with me now…unless they do something quick.

Sony devs always maintain that they’re listening and providing consumer requests…but they actually only provide the things “they” deem necessary, and it’s B.S.!

I mean, I’m still waiting for the PS3 to support all formats and the PAL standard as well…not just NTSC.

So, I must say whoot to you for not keeping all the customers in mind when providing bonuses.

  • And red tape my ass…things “You” consider to be high priority never takes this long for approval.
It’s clear that this issue isn’t considered important.
Avid consumers just love to be neglected after supporting a company solely in every situation.

Did you forget that we too contributed to the rise of this company? If the U.S. were the only ones to purchase your products, guess what???…you would be the least popular company available today.
It’s the combined effort of “ALL” your fans that have allowed you to excel.

I’m probably not the only one to feel cheated and alienated here either, so…
    Good job SONY!!!

  • @441

I wonder if Sprint is covering the tab for Canada as well as the U.S.

    Oh wait…I don’t wonder actually.

This game is not being given away. Sprint is paying for it. So if you are not getting it maybe you should take it up with Sprint.

  • This is AWESOME Thank You Sprint & Sony, played it yesterday and it got me hooked

  • Keep up the momentum. Five rating for you.

  • Maaaan free ragdoll how come everything good happens in the states. hey how about you guy make it free in the canada store too just because. we have playstasion here too you know.lol.
