In case you missed it, yesterday Gametrailers TV ran an exclusive clip of the first official Uncharted 2: Among Thieves single player footage featuring Drake scrambling through a war-torn Nepalese city in search of his new partner, Chloe. Check it out below:
Now if that gameplay footage wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, IGN just posted more than five minutes of this single player video and new story details! See even more of Drake in action as he encounters the enemies in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
very nice game…it is going to be great…and it looks amazing graphically…very well done and it reminds of why I fell in love with the first uncharted!
It looks amazing, the animations are on par with something from Pixar. Cannot wait for this, the environments are nicely detailed as well.
But that guy on the porch, how did he not hear Drake crashing thru the floor?
Thanks Arne :) I was kidding, mostly. But if I may offer a suggestion: War-torn locales are somewhat difficult to distinguish. When MSG4 footage was coming out before that game’s release, we mostly only saw the war-torn Middle East levels. More recently, and I can’t speak for all PS gamers, but Killzone 2 was pretty much war-torn from top to bottom. Going forward, consider giving us a glimpse of a more picturesque gamespace from Uncharted 2…? Not that what we’re seeing isn’t excellent, but you know…

Nathan Drake isn’t shy about giving a guy a reacharound is he?! I mean, seriously, he finished off at least 2 or 3 guys with a reacharound in that vid!!
…sorry. I had to, the setup was just so easy…
the reach around attacks (where you reach around a corner or ledge and grab+throw someone) are awesome though, despite the numerous jokes this will spawn from now untill the end of time forever and ever. oh boy.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! The whole atmosphere for this game is amazing because of the attention to detail. I’m loving Drake’s animations, climbing, hand to hand, facial and the rest, simply look amazing. I could go on and on, great job.

As I watched these videos I simply leaned back, smiled, and said to myself: “Naughty Dog has done it again!”
Seriously, all of you guys at Naughty Dog constantly release FLAWLESS games! In the above videos I saw no graphical glitches, no slipped animations, no dumb AI moves, not one stall in the fluidity of the gameplay… it was absolutely flawless!
Naughty Dog is my favorite developer studio HANDS DOWN! You guys (and girls) create flawless, beautiful games and I will support you all ’til the day I die. Period.
Just wanted to let you guys a Naughty Dog know that this game looks absolutely incredible.

Please don’t show videos from any other locations before the premiere, Nepal is great – people are already hyped and they will be buying this game. That way we will see suprise after suprise when we will be playing U2 for the first time ;]

Uncharted is just an amazing game, many developers and publishers would love to get it right like you guys did with the first game…really difficult today to establish a franchise…
Awesome visuals, gameplay, story and characters, voice acting is fresh and great…you can’t help but love Drake, I’m must accept that I didn’t really liked the idea of playing with Drake, I saw the game frot cover and I thought…mmmhhh I don’t feel identified with that guy but then when I heard him talking the first lines…I just loved the character

After watching this, this is on my top 3 games ever and I haven’t even played it yet. The movement mechanics and all the detail put into every single move is ridiculous, you can even see different facial expressions (unless I am hallucinating). I am going to buy inFamous just to play the beta for this game. Amazing job, this is why I am studying to become a programmer, being able to create something with so much detail must be a really satisfying job after it has been completed.
Looking better every time I watch it. Love you guys!
What i really like is the Playstation developing community where every developer comes together to help each other in making of a game. No wonder each of playstation exclusive game is so satifying to play and so so brilliant to watch…..

By the way, are we getting a sorts of “special” edition in the “normal” edition? You know, you included lots of stuff in Uncharted: DF, such as the ability to play the game in a different perspective, make-of videos, all in all awesome godies!
…or maybe this time are putting all those features in a collector’s edition?

1 thing tho, please no big game installs? You didn’t do it with the 1st Uncharted so hopefully you won’t with this one. I’m starting not to buy games with big installs.
Wow wow wow wow wow…..man this game looks mighty fine to me. Lighting is fantastic in that 5 minute clip….graphics are so god dam lush and the frame rate is so smooth…i only have one thing to say and that is i hope the roll from behind cover is tweaked as it looked a little hesistant!
Keep those clips coming and can we please have more details about multiplayer any chance i can have an early copy…tee hee ;-)

Very nice. Though like the camera always over the shoulder whn in shootouts nor a cursor while blind firing or “shooting from the hip” as seen in IGN video. Could You make that optional in the full game?

wow the hair on his head looks alot better then the 1st, graphics i would say its pretty much like MGS4 and drake just look 2 times better then the 1st.. got to love naughty dog.. 0o0o yeaa i see ya added a bit more on the fighting and sneaking is a good add to it..

Definitely a lot more going on in this game than the last one. The last one focused more on puzzle solving than actual combat. Don’t get me wrong, the last Uncharted was one of the best games of the year, but this one seems to be taking the series into a whole different direction.
Will there be as many puzzles in this game as in the previous one?

Looks Amazing, hope only that the single player dont be shortned because of the multiplayer mode how was with Resistence 2 for exemple.
I think my only concern is with single player & hoping we don’t get short changed so Uncharted can jump on the multiplayer bandwagon.
To think Naughty Dog is actually able to make this look so much better that Drake’s Fortune is what really impresses me. No need to say this is my most anticipated game of the year yet. I would say to keep up the good work but it seems like you guys are already doing so. Unfortunatly I won’t be able to buy inFAMOUS, notonly enjoy the game but also enjoy your beta because I already have to spend $150 to fix my Playstation3’s “yellow light of death” (just my luck).
