Just wanted to say I'm excited to play the sequel, but the only thing stopping me is I want to play the first. Hurry up and put that up on the Network!

Did anyone else notice the typing error on page 4 of the software manual (digital copy anyway) that says "(duringbmission)" instead of "(during mission)"

I like owning UMDs. Sure I'll gripe about lugging them around, but MS cards are expensive and DD never feels like I actually own anything. An empty box with a download code would make me feel worse. I'm glad I didn't pre-order Patapon 2 because of that.

Downloads aren't the same. There's no disc. From what I understand the license is locked to up to 5 PSPs. What if my PSP breaks tomorrow? The download on my MS probably won't work on the new PSP right out of the box. I'll have to re-download it. Where's the closest free WiFi? What if I'm out of town on a trip?

Of course, all the points and counter points we are making here are pretty much moot. We are talking about stuff that's way too technical for the average joe user. I know, I deal with them on a daily basis and I guarantee they outnumber us greatly. Their realm of technical expertise is, "I can plug it into the wall and it works." Simple is better and there's nothing simpler than putting a physical disc into a disc drive. This is why nearly 1/2 of the floor space at BestBuy is still occupied by isles and isles of CDs and DVDs. If everything said about going digital were true then BestBuy wouldn't carry CDs and DVDs any more.

@146
No he ment have the game on the ms but still have the umd in the drive for game recognition. kinda like play the game off the stick but keep the game in the drive to recognize you own the game.

So like i said having the umd in the drive wile the game is played off the MS defeats the purpose.

What i find funny in all this is why ppl say get a game ripper to put it on the MS, well just get the game as a download. See i know you want a physical copy of the game but downloads are just the same no matter how you look at it, its just that DD games from the psn are the hardcopy you cant sell or pass to a friend.

I think what he means is that the game is copied from the UMD to the MS, after which the player would be able to play the game without the UMD. This would allow the person to play off MS and still have a physical copy of the game which they actually own.

so your saying you want the game to play on the MS but you still want to have the umd in the drive to still play the game...dont that defeat the purpose. DD are a way of just not having the umd at all.

I know what would be even better than DD. How about UMD to MS installation like the way Xbox 360 does. You would still need the UMD to play the game, but it would run off the MS.

I'd like that a lot more than DD only releases.
