I have ps1,ps2,psp,ps3 and im about to sell it 4 xbox360 all my friends have one im a loner with ps3 your updates suck balls tired of waiting for voice chat what the
ya know, if you said what exactly it is fixing in more detail, these vanilla updates would be more interesting.
omfg Sony. I guess you people love having a 3rd place console this generation. The 100+ million sales in both PS1 and PS2 has gone to your heads.

-PS2 BC
-FIX THE WEB BROWSER
-IMPROVE THE PLAYER CARDS SHOW GAMES WE PLAY ON THEM
Wonderful job Sony, just sit there and be satisfied with a last place console while pissing off your customers:
-Cross Game Voice Chat!
-Party features.
-Faster in game XMB.
-Ability to stream internet radio.
-Web Browser that actually works well. (WebKit based or something)
-Launch all games from Home. (like LittleBigPlanet, Socom, and all FPSs)
The PS3 has fallen behind dramatically.

Eric, will there be any fixes for PlayStation 2 games running on the CECHE01 PS3 model?
i.e: Kingdom Hearts Re-Chain of Memories, and other titles with issues.
One of these days, you’re going to need to start providing a more detailed changelog

Updates are always good, I hope more comes out of this than just PS format software working better but if not, ah well, at least you’re fixing some things.
I’m thinking we’re gonna need some cross-chat, custom soundtracks, and more avatars. what happened to the big updates?

You do realise the difference between creating a JPG picture with programming at an operating system level don’t you?
Not the firmware update we were anticipating but it’s better than nothing.

I for one know that the updates we ask for will come in due time. However, I hate these types of updates because we as consumer need to know what exactly these firmware do to your system. Many people download these “USELESS” updates and it kill their PS3 and they have to end up paying $160 dollars to fix it if they are out of warranty. So the firmware team need to minimize these “useless” updates because you never know what it might do to your PS3. I for one had my launch 60GB PS3 get mess up with the 2.4 update.

Why would they take it into consideration? It’s just a bunch of whinny people moaning..it never changes with these people.
We have in-game XMB, Trophies, Home, too many AAA games too keep up with, more games on the way, firmware updates every few months…for free..but it’s just never enough for these people. They remind me of spoilt brats at christmas time..always wanting more and not bothering to think about the work that goes into it.
People keep going on and on about things like “OMG HOW EASY WOULD IT BE TO GIVE US CROSS GAME CHAT..etc..etc” Like they have the first idea about programming, it’s so pathetic it makes me giggle.

I love how ppl go on and on about all the features they think are comin with a .10 firmware upgrade. I think if it were something along those lines of a major update, they would be more descriptive. People need to relax.
Speaking of updates, now that Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is out in the United States, is an English release of Ad-Hoc Party in the works as well?

You are soooo right. I understand to try to deactivate a psp or Ps3 in less than 6 months or even a year. But when I have a Ps3 or multiple PSP (yeah I had many brokens ones and one installing the update via wifi in the psp) without use in more than a year they said I have to have the number of service that I erase while ago because it was not important anymore. I even said that I had the psp with me without use to send it because it was broken but still. That’s why I didn’t bought a PSP till then.
Anyway on topic…. I guess it’s time for a mayor update, I know summer just started bust still.

Lame… where are the features we want? It’s like you guys hear us but take ages to implement everything if anything.
Like the photo viewer thing and text chat. What the heck? No one wanted that stuff.
I used to defend you for these sorts of things but it’s taking forever to get any more good features that PSN could use.
I’m not saying I hate my PS3, I love it, but this stuff is annoying. So Sony, where are out good features?

Great. Another useless firmware update….I’m getting to used to this pattern. Something big had better come along!
Can someone let me know when the Software (emulation) will be released for PS2 compatibility. You know like the one that was already released it seemed to work well on those systems. Even if you want to make it an optional download I’m sure some people would not have a problem paying $10 bucks for it.

When i’m reading multiple messages from the same guy, i’m backed out into the friends list after reading a message. I want to be able to back into my list of messages from him after reading one of his messages.

all these comments are for not people. this is sony. they couldnt care less what you want. the cryptic “playback has been enhanced” is all your going to get. also remember that sony of america is just the gimped little arm of sony of japan. they control everything.
Well, sorry to say it but the PS3 is going nowhere. I’ve waited almost three years now for Sony to beef up the PSN in ways that matter and unfortunately they have failed to deliver. I know the service is free but hey, i’d rather you charge then leave us hanging like this. Do I need Home? Nope, sure dont. Not when I cant socialize with gamers the way I can on XBOX LIVE, with ease mind you. And I can hear the other players clearly too. On PSN some games have voice some dont, some use a better codec some like warhawk dont. It’s so bad its not funny. It’s down right amateurish. I use to be a hardcore PC gamer because we had great multiplayer games, Teamspeak and Ventrillo and could chat in IM or IRC, listen to music all at the same time. At least Microsoft was paying attention!!! They drew me back into the living room..A place I havent been since I got bored with PS2!!! I regret spending 705 dollars on your console and Resistance 1 at launch when I had a 360 Pro and Gears of War at home. I will never let brand loyalty cloud my judgement like that again. You lose this generation. no question about that. But we do fall for the chance to get back up again. Good luck.
BORING! Give us something good. My Orignal PS3 died so I had to get one without backward capatablity AND a PS2. give us something good like you used to.
