Beautiful Update. My PS3 chose a BAD time to break. AHHHHHHHH…

53

corryn  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:07 pm

We all love the e3 updates- especially the lure of the free downloads for Voltron and Dexter, thanks.

But we have a problem. Some of the new backgrounds in the store- the new releases page in Video and the e3 page in the game side make it impossible to read the releases in the list view mode. It would be awesome if something were done about that.

Good job on the presser today though, that thing just kept going and going…

At $10 you DEFINITELY can’t pass up the Final Fantasy VII psone classic that most everyone has been waiting for! :D Thanks much!

Xenogears, Vagrant Story, FF8 and more please.

61

LordTobert  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Is anyone else unable to get onto the PSN?

62

Jetup  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:16 pm

Umm, what about the PSP video store?
It’s still not on

63

stlthriot  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:17 pm

Oh, and seeing there were 2 PSone classics today, will there be more over the next 2 days? :D

And, hopefully lots of fun demos and PSN games on Thursday!

64

GOD OF WAR

66

Ejsponge61  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:26 pm

I cant seem to get on the new PSP video store. Also, where is the press conference itself on the PS store. Last E3 it was available to download, what happened to this years conference?

67

xeno3d  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:27 pm

Amazing… FF VII was like 4 cds when it came out and now it all fits on one little memory stick to play on my PSP.

Way cool, thanks Sony!!

68

xeno3d  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:28 pm

God of War would be awesome to see this week

69

Jetup  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:28 pm

When will the video store be up? I hate waiting (Waited to long for FF7)

70

Buddyleej  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:29 pm

71

steviepeas  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:29 pm

72

KezraPlanes  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:30 pm

Can we expect one update tomorrow and another the day after? (the remaining E3 days)

73

sonicjosh  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:31 pm

When are we going to be able to download the keynote? I was only able to see part of it live.

74

Demonhunter84  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:31 pm

@71 it updates every day during E3 week.

75

Demonhunter84  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:32 pm

Anyone else see Twisted Metal on the PS1 Classics section? When you let it idle it shows Twisted Metal but when you click on it it gives you an error. So maybe we Twisted Metal tomorrow?

76

Vengeful-Chaos  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:33 pm

Why are the high valued games priced higher? That’s not cool at all people. All older PS1 classics should be the same price no matter how much people want them.

77

stlthriot  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:34 pm

By the way, with all this great content and all that is on the way, you guys need to have a post about upgrading the PS3 hard drive and and any models you would recommend.
Western Digital is always good!

Anyone else here upgraded theirs?
And, if so, to what?

78

xeno3d  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:35 pm

Looking to upgrade my HD in mine to nothing less than a 500GB

79

jwspiker  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:37 pm

really really hard to read with the E3 background on the psn store, nearly impossible.

80

Shin-Ra  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:37 pm

Mmmm more new games.

81

sandymac  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:37 pm

The new PS Store theme is very hard to read at times.

82

Kenshin71  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:37 pm

Will Sony be announcing a full downloadable games service as well? One thing that came out of E3 was that MS are going to offer a service that offers downloads of full retail games, so obviously publishers are OK with that. This is a brilliant idea and as a single console owner I’m worried Sony won’t follow suit. I really want to be able to keep some full retail games on my HDD. Please bring it up with management if it hasn’t been discussed.

83

Meteorgun7  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:41 pm

Downloading FF7!!! Yes, i hope more FF games make it to the store, I will buy them all!

84

HWarrior  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:41 pm

Please fix the transparency level on the layers in the new game/video stores. Depending on the background (unbelievably the E3 page is the worst), the text is completely unreadable. You went way too far on the transparency slider with that guys.

Or better yet add in a way to turn off the transparency all together when browsing the stores.

85

linebeginstoblur  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:42 pm

@81
Sony was way ahead of Microsoft on that one. Burnout Paradise and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue are examples.

86

Dark_Vincent  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:42 pm

Wow, great show today Sony. And FF7 for 10 isn’t a steal, it’s a deal. Unlike RE1, it hasn’t been re-released ever since Greatest Hits in 1999 I think. My black label discs are still here though, and it will stay forever =)

87

mafecto  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:44 pm

Today was win, all the way around.

Nice work folks.

88

TheHakku  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:44 pm

Will there be a way to download the -entire- Sony press conference as well (say, in one massive video)?

89

steviepeas  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:46 pm

no sign of ff7 in uk

90

OnionKnight11  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:46 pm

What is the file size of FF7? I can’t buy it until later this week.

91

REAPERx45  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:49 pm

Woohoo! Way to go Sony! FF7! I can’t believe this is happening! BEST UPDATE EVER!

92

Jetup  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:49 pm

@89…Its 1.32 Gb for FF7

93

thegriefer  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:51 pm

alot of ff7 love. You should bring mgs on the psn too, everyone will buy that game. Oh and im sure you have heard this before but get ps2 games on the psn.

94

whatisdelicious  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:52 pm

a) The new Store design is fine, but the SFX for selecting and going back are annoying.

b) You should make Tuesday your permanent update day. Stop letting Xbox update first every week. It may seem like a trivial thing, but I’m sure a lot of people that own a 360 and a PS3 just buy multiplatform content on 360 first instead of waiting until Thursday because, well, why would they?

So bump it up to Tuesday and get some extra sales as a result.

x-M0N0X1DE-x  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 7:59 pm

JEFF I WISH WE HAD THE OPTION TO ACCESS “HOME” ON THE NEW PSP GO

96

tirminyl  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 8:07 pm

Hey, I like the new store update (visually) BUT it is extremely difficult to see the item names (in list view) when scanning through due to the transparency of the buttons and mainly the background color choice.

97

Cagalli  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 8:07 pm

Final Fantasy XIII and XIV trailers in HD please!

98

tirminyl  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 8:08 pm

Also, I agree with whatisdelicious. Change your store updates to Tuesdays!

99

ExPresident  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 8:09 pm

Nice update. FFVII thx ;O

100

madscientist80  |  June 2nd, 2009 at 8:10 pm
