With all the shock of an alarm clock jolting us out of our sleep in the middle of the night, we’ve been informed that today, June 11th, is the PlayStation.Blog’s 2nd birthday.
We’ve been very busy with E3 and stuff, but “Yay!”
PlayStation.Blog launched 2 years ago today to a pretty huge reception. In that time, I think we’ve gone from a “good first step” to a full-fledged social media program, with a robust Facebook community, fun community meetups, and enough Twitter followers to make Jamie Kennedy jealous. Watch out, Shaq, we’re coming for ya.
But in all seriousness, the time does fly, and I think it’s because of our very involved readership (this means YOU) that keeps us motivated and busy. In the last year, we’ve redesigned and added features, spawned a new European brother, survived a 20,000 comment onslaught, and adopted our very own Chris Morell (seriously, he sleeps here at night). And we’re working on some new features and integrations that, a year from now, should make today’s blog look very… 2007.
So, yes, thank you for reading, commenting, @replying, attending, subscribing, and, in general, doing what you’ve been doing to make this site what it is.
OK, that’s enough back-patting, now we’d like to go back to sleep. Er, work.

Though I’ve only been posting in this blog for the past several months now, its been a fun experience so far. I mostly interested in PSP related posts since I only own a PSP at the moment and its been a bit rough for PSP owners on occasion (like that post-5.00 Firmware update drought). I’m hopeful that the PSP will get more content each week in the form of PSP versions of PSN games like Mega Man 9, some more PSP game demos, and more PSone Classics. Anyhow, happy birthday.

Man, in the first year I was in the Top 10 commenters-the shirt’s packed away in a safe place :) – but in the past year, you guys have been moving way too fast for me. Seriously, four to six posts in a single day? This place has become a serious force to reckon with- I’m betting every gaming site’s editor has this place in his favorites. Happy Birthday. :)

The blog has certainly come a long way. I can’t wait for the launch of the mobile version and other features such as user post history, user direct reply (no pyramid setup just keep them all in line as if the author just responded to a post).
There are a million of things I can think of but I am sure you guys have it down on a list. I can help if needed :-D Keep up the great work!
