I hope it is expansionary in nature to the games. A story not told by the games but has its roots to the series. I think that would be a compelling way to connect the two mediums and products together.

I too am on the Nolan North bandwagon – I think not only is the guy skilled enough to do it, but he deserves it as he really did make Uncharted the experience it was – he (and the other members of the Uncharted cast) really set the bar at a new level of the quality of game voice acting.

That said, I think he would need to buff up a bit for the role. He’s not in quite the physical condition the role of Drake would require. Sorry Nolan – it’s true!

Nathan Fillion is the only actor I could remotely see having the exact skills, and talents, appearance, character, and sarcasm, that Nathan Drake possesses, He would just completely and utterly nail this role to the wall, and make not only hollywood proud, but Naughty Dog and Sony as well, as an up and coming, momentum(popularity) gaining TV star, he would be perfect for this movie role, I really can’t see anyone else in Drake’s shoes…
The man is a brilliant actor, and deserves an offer he can’t refuse to play this role.
To see his past work see some of the later seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer when he appears as a sadistic, and moraly corrupt preacher, The TV series Firefly, followed by the movie adaptation/culmination/conclusion ‘Serenity’ where he plays a sarcastic, rebelous, set in his ways captain of a spaceship, and more recently the TV series ‘Castle’ where he plays a lighthearted, rambunctious young father/mystery novel writer, who helps the police track down criminals and murderers, wisecracking, and flirting with women,(mainly the female detective assigned to work with him)…

ok my big long comment on why it should be Nathan Fillion isn’t showing up, so… um, yea… Nathan Fillion deserves the role, and Sony/Naughty Dog/Columbia/Hollywood in general deserves Nathan Fillion in this role, it’s a perfect fit, apparantly the numbers are speaking.

Sure, there are 400+ comments and I’m fairly positive no one important will read this but my voice must be heard.

The ONLY person that can do the character justice is none other than Nathan Fillion. And from the comments I’ve read, many MANY people agree.

He would be PERFECT as Nathan Drake. Not only does he look the part but he can actually act the part (wise cracks and such). If ANYONE ELSE plays the role, I will not be watching the movie (that’s a bit harsh…I’ll wait for the DVD release…lol).

I think that there is no question about who should play Nathan Drake… Nathan Fillion. However, barring that, another choice that I have not heard on here is John Borrowman (Captain Jack Harkness, Dr.Who/Torchwood) He looks like Drake (and Fillion for that matter, lol) and is a very witty and talented actor.

David Boreanaz,just look him up in google images. His look and charachter fit Drake perfectly. Lets be honest here, Nathen Fillion has the voice yes but he doesn’t look anything like Drake. David Boreanaz voice imo is fine for drake. If you’ve ever seen the series ”Bones” you’ll know what I mean.

Nolan North he’s like perfect and looks almost exactly like Drake, same goes for Elena if they got Emily Rose as well then this movie would be amazing. I haven’t seen Sully’s actor yet so Sean Connery lol, he’ll just have to gain weight XD. Or he could be Gabriel Roman(the bad guy).

But then again Ryan stole his role in X-men lol, if you saw the interview they suggested Ryan do Nathan but Nolan didn’t seem to thrilled lol but he was probably just kidding I’m sure he would make a great Nathan. And if they can’t get Nolan, or Ryan then I guess they can go for that Nathan Fillion guy I don’t see whats so great about him though.

They all have good enough humor and cynicism to play the part, go look at joe flannigan in SG Atlantis, or Nathan Fillion in Firefly/ Serenity. They both look like Nathan Drake but Nolan North has the voice

there an incredible movie in french and can be watched streamed thru netflix called district 13. the lead actor looks similar – maybe a little younger and buffer but his athletic abilities is up their with jackie chan – easily – so he can do alot of his own stunts as well. because nothing worst than watching the hero do blue screen stunts.
