PlayStation Eye Chat: Shatter for PSN

Man, somehow we missed the incredibly cool upcoming PSN game, Shatter, at E3. Thankfully, the kind folks at developer Sidhe agreed to participate in the PSB’s first-ever video interview using the PlayStation Eye. And considering the company resides down in New Zealand (insert generic Flight of the Conchords quip here), it’s just about the only way to get them talking in-person.

Shatter is like Arkanoid on steroids…and we mean that in the most positive way. Here, Managing Director Mario Wynands talks about the game’s slick graphics, power-ups and unique push/pull gameplay that makes this PSN game the real deal.

For a second, i though it was voice chat in game, but no, how misleading :(

is it necessary to reiterate the same thing over and over. yes the videos not working were all capable of figuring that out. and the hell with in game voice chat. you want that feature go pay for a xbl subscription. the FREE PSN service is good enough as it is. Remember, ITS FREE!!

It was a really good opportunity for an “out of the way” developer like us to get some exposure.

Seems like a great idea with the video chat and talking to developers overseas.

That was great…… keep up the eye interviews (especially with the more attractive interviews). Thanks for more pseye games as well. it would be great if you set up an interview with the makers of EYE PET.

If you want to do this PS Eye Chat thing, you might as well include the PS3 owners as well. It’d be a good way to build up the community, provided you manage it well.

well, the blog is sorta glitchin’ on me. first the video didn’t work, but thats ok, it does now, but then it says i have the ability to edit post, and i was like WHA, and then when i refreshed it left, and instead it said i could look at it in the mobile version :D. But when i look at the story individually instead of the home page, it doesn’t give me the option. i’m guessing the mobile version isn’t officially anounced yet?

Simply awesome… how come you guys never did it before. This should be the default interview platform on the blog from now on. No commute time, no expense approval… This is great.

You know, we could get a whole poop-load more interviews by you guys if they were all done with the PS eye, interviews in person is sooo 19th century.
