Just sent my 60 GB PS3 for OOW repair cause it was not reading dual layer Blu-rays (freezing/locking up during play) hope this did not fix the problem as being out $150 for a system I babied is painful.

By the way, I’m getting really tired of downloading and installing small updates like this. Why don’t you bundle these small updates in ONE big update. That would save me a lot of time.

Usually .10 upates are pretty good.

I’m hoping this will fix the SingStar Country PS2 bug that keeps it from working with the PS3 SingStar disc swap feature.

Please detail it more! A nice Round 2.80 Firmware can’t come with only: “The playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 format software has been improved.” what’s that about? PSN improves? Cross Game Voice Chat? Anything? Just… this?

The amount of details regarding this is amazing, lol.

Eric, there are some things that need to be fixed that just aren’t right.

1. When hitting background downloaded on the PS Store, you hear two sounds at the same time. This never happened before until about two updates ago.

2. Fix that clock overlapping thing. It’s just been far too long and it’s sort of a joke now.

3. The censoring in the Text Chat is a bit ridiculous. Look at Home and follow what they do. They have taken the community complaints of all the erroneous censoring and they got fixed!

4. Give us a timer on how long downloads will be when background downloading. At the moment, it only shows the estimated time if you don’t or can’t background DL.

5. Message support for PSone games. We aren’t signed out from the PSN when playing PS1 games, and we can still see messages or text chat stuff received. It’d be cool to have an option go to our friendslist. We don’t even need to full XMB. Just give us an option after pressing the PS button that says “Friends List”.

6. The information bar should possibly just be the PlayStation twitter feed.

7. More avatars. We need them. Give it!
