D-Squad3  |  June 10th, 2009 at 7:34 pm

I hope the PS3 update comes soon and hopefully will add something a lot of people want instead of just software stability. >_>

Enforcer_X  |  June 10th, 2009 at 7:40 pm

YAY!!!!

@4
I WANT STABILITY!

6

BIGELLOW  |  June 10th, 2009 at 7:46 pm

I absolutely LOVE “some features”. I’m so glad to have more stability now.

skater2  |  June 10th, 2009 at 7:48 pm

Eric, any news on a new PS3 update?

8

warezIbanez  |  June 10th, 2009 at 7:51 pm

Can we see a Hulu or Pandora application for ps3 sometime soon? Please??

9

Pendharker  |  June 10th, 2009 at 7:52 pm

Are we getting Ad Hoc party in the states? I REALLY want that feature. If we are getting it, will it be out by Monster Hunter Unite’s release?

Wow, Mr. Lempel’s ‘announcements’ have now degraded to a mere 2 sentences, conveying no useful information whatsoever.

We won’t here from him again until the next PS3 firmware ‘announcement’, which will probably be a sentence and a half.

Maybe he’s using the lame text chat from fw 2.70 to post to this blog and can only input 35 characters ;-)

Any PS3 updates coming?

13

maver1ck89  |  June 10th, 2009 at 7:54 pm

Oh, like the awesome feature where if i accidentally hold the power thing for too long and my psp shuts off any and all progress in my videos and or podcasts gets wiped? or the awesome feature where if god forbid i’m running more than window in the web browser my system will hard lock for up t but not greater than twenty minutes? or the sweet feature where i can never get remote play to work from anywhere ever?

you know, i think we’re all starting to resent these stupid firmware updates that do all but waste our time just because you guys get pirated more than an african cruise line and have to patch up your sinking ship every three weeks because they got bigger guns. geeze.

thanks for text chat on the PS3 though, that was neat.

Where’s teh PS3 luv? :(

15

nex_epor  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:03 pm

@3
That’s what I’m waiting for too. And a better way to skip to a specific part of an audio file for when I accidentally stop a long podcast.

16

lowhonor  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:06 pm

thank you for that eye opening informative look at the firmware

17

Schnacky  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:08 pm

NeoHumpty  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:24 pm

Gotta agree. I would love to see a Pandora update. You could charge me a one time fee of $50 and I would still jump on it.

21

NeoHumpty  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:25 pm

Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora, Pandora…….Sorry, just wanted to make sure you heard me.

27

PlasmaGlory  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:42 pm

So pretty much it just renders homebrew apps moot for a week until DarkAlex cracks it again.

28

Lord-Me  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:45 pm

I just want WMV and Flash player support please!

29

AwRy108  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:47 pm

Does this update magically shave $50 off of the PSP Go price AND make it sprout a 2nd analog stick?

Hmmm, I doubt it.

tirminyl  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:49 pm

Posting for a request to add background downloading or queued downloading for the PSP.
