Hi all,

We know a lot of you Ratchet & Clank fans are looking forward to the return of everyone’s favorite intergalactic duo this fall in Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. As we gear up for launch, we wanted to fill you in on some pre-order programs for the game which kick off today! Here are some of the cool R&C goodies you’ll get when you pre-order Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time:

Discovery Package – Explore the Insomniac Moon, a special level that resembles the layout of the Insomniac Games’ offices! Scattered through this museum-like level, you will discover a moon’s worth of extra content that didn’t quite make it into the game.

Power Package –The Power package includes an exclusive weapon skin for one of Ratchet’s weapons. You will also start the game with extra hit points, and Ratchet’s brand new Cryo Mine Glove, a weapon that freezes enemies! (This pre-order program goes into effect over the next few weeks.)

Bolt Package – The thrifty gamer will find lots to love in this exclusive Bolt Package! Start the game with two of Ratchet’s most bolt-centric power-ups — the Bolt Magnetizer and Box Basher, and you will discover your galactic bank account has already loaded with 5,000 bolts when you start the game.

My question is, is there any way to get all of the packages without reserving several copies?

This is honestly pretty terrible. Probably sounded good on paper.
1. In game bonuses are ALWAYS lame.
2. Different items at different retail locations are ALWAYS lame.

forget the nay sayers Insomniac, you make great games and pay fan service every chance you get. I am tired of people who REFUSE to pre-order ANYTHING and then complain when they can’t find it on day one because places are sold out. Saw it with SFIV and many other titles recently with a couple of friends…I keep telling them: shut up and pre-order you have nothing to lose (I mean really…are they worried about “interest” on $5…at the current rates?)

Insomniac thank you for so many great games…I will faithfully devote portions of my paychecks to you forever more.

…now I have to figure out how to get them all like I did with LBP…hmmmm…*goes away scheming*

yeah i think ill go preorder so i can get things that either should have come with game or what looks like cheat codes!

i was looking forward to this game (minus the stupid name change). i was going to buy this game but i might wait and buy it used instead!

Please answer! Will there be a Collector’s Edition?! I don’t care if you just say “We can’t answer that” just please respond! I’m sick of being ignored.

    We can\’t answer that =)

Well, initially, my response was similar to that of the other posters.

but then i read the response about the malikov and grim skins, and that made me realize that all of this is temporary. it is with most every preorder bonus. put simply, it’s a reward for NOT waiting. you know, buying all the hype. but then, it ALWAYS ends up being available again in some form.

however, being a hardcore R&C fan, i’m really put off the idea of preordering now. I wanna wait and earn all of this stuff, especially the museum ( >:) ) all on my own.

I’m surprised it took until mid-page 3 for the stupid to subside. SteveMcQwark nailed it on the head- most of these things will be available at some point in the game- these pre-orders just bring them into your hands a little earlier. And the skins? They’re SKINS! Are you all seriously whining that your weapon will be blue instead of maybe having a little skull sticker on the side? They’ll function EXACTLY THE SAME! The planet… Well… Insomniac, you know I’m your biggest fan (so, what, that means your No. 1 fan is coagulation of like 700 or so people?) but they have their point there…

Multiple stores?’

“Didn’t quite make it into the game?” … except it did because you’re making it available game day 1 with a preorder unlock code.

No these are features that never got quite working for the game itself. If you\’ve played any of out previous \”museum\” levels, it\’s a collection of the features that were cut from the proper game.

Say we pre-order, do we get something physical so we can cancel the pre-order?

Yeah, thats the only one I was worried about, but check this out above:
