On PSN cards it states you can buy movies games etc when in fact we can’t do that here in Canada and yet it says it on the PSN Cards. Even when I browse around my ps3 everywhere it tells me here are the latest video releases but what’s the point if i can’t even access the store. Is there a logical reason as to why there is no video store in Canada? I remember u guys said something about canada restricting content or something but then how does the xbox do it?

Im hoping they bring PSN Cards and the Video Store to Europe (announcing in da GamesCom 2009) although if you really want the vids store that bad just make a new PSN Account on a new user area on your PS3 and say you live in the US (anywhere in there) and give em an address in da US too lol

how about 99-cent rentals for 24-hours for brand new movies or 48-hours for not-so brand new movies?! ie, redbox @ wal-mart. think about it, sony peeps.
people are always on the move and want to maximize their time, including squeezing in some leisure like watch the latest movies or play at the doctor’s office or rock out while filing paper work! it’s a digital generation that’s currently broke but still know how to have fun!

Yes, I’ve gotten a few things from the store before.
Also, I’d like to make a suggestion for the TV shows … please allow us PSN users the option to purchase and download seasons at a time of a show we consumers buy. That would allow the PSN Video Store some flexability over the Live Marketplace I think.
We need discouted section for older movies that is why Netflix is better (Cheaper prices) I can get most of these movies down at my libray for FREE. And I think everyone who Buys Qore should get 1 Free movie Rental a Month. Just my thoughts. :)

That doesn’t work, they check your IP and won’t allow you on the video store (the icon in the corner doesn’t show.
Even if you do manage to get there (by clicking on a promotional panel etc…) you can not access the videos.

Wow there is a long list of many movies or shows I know nothing about. If I could only watch a trailer or clip in the store when I’m browsing I might know more about these titles.
Seriously I will try watching a movie or a show if I could get some sort of video preview in the store. I’m not going to go leave the store and look up on my browser each show with an interesting title.
@13 I think I remember reading somewhere they wont do a subscription service because it goes against their idea of a free online service. Which kinda makes since because the average consumer would think they have to pay a fee for everything just like w/ Live. But I do agree that may help out the stores popularity as well.

I meant for the videos. Kind of like iTunes’ Season Pass setup. Pay one price and get all the videos for that TV season downloaded automatically.

For those of you complaining about not haveing a video store in Canada, it’s the not sony’s fault. There are international copyright laws, so it is a little harder to get a video store.
How is Dragonball: Evolution #3 on the top movie list? It’s a horrible movie.

Looks like another good update in terms of anime additions. It’s great seeing Fullmetal Alchemist and the remainder of Fist of the North Star available for download. Now if only I made more than enough money to buy all those eps. and a large enough memory stick to store them. :( Anyhow, thanks for the update.

God you gotta love SCEA and SCEC’s incompetence.
Just think about the millions of dollers they’ve cost themselves in lost revenue for not having the video store in Canada yet and not having PSN cards available at launch.
You’d think they would be smart enough to hire extra people, change their corporate structure or whatever it takes to stop and prevent these pointless, revenue costing delays.
But Nope, SCEC will announce the video store whenever that finally ends up happening and expect us to be thankfull for something that should have been done years ago.
