God of War III at Comic-Con, plus Blades of Chaos Replica!

Wanted to share with you guys some of the recent God of War news.

CHAOS IS COMING to the San Diego Comic Con this week! God of War will be showcased at this year’s comic con giving fans access to one of the most highly anticipated games of 2010.

Play God of War III
Show up to the Sony booth any day of the show and get hands on time with God of War III! That’s right you can play the code that everyone has been writing about at E3. Make sure to arrive early. Lines will be long.

God of War Comic Book Signing and Giveaway
Last week we announced the blockbuster deal with DC Comics bringing Kratos to life in comics. Now is your chance to get your hands on a Limited Edition double sided poster of the God of War comic and signed by Marv Wolfman (Writer) and Andy Park (Cover Artist).

Also wanted to let you know that today we announced a cool partnership with United Cutlery. That’s right an authentic Blade of Chaos. The scaled replica of Kratos’ Blades of Chaos, stretches 20 13/16” overall and is designed with a 12 7/16” blade constructed from solid-cast zinc aluminum with a custom-etched mold texture, and unique fantasy grindings that mirror the piece used in the game. The handle grip is injection-molded and surrounded by an intricate, detailed cast-metal guard and pommel. The Blades of Chaos replica includes a custom display stand with the God of War logo. Pretty sweet stuff!

As much as I love the God of War franchise I doubt I would spend $123.99 on the sword even if it does look as awesome as that.

How about a mini letter opener sized sword for those of us who don’t need a replica like that ? :D

Hey Can Yall Please In The Next Playstation 3 ( UPDATE ) Add a feature Where if im in a game and my friend’s are in another game. We can Go to the XMB Screen and go to there name under our Friend’s,And press Triangle and there Could be a call button so that we can call our friend’s even if there in another game.. Please if it’s possible, That Would Be *GREAT*.. Thank’s =)

Not only are we spending money on games, now we’re going broke on collector’s items! First Uncharted 2 and now God of War III! :-( I can’t keep up. Wish there were some contests or even better, free giveaways!

OMG I need to go to Comic-Con one of these days!!!! Please tell me those blades will be in the GOW CE. I will pay a good 230 bucks for the CE edition if it included the following:

GOW 1
GOW 2
GOW 3
The Blade of Chaos
GOW poster

I preordered the blades of chaos, the book and the comic book series.

It’s actually unreal of just how much of a fan I am of this franchise.

Since we don’t have any special membership subscriptions on PSN, why not allow people to pay for Demos before they are available for everyone?

I’m willing to pay for God of War’s III demo (E3 09 booth demo exactly) at the PSN store.

Hells yeah! There’s NO such thing as too much Kratos! Glad to see that he’s expanding beyond the gaming realm as well (while quite wisely avoiding the step towards cinema). Now you’ve got books, posters, replica weapons… There wouldn’t happen to be any God of War shirts, would there? In terms of merchandise, that’s really as far as I ever care to go, and in this case I’d definitely like to go that far. (Same story for the PS3 and PlayStation in general, if the guys in charge of that are listening.)
