Gran Turismo PSP Pre-Order Bonus Items Revealed

120 4

Hey there. We just announced the ZR1 Corvette as our cover car, and now I’m back to announce of some exciting pre-order items that are coming soon.

Pre-order Gran Turismo, and you’ll get a voucher that will add one of the top cars to your in-game collection of cars in an exclusive color. This means that on day one, you’ll be able to smoke your friends in 4-player Ad Hoc Mode multiplayer races with one of these rare sports cars while they are just getting started saving up credits.

First up is the 2009 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 in the Black M color. Sporting a 16-cylinder engine with four turbochargers delivering over 1000hp, this is one of the most sought-after cars in the world, not to mention the fastest production car in the world. And by that, I mean it can do over 254mph.

Also available will be the 2002 Enzo Ferrari in Giallo Modena (yellow). With unmistakable Ferrari style and a 6.0-liter V-12 engine, this car should make it easy start racking up credits to start building your collection from the more than 800 cars in the game.

Next up is the 2008 GTbyCitroen in yellow. You may remember this concept car and its sleek, futuristic style from last year when it was announced at the Paris Motor Show. This car is the result of a close collaboration between Polyphony Digital and the French automaker Citroen. And now it’s making its way into Gran Turismo for PSP.

The fourth car that will be available is the metallic blue version of the 2009 Nissan GT-R Spec V. The new GT-R is one of the hottest cars on the market right now, complete with the in-dash multi-function meter designed by Polyphony Digital. The Spec V reduces overall weight and improves suspension and handling over the previous GT-R, making it even better for whipping around corners at high speeds. Now you can get this exclusive metallic blue color of the GT-R Spec V, on the PSP.

And last but not least is the classic 1974 Lamborghini Countach LP400 in Arancio (orange). Yes, that’s right. Lamborghini. GT fans know this is special, as it marks the first time Lamborghini has ever been in Gran Turismo. And as you can imagine, this won’t be the last Lamborghini in a Gran Turismo game, either.

And these are just five of the more than 800 licensed cars that you can drive in the game. Everyone who gets their hands on the game tells us that these cars look just amazing, speeding around the track at an unprecedented 60fps. Watch the official Gran Turismo website for more specific information in the coming weeks.

Don’t forget, Gran Turismo for PSP launches on October 1, 2009, available at retail and from the PlayStation Network.

  • Stephanie, can you please confirm how these will be released? Is this an all for one pack no matter where you pre-order? Or do separate retailers all give you a different single car?

  • i think we can assume we will see these cars on GT5??? :D

  • Nice! Count me in.

  • Am I the only one who was expecting a physical preorder bonus?

It’s not online for obvious reasons…
With 800 cars, 35 tracks, 60 layouts, crystal clear graphics and 60 frames a second, they probably didn’t have enough space to put online, this isn’t a problem for me personally because the single player aspect of the game looks like it will keep me busy for months.

  • Besides not havin to use a umd, does buyin the downloadable version offer any advantage over the hard copy. Like, since its on your harddrive, does it load faster? I’m pretty sure they will be identical, but sony should really look into this. Enhancements to a game by hardware is always a welcome. Like maybe yah should update the backwards compatiblity. Better graphics and faster loadin is always a crowd pleaser for any game.

  • Also, since this isn’t online, can we use ad hoc party for this?

  • Citroen GT is by far the best car on that list in my opinion. But I totally prefer the color of the actual production model.

  • …I don’t understand why Sony isn’t planning on trojan horsing Gran Turismo to help push PSP Go’s launch. Throw in a code, keep the price point where it is, and pull a Sega. Make it the defacto racing game, and the PSP Go hotter for it.

  • @110

not enough space? lol don’t make me laugh. you and i both know the REAL reason why they skipped out on online.

  • Thanks for replying to one of us on the digital download

  • I agree with 11! It has to be done!

  • is there some way to pre-order it in a digital copy because im buying the psp go ?

  • Damn . . . I got get a GO!

  • Can you pre order on psn and Pspgo.

  • Has anybody been able to find out which cars come from which retailers?

All I’ve found so far is the Bugatti is at Game Stop.

  • Are these cars unlockable in the game? Or are they only available by pre-ordering the game? Can the pre-order codes be used in the PSN download version?
