HORRIBLY organized, but once you get in it’s great. Mainly a scifi and comic book show, but seeing the God of War 3 demo was great.

PS3 had three unreleased games to show off, whereas Xbox360 and Wii were showing off games I already own.

Fan Expo is great. But it’s more Comic and Sci-Fi than Gaming. Canada needs a real, sophisticated TECH & GAMING SHOW. And between Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Ubisoft and EA, they can all make it happen. It’s just no one wants to step forward and organize it.

Because Canada is 1/10th of the population of the States and isn’t as big of a market to be worthwhile to all of them. Which sucks for us.

Considering how Canada houses some big developers and we have a large amount of gamers, it would be nice to have a larger scale Conference as well to make announcements that relate to Canadian gamers and the Canadian development industry. The US has E3, Europe has GamesCom. Don’t get me wrong, FanExpo is cool, but some acknowledgement of the roles Canadian developers and gamers play in the entertainment industry would be nice from the companies.

PS. Specifically, it would be great to have a conference telling us a firm date on when the video store is coming to Canada, that the Mass Effect series is coming to Playstation, and that game companies are going to revert back to the game pricing parity between US and Canada. It is a little unfair that other entertainment formats such as CD’s, DVDs and Blurays are nearly the same in both countries, but games average $20 more.

When I first saw the title I though Canada’s Premiers were showing up at Fan Expo. Premiers in Canada are the equivalent of state Governors in the USA.

Personally, I’d love to pwn McGuinty.

WOW dude…the USA is the one nation that is ALWAYS in receipt of the bonuses…for once other Countries are being included in the fun and along comes YOU to try and make it seem unfair.

What’s unfair is that you think you have the right to complain…you (USA) have much more than any other, so I suggest you think about that first prior to acting like you are so hard done by.

When are you finally going to “do more” in terms of contests like you promised two months ago?

Playstation.ca is still a joke and has no reason to exist. In the last two months its only been updated with 5 videos and that’s it.

The videos aren’t anything worthwhile either. They’re basically just that George Stroumboulopoulos Wannabe Chris asking developers softball questions pre-approved by the games PR team.
