For those that recall the God of War survey conducted earlier this year, an overwhelming amount of the community suggested the PlayStation 2 experiences of Kratos be brought forth to the PlayStation 3.
Thanks to your feedback, we are excited to announce the God of War Collection for this Holiday Season. Now fans and newcomers to the series can experience the epic journey of God of War and God of War II in 720p HD form. Both titles have been remastered with anti-aliased graphics, running at 60 frames per second for a smooth gameplay experience, only on the PS3 system. Additionally, the Blu-ray Disc compilation will bring the PlayStation Network (PSN) trophy support to the franchise for the very first time.
This is your chance to experience God of War is its true form before the chaos of God of War III hits store shelves come March 2010.

Scheduled for release this holiday season, God of War Collection will feature reworked versions of both God of War® and God of War® II on a single Blu-ray Disc™ at full 1280 x 720 resolution. Both critically acclaimed games, which were originally developed for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, have been remastered with anti-aliased graphics running at 60 frames per second for a smooth gameplay experience on the PS3 system. Additionally, the Blu-ray Disc compilation will bring PlayStation®Network (PSN) trophy support to the franchise for the first time (included for both games). God of War Collection offers substantial value to PS3 consumers, the compilation of both best-selling games costing just $39.99 MSRP.

God of War Storyline
Set in the dark world of ancient Greek mythology, players take on the role of Kratos, a Spartan warrior. Awesome… Now this company needs to Make Berserk when the manga finishes. Berserk is a game that derserves to come alive again and for the ps3 by this company.
Anybody who hasnt seen this anime go out and watch its great but too short. The manga will tell the rest of the story.
I agree with one of the earlier posters that The Last Guardian should get similar treatment for Ico and Shadow. Also, it should be 2 platinums for this title i thinks…

this is awesome, i have both games for my ps2, but my ps2 broke for some reason (worked for years i guess it was time) so i cant play them, so this is so cool plus trophy support and HD graphics an amazing buy, getting this right after ratchet and clank and prob uncharted 2, tho not sure 1st one was kinda bah… o_O but yeah ima have all three GoW games on one console!!!

Yes,that is a great thing that we get to play the demo. But the only this is, i purchased the game like 2 months ago. So its on hold till next year. So i have to buy the god of war collection just to play the demo? Think you also should have a demo by it self to. So we can play the demo without buying the collect. Just like you did with God of war 2.

If not for the fact that the 360 is a total pos and breaks down often, I’d have gone with that system over a overpriced PS3.

I guess me owning 3-5 PS1’s, 2-4 PS2’s and as of now 2 PS3’s isn’t enough money of mine in Sony’s grubby mitts to have them give EVERYONE access to the GOW3 demo at the SAME time.
I was just thinking a few weeks ago.. and i recon they should also put “God Of War – Chains or Olympus” in there cause then the hole story of “God Of War” would be on PS3 which would make every ones lifes soo easier.
