MAG Beta Test for Qore Subscribers Launching Thursday

Here’s an update about the status of the MAG Public Beta email vouchers. The first wave of voucher codes for the MAG Beta will be e-mailed to all current Qore subscribers beginning today and continuing over the next few days. Follow the instructions so that you’ll be ready to download the Beta and jump in when the test starts this Thursday, September 17. The email subject line will be:

“You’re in: Welcome to the MAG Beta”

And, the email voucher will look like this:

Remember, you only have 4 days left to get in on the action as the Public Beta entry deadline for Qore subscribers is this Thursday, September 17. Please allow at least 5 business days for delivery once you subscribe.

Qore subscribers will have access to the MAG Beta Test from September 17 through November 8. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 10am-1pm and 5-8pm Pacific (PDT).

Once again, here are the eligibility requirements:

  • The Qore MAG Beta offer is open to Qore subscribers only, not to single episode purchasers.
  • All Beta invitations are restricted to persons 18 years and older.
  • We must have your current, valid e-mail address on file.
  • You must be opted in to receiving communications from PlayStation.
  • Vouchers will be sent to the e-mail associated with the PSN account that purchased the Qore subscription, not to any sub-accounts.

You can update your e-mail address and check your notification preferences via your profile on PS.com or on the PS3 itself under Account Management/Account Information. Be sure that you have “opted in” to receive our communications.

We hope you enjoy the MAG Beta, and don’t forget to leave your feedback at Beta Central by following the instructions in the voucher e-mail. As this is a Beta is a work-in-progress and not representative of the final game, your input is vital.

  • I do not believe your friends are playing at the moment you wrote that comment. I was told in my code email that the beta play times will be 1p.m. – 4p.m. EST and 8p.m.-11p.m.EST. If they told you they were playing at that time I think they were yanking your chain. If I am correct by what I have seen in my email and when registering, only Raven and Valor will be available for play during this beta. If I am wrong please feel free to correct me.

  • Is there a way to get the email beta sent again. I signed up for yearly qore, but I forgot to change my account settings to “opted-in” b/c I didn’t realize it was to allow the promotional partners access as well. thanks in advance

  • I agree with some of the other posts. The evening hours are a joke. I will be lucky if I get 30 minutes in here and there. I would try to extend the evening hours so that more people can play. The chances of me getting to play in the morning are close to 0%.

  • I´m a qore subscriber since August 2009 and did not receive the MAG beta code yet.

    And yes my email associated with my subscription is current and i have opted in to receive message from Playstation. (i checked both boxes!)

  • Am already disapointed,upset,mad,furious….two more hours for the MAG Beta to start,I have no code,and after today I could care less if I receive it or not….I feel I was misled by whoever is running this…..the poster clearly stated;buy the subscription before or on September 17th,participate in the MAG Beta…what you forgot to mention was that it could be any time, it could be the 17th as it could be the 30th or who knows maybe it could strech as far as October without a CODE,I Feel left out.

  • I got the Beta downloaded and updated and installed. but i cant seem to connect to the server. when is it online in eastern time.

  • Your time choices suck, why not have a later playtime past 8pm? Why not leave the servers on over night for the normal people that work durring the day?

  • i hope you guys are still replying to this blog as i have a question which i hope you will answere. as you may have noticed it is now the 17th of september and i have not recieved the beta. i do understand that the beta is only going to be available today but i am just concerned that i have yet to receive my beta. oh yah buy the way just incase u were wondering i have been a subscrber since june of this year so i am fairly receint to Qore. any way could u please let me know whats up thanks

  • I am a Qore subscriber and received my code Tuesday. I tried my code this morning and it worked. I have already downloaded MAG just waiting to get off work to play!! They are saying that the code are coming in waves throughout the next couple of days. I am sure you will get your codes. If you just recently subscribed it says to wait at least five days for the voucher to be sent out.

  • Ok people, i believe the waves started at 6pm central time, i received mine the first day they stated handing them out at about 8 oclock pm. it will take up to 5 days so just be patient, if you bought qore for this reason only to participate in the beta you deserve to wait. its last til october for christ sake, Patience is a virtue. So glad i got my subscription back in march.

  • I don’t believe that they have given those exact details out about the time and dates the email vouchers are sent out. I just read from earlier that is how the emails were being sent out. It could be alphabetical, birth date, age, or weight who knows.

  • you guys are really going to be mad once you get it anyway, cause you have to receive the updates from their servers and its taking forever. 2gb+ and everyones d/ling at once you wont be able to play the first day if you have an average internet connection. i get 15mbps and have been d/ling since 9:30am central and am only at 8% due to the amount of people d/ling at once

  • im updating Mag i got 2gigs to download i hope they dont turn off the server if they do ill never get to play unless all they do is turn off the game perse not the updating server… :(

    a long time a go I didnt receive news and anything to my e-mail, now Bought the annual Qore to have a MAG beta code and nothing, no e-mail sent.

  • I’m not very happy myself. I try to support Sony, and I’ve been very patient with not receiving any notifications for a very long time.

    Now, I have been a Qore subscriber since November of last year, and I have missed out on every single beta invitation, including this MAG beta due to Sony’s issues that have been left broken.

    If you are having a problem with specific e-mail servers, please inform us so that we know if we should change the e-mail we are using.

  • jesus christ…just because u dont have one yet doesnt mean your NOT getting one. they will be sending emails out for a few days still.you cant just expect them to send everyones asap. its understandable u guys want to play but the friggin beta is til october and if you preorder the game its goes even longer for those who do so you will get ur chance eventually

  • agree with 338, i have my code already but i am still waiting for my second one (for my friend which i sold to for 5 bucks) but i cant imagine how many ppl are trying to get the beta, im pretty sure they are trying to get em out to everyone.

    You said we’d still get a M.A.G Beta code, if september was our last month from Qore. I’m opted in to receive messages but still nothing… & Yes i will resubsribe when i am allowed to next month. :) I just really want to play, i’m really looking forward to it & i’m sure other people that haven’t gotten the codes, that are suppose to be on in the beta will be pretty dissapointed if they don’t get to participate as well. :(

  • The first wave of MAG Beta voucher codes was sent out a few days ago, with another wave coming this morning for more recent subscribers. Since the deadline for the promotion is today, there will be another wave of vouchers sent to last-minute subscribers. As mentioned earlier, please allow up to 5 *business* days from the date of your recent subscription to receive your voucher email. The Beta Test lasts through November, so you’ll have plenty of time to participate.

    As for those of you long-time subscribers complaining that you have yet to receive your code, we have checked our records and found that ~98% of you are indeed on the list and were sent a voucher…but either your email of record is invalid or you have opted out of communications. I will be responding to each of your posts individually, asking you to contact customer services for your voucher code.
