Most exciting news was a GoW 3 demo with the compilation. Please do the same with The Last Guardian! Ico and Shawdow of the Colossus remastered with trophies and a demo for Last Guardian! It would be epic! :) Great week for PlayStation!

Back in June Eric Lempel came her to the blog and promised more news ‘soon’ about a UMD to PSPgo transition service. It has now been over 3 months with no word. In the best interests of Sony and their customer service image I’d like to know, from Eric, what is going on.

I’d really like Eric to have a blog post up by say, Wednesday, to let us know what is happening on this front before I decide to buy a PSPgo (actually cancel my preorder) or iPod Touch on Oct 1. (See…if I can’t bring my UMDs to the new hardware it really doesn’t matter what I move too)

I stopped following that Greatest Hero contest on Gamespot the second I saw the weak lineup they had set up. Did you SEE what Mario went up against? Meanwhile, two iconic heroes, Kratos and Cloud (which you KNEW was going to happen), are matched up in the second (or was it third) round. The thing is a joke.

Now that you guys have proved that movement CAN be done with the new controller (thanks to Capcom and RE5), please let us know HOW. I’m seriously curious about this.

I hate to bring it to your attention (for a number of reasons), but it’s not going to happen. A recent announcement confirmed this, instead bringing in a “rewards program” where you can trade a UMD for three free downloadable games (or something like that). I suppose there were a few disappointments to go with the good this week.

“We’re in the midst of putting together a good will program. We’ll be unveiling that soon [because] we actually think there’s a significant group that will be upgrading from the 1000…In the past, we’ve seen a 20-25% trade-up factor, and I assume that’s going to be the case here. We’ve modeled that. So we’re looking at a good-will program—a short term good-will program that would continue for years afterward.”

That THERE is a promise of an upgrade program…Oct 1 is coming soon.

I’m getting a psp go to but I will probably just rebuy my umd games when they come out on the store.I have midnight club 3 on umd and it just came out for download so I will probably get that.

Ok so I agree about the last guardian compilation like god of war. collosus was my favorite game on the ps2 short of gta:San Andreas make it happen Sony. Also I need more info on how the motion controller will be used in future games all I see is people waving this thing around how can I cap a zombie in the head run away and turn around on the fly all with a motion controller I think it’s another attempt by Sony to throw out another product too early (ahem! BUZZ!!!!!!) looks like something that will eventually be used for kids and or psn games……speaking of psn games WTF is up with games like elephunk and tv game show I purchased them when the first came out and I still haven’t played a multi-player match talk about a waste of my time and money I’ll never get the online trophys!!!!

Hey has anyone noticed that Rockstar’s UMD Legacy PSP games that were added to the store on Thursday disappeared.They were Midnight Club 3, Midnight Club LA Remix, and Manhunt 2. I was going to buy MC3 too for my PSP Go since I have it and love it on my old PSP. I also tryed downloading the NBA 10 The Inside demo on my psp and it said the install failed. Also to delete trophy games that you have some trophies in that way if you can`t get 100% in it and your a completionist.

this have been a horrible week,no doubt about it .tgs came and went by and guess what nothing was revealed as new ips are concerned. the only thing they showed was a couple of trailers of games that we knew were coming out thanks to magazines like famitsu and dengeki.overall,both they keynote and media press conferences sucked big time. i guess tgs is a shadow of it former self….

Comments from Sony at E3 were pretty clear about the so called “Good will” program. It certainly sounded like a promise to me, and many others, including media who reported on it. It’s pretty likely that someone at Sony knew that this program was in trouble, even at E3– no publishers were even hinted at that were in support of the program, and had agreed to support this UMD to DL transfer process. That right there was a red flag. In hindsight, the PR person involved should have stuck to a short and simple “we’re looking into options” and thats that. Adding in the “short -term” program for “years to come” only added to the confusion.

Also, some further comment from Sony about fixes to the spam crowding our XMB, including the ticker and extra store icons would be much appreciated. There were plenty of unhappy customers commenting in the wake of FW 3.00. Shutting down the blog comments section, and then redirecting concerns to the discussion board could be construed by some as a lack of concern for customer feedback. Please clarify. Thanks.
