  • Sorry Sony I’m not impressed with the fact that not 1 PSP mini game was under 5 dollars I was under the impression that most PSP mini games were from 1.50 to 3 dollars it kinda defeats the purpose of paying for smaller games for the same price as most other network games some were even 10 dollars I think minis is a fail so far!

  • So the early update that means you guys release it anytime you want to on Thursday? However for this day is a special day because PSPgo is out already.

Anywho, where’s FFVIII? I’m waiting for that. Please release it on the PS Store.

  • WOW, that’s a shockingly great update.

Hopefully Europe will get something close!

  • LOL at some of these prices, halve the price on some of these games and maybe you’ll get a buy, and that’s only if I can make room for them, these games aren’t small and i don’t got enough room. Definitely not buying the PSP Go either.

  • wooooo! awesome!…it would of sucked to wait for GT after buying a psp~!…gj sony!

  • i thought beaterator was going to be playable on ps3

  • :O! What a great update! I’ll pick up the Brutal legend and Shift demos, and drool over the Watchmen clothes for awhile as I try and formulate a plan to get Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2, Arkham Asylum, NFS Shift and LittleBigPlanet for less than $150…this could be tricky.

  • Let the haters suffer.

  • Wow Square…out of all the games on your catalog you give us Thexeder Neo. Come on lol

  • I own a copy of Fallout 3 that I have not played yet. Now I am thinking of buying the game of the year edition because that will make the added content cheaper than purchasing the DLC through PSN.

In what universe does that make sense?

  • Omg huge update for the PS store it’s just amazing!!! God job guys.

  • where’s the nba2k10 demo???

  • can i just ask when does the UK update happen as i should get my psp go today?

  • Please get Medievil 2 up on the store now. Ive been wanting to play that again for so long now.

  • ohh wow, i see about 100 dollars worth of games i wanna download.

  • These prices are comical. PSP Minis are extremely overpriced. What even makes them ‘mini’? Who’s the marketing person behind this stuff?

Downloadable games should, as a rule, be at least $5 cheaper than retail discs. If you really wanted to push this system (and this concept), you should discount them heavily, and run weekly sales.

The NIS games are the only decently priced downloadable games I see. This ‘price parity with retail’ decision is one of the worst that I’ve ever heard of.

How about this, Sony: Give me a PSP Go 2, with a UMD drive. This way, I can pay less for games, and enjoy the giant library I already have. Sold, for $250!

It’s a pretty gadget, I’ll give you that. It’s just not pretty enough to make me burn my $400+ investment with my old PSP.

Also, downloading games off of PSN takes forever.

  • *********does anyone know!!********** can i just ask when does the UK update happen as i should get my psp go today?

  • PS Store is taking ageeees to load!

    Please sort it out..

  • Great update for PSP owners.

Not much to complain about on the PS3 side, either, except….

    WHERE ARE THE AVATARS?

In all seriousness, the premium avatars concept was probably the only good thing about firmware v3.00 that you guys psyched us up for. Here we are today, weeks in, and we still cannot make use of that feature. It’s not hard adding a couple images up for download and smacking a $0.50 price tag on them. I mean, seriously come on.

On a side note, you guys should really separate PS3 and PSP content on the PlayStation Store. Have a separate store or something, like next to ‘Game’ and ‘Video’, remove ‘Game’ and put ‘PS3’ and ‘PSP’. Not everybody who has a PS3 also owns a PSP. It makes navigation of the PlayStation Store quite a drag and when you see a game that looks interesting, you come to realize it’s a PSP game and not a PS3 game.

  • I said it before but will say it again.
You have to change the bag icon for the video store to another color. This will help the XMB not look over powered by one thing.

    Color for purchased items: red
    Color for Game Store: Blue
    Color for Video Store: Yellow
Color for What’s New section: light blue
Color for friends purchased games rated 3 stars or higher: green

Dull the colors so they are not over powering.

  • Nice! Thanks for the Shift Demo! :-)

  • What’s up with the mini’s pricing ?, Tetris as a ‘mini’ game @ that price is silly, if you really felt that $10 was the minimum you could of charged then you should of released it as a standard PSN title and kept the mini’s to a $5 cap, the the difference between minis and standard PSN titles when your charging that amount ?, at least keep the expensive titles seperate.

  • Every weekly update should come out first thing in the morning like this (better yet, content should be released throughout the week, rather than just on one day). Too bad there’s not a demo for DiggerHD, as I might buy that if I could try it first.

  • I want some of whatever Sony is smoking on that made them thing anything over 30$ for psp was a good idea. The pspGO is going to flop hard. You had a shot, if only you made it a phone or touch screen. Way to Sega it up Sony.

  • $9.99 for your Prince of Persia Revelations £15.99 for us what kind of conversion is that!

  • Is there any glimmer of hope that a gps attachment for the psp might be coming still??

  • Week by week and still no TRINE …

  • if digital copies are so much better, than why is persona and madden still 39.99? I thought digi copies save people money?

  • Pros: early update

Cons: no new avatars, no dynamic themes price reduction

  • What ever happen to Manhunt 2 and both midnight club for psp?

  • WHERE ARE THE PREMIUM AVATARS AND MORE DYNAMIC THEMES????

  • glad to see the timmy’s still bitching about trivial things such as 3.0 and how ohhh god horrid it is.

i wish they would either a)shut it or b)learn to program get a job, see how hard it is and shut up.

  • can someone from sony explain to us why the psp minis are nearly the same price as a high quality PSN downloadable game for the ps3?

    example:

Hero of Sparta for PSP MINI = $6.99

Hero of Sparta for iTouch/iPhone App = $.99

explain to me where the $6 is justified for this title?

  • I’m in Fallout 3 heaven. :)

  • Drop the price to 200$ and I’ll buy a bunch of those games. No way I’m paying nearly the price of a PS3, which is the top of the top about what it offers, for a portable console.

  • The prices for the LBP costumes are so crazy expensive and overpriced. Can you really justify spending $2 on a few Sackboy garments that won’t alter any gameplay, and won’t garner any special congratulatory comments or admiration from other fellow LBP players considering how non-interactive the community is? (as compared to HOME, for example).

    Just, wow.

  • I think I may be the only person really excited about Gex 3, the reviews at the time weren’t that great but it was one of my favorite PS1 games that I haven’t been able to find locally. Being a trophy whore is tough when good PS1 games like that and Um Jammer Lammy are eating my PSN wallet funds. Digger HD is still worth grabbing, Sony is making us broke, glad I don’t have a PSPgo.

Time to nitpick, Europe had Trine two weeks ago, seriously where is it? Importing EU PSN cards seems to be the way to go, add a currency converter to the PSN Sony, I’d spend money on the Jap and EU stores if we didn’t have to pay a middleman a fee for foreign cards, you know people use the other stores, I would easily drop at least 100 bucks on those two stores if I didn’t have to import cards.

  • Oh noes! You should have kept with the usual update schedule, now the masses will expect the update every wednesday night/thursday morning! :P Anyway great update!

  • Don’t you guys think that the prices for the digital copies of games like Madden should be less than what it is on UMD?? I know that it’s cheaper to distribute the digital copies (no cases, manuals, shipping, etc.). This savings should be passed on to the gamers!

  • Hopefully you release more PSP games as the weeks go by <3

  • @anticulture

Even 5$ lower the retail value should be considered too much. No only do they save the cost of shipping, the media itself, the printing of the media and the box, (that alone isn’t much) but they also save the share that retailers take for themselves when they sell you a game. Anyways, people buying a PSP Go right now are either rich or fanboys, so they could charge them the price of a PS3 games and they’ll still rebuy the games they already own.

Down get me wrong. I love gaming and make enough money to buy any games or consoles I want when I want. But I’m a smart customer and when I consider all the other alternatives and their price, I find the PSP Go way behind, even behind it’s older brother, and that’s wrong. The PSP Go should do on customers what the PS3 Slim did. Make those who don’t have a PS3 rush in to get one and even those who have one consider about buying another! For the PSP Go, it’s totally the opposite. Those who have one will consider it an expensive upgrade that cannot play their old games and those who don’t have one will find it pretty expensive for what it offers, especially considering the Slim’s price.

  • The store should be updated this early every Thursday! Better yet the store should be updated when content is available not just Thursday.

Also where is Trine? It’s clearly ready to go.

PSP minis, WHAT IS WITH THOSE PRICES?
DO they have demo’s because those minis are TOO expensive for an impulse buy.

Tetris $9.99 are you serious? Please tell me that was a typo.

  • @176 kKrySh12

Yeah and they have a ton of restrictions on them. No network, no peripheral support.

PSP minis prices need reworked for sure!

  • where are these games? By the way, I am excited about to transfer a psp compatabile digital from any blurary movie using the ps3. good idea.

P.S.- release your updates every wednesday at midnight from now on, its much better than waiting for a random time between 4-7 PM EST

  • its a shame that it took almost 3 years for the store to update early in the morning (like it should be)… to bad its only because of the psp go launch, next thursday we’ll continue our “game” of “Guess at what time the store will update”.

  • I was expecting minis to be priced at itunes prices, $1 to $3 at most. At $5 i’d rather get a ps1 game

  • will the US store be receiving a free Dynamic theme?

  • Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I hope someone in Sony will see this request and do something.

I use two different networks at home, and constantly switch between the two network settings.
The problem is, unlike in windows where both settings are already saved and you can quickly switch from one another, in the PS3 I have to create each setting every single time, while deleting the last setting.
It’s a lot of pain having to re-enter all the values and passwords again all the time.

So please, consider this request and add an option to save many network settings and allow to quickly switch between them.
It can also be useful when I take the PS3 to my friends. And also for kids with divorsed
parents who carry their PS3 from the mom’s house to the dad’s.

  • @selfescape

I’m actually excited that Gex 3 came out also, I only played the second one (Enter the Gecko) and loved that game…now i can finally play the third one!
