I bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PS3 yesterday and couldn’t wait to get home to begin playing. I enjoyed part one so much that I just had to get my hands on the sequel. To my surprise, after reaching the first save point the game froze! I updated to the v3.01 fireware in hopes that it would resolve the issue. I got to the first Boss which is this huge statue and began tearing it apart with the dragon sword. Just when I was about to strike the last blow, the game froze again! Could you believe it? I felt like throwing my system through the window. FRUSTATING!!

At one point after restarting my system gave me a message stating that I must format my HDD and refused to cancel or exit the message. At that point I gave in and started formatting knowing that all my data would be deleted. Two years worth of game save data down the drain. Would you believe after all that the game still freezes. Not only does it freeze but the entire system becomes unresponsive. I’ve tried other games and DVD’s which play reasonably well. WHAT’S THE FIX!!!! I heard that other games like Uncharted were giving similar problems.

I realize the update was done early for the PSP launch. But why can we have this every week? It seem a shame that it can’t updae in the morning.

Brutal Legend Demo it is. Even though I played for 10 minutes at PAX, my mind isn’t made up yet.

I’m 50/50 on Umm Jammy Lammy. At least you didn’t hike the price to $10.

Well…my buddy and i were planning to each buy a PSP Go this morning, thanks for the early PSN store update blog which made us realize ***NOT*** to purchase the PSP Go after seeing how some of these games are way overpriced. Personally i’ll look into a PSP Go next year around this time, hopefully Sony will get their act together by then.
Sorry Sony, but No Sale from me. I’ll just stick with my PS3.

I also want to make a note that i will no longer be purchasing TRINE, the money i had saved for Trine will be going into Fallout 3 DLC. You snooze you lose!!

No lumines or dissidia, FF1/2 or crisis core, the only game on the new list that I have a version of is Monster Hunter(1),and I planned on buying unite.

I REALLY Don’t care about the price of the games… Just get them on there! I’m the kind of guy who wastes PLENTY of money on this kind of stuff, I just like buying it new to help out- but I really want to play the games I have..The no already-own download program being cancelled for the US and the paltry offering for Europe is kind of a kick in the face..

You said you didnt add a second analog as to not split the market, and I respect that. However, you did split the market by not offering the same content on both platforms- right now content-wise the PSP3000 is a better value..

I really do want a go.The white one matches my launchday white Vaio P, and goes great with my mobile platform. However,I need my games…Seriously.

I’ve got $400 ready to plop down on new content when what I want does arrive.
Till then, I’ll be playing my $600 60gb launch Ps3.

Nice update.. Please balance the platforms.

Amazing. Sony throws down the largest content update TO DATE, and people start whining up and down about anything possible.

Enjoy. If the prices aren’t to your liking, then don’t buy. Also realize that there are a lot of dynamics that go into pricing PSP Go content that you’re not aware of, especially when it comes to previously UMD-based PSP games.

That being said, I hope other publishers take NIS’ lead and occasionally offer sales and/or price drops to help better coincide with the retail market and gamers’ demands for titles.

I heard Trine was finished and it’s held back right now by Sony. What gives? Do you want this game smothered by Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend and the eventual snowball of games coming this holiday season. If it’s not released by the time Uncharted comes out, I will not buy this game. It’s getting ridiculous. EU has it for two weeks already.

Altogether, weak update IMHO. I have no PSP (without trophies, I don’t plan on ever even using either of the 2 unused psp’s in my house) and nothing much for the ps3.

Uno? C’mon… Uno? Maybe if I as 5 yrs old again…

Anyway, you get none of my money this week Sony. To be honest, I’d rather you did these types of updates more regularly. You usually get $10-20/week out of me. Please keep it up so I can continue to save!

WOW!
Grace Chen, Can I have your number? I want to make Sweet, Sweet, Love to you!

This update is truly history making! First, you start of with an early morning update. Then, you give us content, out the Wazoo! My only grip is with the the NIS games. The price was suppose to be $10 and under.
What happen? Also, No new PSP game should cost more than its retail counterpart.

Those are my only issues.

We could still “knock boots” though :)

In case you haven’t noticed Sony we need Ah-Vah-tars,AVATARS!!!!!!!!!!! Damn is it really that hard to but picture on the store. People make it within a week and so called “professionals” can’t make it in 2 years. Good job guys
