Potential winner must comply with the Official Rules’ terms and conditions, and receipt of the prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person owning, controlling or assigned the email address associated with the PlayStation Network used to enter the Promotion. Sponsor may require the potential winner to prove he or she is the authorized account holder, and Sponsor has the sole and absolute discretion in determining who is the authorized account holder for the purposes of awarding Promotion prizes.

The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the prize is $300.00. Prize fulfillment is based on availability. Sponsor has the sole and absolute discretion to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize is unavailable. If a prize is returned to Sponsor as undeliverable, Sponsor has the sole and absolute discretion to disqualify a winning Entrant and select an alternate winner. If a winning Entrant is a minor, then Sponsor will award the prize to that Entrant’s parent or legal guardian. Prizes are non-transferable, and Sponsor need not substitute a prize based on winner’s request. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of the prize.

9. Odds of Winning. Odds of winning are determined by the number of eligible entries received.

10. Publicity. By accepting a prize, a winning Entrant agrees to the use of his or her name and likeness for purposes of advertising, trade or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law, and agrees, if required, to sign and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability (the “Affidavit”) within a period that Sponsor specifies.

11. Limitations of Liability. 13. Collection of Information. Information collected in connection with the Promotion will be collected in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy, available at http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/PrivacyPolicy. I played about 6 rounds this mourning to make sure I was in. Gonna be playing more tonight and tomorrow.
With over 13000 people online. I have a very slim chance of getting this.
I would love nothing more than winning this, but I know I’m not going to. Doesn’t hurt to try though.

I’ve been playing the uncharted Beta since inFamous was released with the uncharted beta code. Then I got the Public beta. I’ve been playing it to death. I can’t wait for Uncharted 2!

Sweet deal here! Going online now, as usual :P Can’t wait for the 13th! 3 more days baby!

does anyone know if the full game will have the ability to choose the specific game type and map that we want? ex. temple sniper and pistole, instead of just going “deathmatch”

Already got my free copy last Tuesday at the UC2 Cinema Event in San Francisco. I’m near the end of the single-player campaign. But I wasn’t one of the lucky ones who won the FH Edition. Hopefully I can win one through this contest. I’ll just have to put off finishing the game tonight, and play some Multiplayer Beta so I can get my entry in.

Judging from the box, it seems to be some kind of art booklet, something I would sure consider buying if it was in stores! Oh well, I guess I have to try my best winning one of those. But don’t worry, I have found yet another way to pick up one of these editions. I sure hope it comes with some amazing detail inside the very minute you open it. This must be some kind of collectors edition worth keeping and showing off to the rest of the world. Uncharted Drakes Fortune used to be a very great game and the second one should be even better… god I sure hope I try my best at winning this sweet prize!!!
Good luck to you all!

I hate to say it but multiplayer sux so far. If you are not leveled up enough, you can stand there and fire clips into another player, and they fire like 3 shots and you are dead. Cant believe you took the strategy of Uncharted and made it into some stupid Halo type game that monkeys could do! What is the point in running around as fast as you can in a SMALL area to achieve a certain goal and THATS IT? Oh, forgot – sometimes you have to throw a treasure up on a ledge – WOOHOO, break out the party hats.

I will be buying the game when it comes out, unless I am lucky enough to win a copy, but multiplayer is a bust – run and shoot. It is sad when game developers have to dumb down games just so more people will understand how to play. Where is the strategy of finding a nice hiding spot and lying in wait for your enemy? You cant! You have to just run like an idiot to accomplish your goals.

Oh well – I love Uncharted 1 and will probably love the gameplay in Uncharted 2, so at least there is that.

Oh and when people let there 12 year olds play a game, you might want to watch them since they think swearing at everything and anything is just soooooo cool, even when they have no clue what they are saying – *sigh*

I’m very concerned that I haven’t been entered into the weekend contest, as NaughtyDog stats still do not show that I have ever played a game — I’m always listed as “Error Retrieving Statistics” along with “No games played”. Frustrating to say the least…

I also believe NaughtyDog’s marketing department made a large error in judgment by rendering the Fortune Hunter Edition essentially impossible to obtain through mortal — or legit — means.

It’s true there are far too many Collector’s Edition titles released these days, most of which seem barely qualified to called such.

However, UNCHARTED 2 has broken that trend: first and foremost by being a game of incredible potential and quality, but also through their stunningly-designed Fortune Hunter Edition. This outstanding package is one of the very few titles released in a long time that is truly worthy of the “Collector’s Edition” banner… and is well worth whatever retail price NaughtyDog would have asked from us.

Instead, they’ve risked alienating many gamers (and obviously HAVE) because of this reversal in marketing practices.

[cont. from Post #292]

On the one hand, I do understand their reasoning behind this arragement… but as a gamer and collector, I am extremely disappointed. NaughtyDog could have instead easily satisfied the entire gaming populace by creating two similar (yet very distinct) CE’s:

• Fortune Hunter Edition — The existing Fortune Hunter Edition should have been made available to pre-order retail customers only (as a limited series of several thousand copies) — the only change being that it wouldn’t include the real NaughtyDog autographs (perhaps it could have included printed copies instead).

• Fortune Hunter Deluxe Limited Edition — In addition, a superior Deluxe Limited Edition package should have been created (with the run of only 200 copies) for contests and the like. As an example, this could have included packaging consisting of a real wooden box or leather-bound book (both “antiqued” to give it that old look) rather than cardboard/cardstock; the Phurba Dagger could have included a real stone or wooden base (and have a limited number imprint); etc.

Ah well, I guess this is just wishful think on my (our?) behalf. Good luck to all and congratulations in advance to whomever win a copy!
