Portland Fans Go Crazy for Brandon Roy at the NBA 10: THE INSIDE Launch Event

Eric Levine's Avatar + Posted by Eric Levine on Oct 13, 2009 // SCEA PR Manager

Hoops fans,

I’d like to thank everyone that came out to our NBA 10: THE INSIDE launch event this past Saturday with special guest and cover athlete, Brandon Roy. The Trail Blazers faithful certainly did not disappoint, showing up in full force with many arriving hours before to guarantee some face time with the All-Star guard. For more than an hour and a half, Brandon signed autographs, took pictures and chatted with the hundreds of fans that attended. But the highlight definitely came when he played a little one-on-one with a lucky fan, our raffle winner, 10-yr old Kyle Martini, who got to play a game of NBA 10: THE INSIDE with the NBA superstar…SCORE!

Thanks again for supporting NBA 10: THE INSIDE! Here a few pics from Saturday’s party:

The little guy gave Brandon a good run and the game actually ended in a tie.

I was there and BRoy is awesome. Staying extra to make sure that everyone got an autograph (at least from the cutoff point) even though he signed longer than scheduled. True All-Star.

Nice that Brandon Roy will have his own special game to play while he sits home and watches the Lakers repeat as NBA champs.

So awesome. So incredibly awesome. Thanks for putting this on! Gotta hand it to Brandon; he truly is a star that doesn’t have an inflated ego.

A quick question that i hope i can get the answer to. Are they playing a PSP version of the game hooked up to large TVs, or is there some functionality that’s allowing them to play the PS3 version using the PSP???

This is in regards to the last picture. They are clearly holding PSPs, but not looking at the PSPs.

Gotta love the Laker “fans”, they’ll derail everything nba related that doesn’t have anything to do with them, GO BLAZERS

I love the Lakers and am thrilled for them–and looking for them to repeat, but I believe in respect–and I respect Brandon Roy because he’s a true baller and he’s got skills and heart to go far in this league. Rudy Fernandez is sick at times, too! Blazers have a good team. I love watching Lebron, too–he is a man among men. Rip Hamilton is a freakin stud, too. I of course love Kobe and the Lake show the most–those are my boys–and I expect another title–but why can’t we just give respect where respect is due? Oh guess what–we can. :)

Man he beat the rockets on the first game
dont worry, when they play in houston it will be all rockets…
Oh yeah and those refs sucked at that game! Bad calls both ways in the 1st quarter but in the later quarters they started all going to the blazers… a 2 pointed called a 3 pointer, tons of missed fouls, a flagrant as a regular, goaltending and all that…

+ MooseDog_00 on October 28th, 2009 at 4:03 pm said:

EDIT it was when lowry got run over and it was just a reg charge, that was bad
and yes I know the calls were going both ways but the important game changing ones were in portlands favor
