I recall hearing not too long ago that there would be footage of the upgraded GoW1 & 2 saga soon(i dunno if in form of screen shots or video, either would be great). Any chance we’ll be seeing anything like that soon? I would really like to see how its gonna look.

Hey Jeff has there been much of a demand for In Game XMB for PSOne titles?

It’s really annoying to get messages/invites from my friends and not being able to respond while I’m playing FF7. I know PS2 titles are a bit of a lost cause to ask for the same treatment, but I’d like this on those games as well.

Sweet, I’ve been playing Demon’s Souls like crazy. Amazing game that one is, and very challenging, but not cheaply difficult.

I just beat World 2 and I’m working on world 4 at the moment. Going to test out the katana I just got.

Jeff, I’ve only got World 5 left for Demon’s Souls, but I hope you like rage-quitting. Especially in 2-2, 4-2, 3-1. The rest are not nearly as infuriating. Oh, and 1-4. Try and save that one for last, the boss is a beast. Or have someone with you to run aggro.

Jeff, think you can have the web team look into the PSN friends list which is viewable from “My Account” on us.playstation.com? For some reason (for quite a while now) I can never get the full friends list to load in when I’m using Firefox v3.5.3.

Hey Jeff have you played Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 on Master Ninja difficulty. If you have can you tell me how to pass Chapter 5. I’m currently stuck at level 5 with Momiji. How do you put only 2 save points in a level. -_-

This has been the year of games turning out better than I expected. I knew UIIHAM was going to be good but I had no idea it was going to be this good. Even more so with MAG. I was very skeptical at when I first saw the previews but now being in the BETA it really is an amazing game.

Hey Jeff, I’ve been a long time reader of the PS blog and this is the first time I’m commenting.

For a while now, I’ve read nothing but complaints about firmware 3.00. so I was feeling a bit smug for not being connected to the internet for a bit while all the “bugs” were fixed. Well 3.01 came out and still nothing but rants about the new boot up music, bigger font and blahblahblah. Well, in anticipation for Uncharted 2, I decided to boot up Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and try to get all the trophies but remembered I lost my old save file and I never got the trophy patch. To my [temporary] dismay, I was forced to update the firmware before I could do anything else.

I just wanted to say that there is NOTHING wrong with any of the changes. I didn’t even notice the bigger font. Based on the way the PSblog “readers” tearfully commented, I thought the font was so big, it jumped out of the screen and proceeded to be responsible for the deaths of their parents. It’s actually more visually pleasing in my opinion [although it could just be the LBP dynamic theme in the bg]. I just wanted to thank all of you at Sony who are working hard on giving us these changes for free.

Also, I sincerely hope the rumors of “a certain giant developer” holding back Cross Game Chat and responsible for the undermining custom soundtracks aren’t true. I’d hate for you guys to work so hard on making these features only to get sand shoved in your face.

pwnappetit, as someone affected by the 3.01 update (my PS3 no longer plays PS3 or Blu-Ray discs) there are issues with the latest update. But nothing that $150 apparently won’t fix

Good to hear you haven’t quit before beating the first level like so many people. I’m around level 60 and really enjoying this game, definitely a game of the year candidate. Make sure to at least get to level 3-3 before quitting to play Uncharted 2 when it comes out. It has one of the best boss battles of any game ever! Super epic, I don’t wanna ruin the surprise.

Demons Souls is just awesome! It is so addictive lol more you play more you cant stop playing.
I made it bought to a lot of people on my friend list who asked me how this game was.. they went to the store and told me it was sold out lol. Some got it and some bought it online.

Hey jeff i don’t know if you’re aware but Demon’s Souls is really REALLY scarce. No store in the Eugene area (second or third largest city in oregon) has it. The closest store that has it in stock is gamestop in salem which is over an hour drive. What’s up with that?

Just got my PS3 back from service for the second time ($300 in repairs) only to find that I was sent a totally new unit and all the data on my 500 GB hard drive will be wiped as I must reformat for a new machine. I will lose my copy-protected gamesaves for LBP, RE5, Skate 2, and many others. A phone rep told me about a cable I could order to get the data off of my SATA HD and then transfer it to the PS3 via external HD. I got the $20 cable and now I need to go spend another $100-$150 on an external HD to hold all of this data. If someone’s system needs repairs (especially for a second time!) it would be appreciated if their original system was repaired and returned, even if it takes a little longer. I know personal data has no real value, but the time I spent creating these copy-protected save files and now the time I have to spend transferring all of this data (not to mention the extra $ that this is going to cost me) has definite value to me. Glad to have a new machine that works, pissed that I have to start over in so many titles, and broke from repair costs and having to purchase items to get just some of my data back. Thanks, Sony.
