SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 Competitive Multiplayer Features Unveiled

33 0

Today, we’re very excited to unveil the competitive multiplayer features for SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 for PSP. Continuing in the franchise’s tradition of unparalleled multiplayer gaming, SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 raises the bar on mobile multiplayer gaming.

Compete in 16-player competitive multiplayer across eight custom maps and through seven new game modes, each with different objectives. A brand new ‘Leader Mode’ lets players designate a squad leader and spawn beside them to help progress to the objective points. Additionally, a new ‘Tug-of-War’ mode, allows players to drain points from their enemies to collect tickets.

Play locally in Ad Hoc mode, or with friends from around the world in infrastructure mode. When played in infrastructure mode, competitive multiplayer supports a number of expanded online community features including tournaments, clan challenges and ladders, voice chat and character customization.

  • Holy Crap! 16 players on a handheld that’s impressive. Consider me sold.

  • So when does 1.60 come out? I would really like to play those new maps.

  • WOW!! Looks pretty solid for a psp shooter! nice!

  • Mark please ask the PS3 socom team to hurry up and fix confrontation so that we can play blizzard!

  • Wow, I can’t wait to play this! Should we (PSP GO owners) expect to be able to download this on day one? I sure hope so!

  • @1

Not really impressive considering that Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 had 16 players too

  • ok..great news for psp owners..like me..but what we SOCOM FANS really want to know about is the COLDFRONT RELEASE DATE!! GET WITH THE PROGRAM SLANT6..:p

  • oh and just because i like to put my two cents…SOCOM WOULD’VE BIN JUST AS SUCSESSFULL AS CoDMW2, IF WE TOO HAD A CO-OP CAMPAIGN AND VIECHLES!..SERIOUSLY..THIS GAME DID NOT NEED TO REWIND THE GAMEPLAY ALL OVER AGAIN WITH THE SOCOM 2 STYLE….IT SHOULD BE MOVING FORWARD!!

  • S:C 1.60 and DLC please. Finish what you start before trying to shove this junk down our throats.

  • i have a sugesstion, how about real team co-op in story mode missions.. Im glad thi coming out and hope it does well, the 1st real game from slant 6.. ima pick it up.. oh will this be digital download?? and physical copy

  • More portable Pwning, love it!

  • Would never buy another Sos*ck game. Been burned once but never again.

If you buy this game you then no QQ’ing when its total junk.

  • YAY!!im a get it on release

  • I’m excited but I’m still waiting for the confrontation dlc. I hope we don’t get like 30 videos showing every gun in the game.

  • come on people ill buy this when it has vehicles and huge plantable explosives
    in story and multiplayer modes

  • Looks great, very impressive.

  • …i need this… immediatly, tell me when?

  • socom killer!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah! News!

  • Cool. I played this at the PS.Blog meetup back in June, and even then it was solid.

  • @8 nYcFrEeWiLL82

Yeah f’ing right! CODMW2 sold 5 million copies in the UK and US, that beats GTAIV…you honestly believe SOCOM could pull in those numbers? Get real.
Confrontation is one of the worst games out on PS3, to think that could be as successful as Call of Duty is a joke.

  • Very indeed nice!!!!

  • WHY SONY!!!
WHY GIVE IT TO SLANT SIX, THEY KILLED the game.
    SOCOM
Fireteam Bravo 2 had better graphics, it still had 16 players online.
Give Socom back to Zipper Interactive,
    FIRE SLANT SIX!

  • I lol’d when I saw the screenshots how the kills in the upper left are both color coded and show a picture of the weapon for easy reading. Whats funny about this is Socom for PS3 can’t even do this.

If only Zipper made Socom for PS3. Would have been one of the best shooters ever…

  • Is there going to be ad-hoc coop for the campaign mode?

  • Listen up Sony…Tell Slant Six to go back and play Socom Combined Assault to see what Socom is really all about. I remember there used to be 30,000 people online for ps2 and now that we are playing an “upgraded version” the servers barely are at 10,000 on weekends. Also for an online only game no dlc at all has to be considered a failure. Even though Confrontation looks good the ps2 versions own this game. I’ve been a Socom Fanatic since 2003. Sorry for the rant but people are are fed up with the broken promises.

  • hold on are you guys saying it will be online like a ps3 title omg please say yes

Edit: Just bought MW2 no need to wait for stuff that will never come.

  • niiice. is this infrastructure or ad hoc? cause the last one had ad hoc not infrastructure so quit complaining ppl!

  • To all my Confrontation players: We have to boycott any further releases from Slant 6. If they cant support their previous game don’t be stupid and support FTB3. If they have to go out of business so be it. Once we speak with our wallets these developers will have to start putting out quality titles and not broken titles and then try to push some more crap down our throats. Power to the players.

  • I cant wait!!
