Hello PlayStation Community!

This is Marcello Lagosh, part of the marketing team at Hudson Entertainment. I am pleased to announce an event of EPIC MADNESS! Members of Hudson Entertainment, Backbone Entertainment and VGEVO.com are forming Voltron to challenge all of you to a fun night of Military Madness: Nectaris on the PlayStation Network. We will be hosting 4-player versus matches over the PlayStation Network tomorrow, Friday, November 20th, from 5pm PT/8pm ET to 7pm PT/10pm ET.

Sounds awesome, right? This madness has yet to begin!

If you come in first place in an online match with one of the people below, you will win a Military Madness: Nectaris Dog Tag. Only a few of these were made and are numbered for authenticity. To receive the Military Madness: Nectaris Dog Tag, send a PSN message with your email to the game host (their PSN IDs are below) for the match you placed first in. They will send us your email and then we will contact you for your shipping information. It’s that simple. Every person on the list below will be running their own online match so be sure to search the Friendly Match section of Multiplayer to find us. Just a reminder, we are shipping these tags to gamers in North America only.

If you don’t already have Military Madness: Nectaris yet, the full game is on the PlayStation Store right now for only $9.99. Finally, to stay up to date with this event, look for updates in the comment section of this post and @HudsonEnt on Twitter.

So let’s review. You can play an updated classic in 1080p against the people that made it and the gamers that love it, then win rare item for beating them. “THIS IS MADNESS!!!” you may say to yourself. No, it’s not madness. This is how we do things at Hudson Entertainment. We are all about having fun and doing something special for all the gamers out there. So get ready for the reign of MADNESS that will descend upon the PlayStation Network tomorrow night.

    This is very cool. More developers should do these game nights to win prizes. It gives people an incentive to buy their games.

    This is a really fantastic idea, more game companies should do this.

    It’s basically free marketing, and you’re getting feedback on what’s great or not so great, so you know exactly what people want from a game.

    Hope this idea really catches on.

    I wish that I could join-in, but I’ll be at a LAN party that night (and the rest of the weekend.) Good luck to everyone participating, the Dog Tags are pretty sweet too :-)

    Speaking of UC…still need to finish watching ZZ Gundam..oh right this is about Military Madness…ahem.

    Isn’t this the same dumb website that’s doing the Socom Q&A? Count me out, this whole event seems more like a shameless plug for a PS3 fanboy site than an event where you get to play with the developer/publisher. I mean seriously, at a 15:4 ratio – who do you think this event is really for.

    Usually the PS Blog has pretty cool events, but this one seems like an excuse.

    congrats sony, another faulty firmware. i keep trying to sync my trophies but i cant, so that means i cant change the color of my gamertag thing either.

    and the TV stuff? you cant get rid of it! i live in spain but i dont watch spanish tv! i dont even watch ANY television shows on my tv. common sony, was that just to advertise the channels? after all, they are just links to websites!

    Sounds like fun! Now just add some DTS sound to the game to accompany the 1080p graphics and you got a sold product! Or put it on BluRay disc, add uncompressed PCM in 7.1 and sell it to me for $39.95! :) I would happily buy that.

    I love Hudson Soft, and been supporting them since the NES/PC Engine days. Just give me some love and give the game some attention.

    I bought Military Madness on my TurboGrafX 16 for like $69.95 back in the day… Then bought Neo Nectaris for $79.95 a few years after from TZD.

    I am willing to easily pay $39.95 for this great classic on a BluRay disc with manual and case.

    Please take into consideration those of us who still want to buy a physical medium.

    Military Madness is a game that is deserving of special treatment. If you absolutely refuse to put it on a disc, then please at least try to get the sound in DTS or PCM for the fans that love the game! We really would appreciate it! This game is a CLASSIC!

    Damn Gundam Senki…still holding onto hope Namco Bandai will localize it, else it’s off to importing it!(am dissapointed there’s no slicing/blowing off heads & limbs like in Crossfire but ah well)

    Oh yea tried adding you but your friend list was full, if you ever have a free spot, should send me one.

    Now just don’t go dropping colonies on anyone if *cough when* you’re about to lose on Friday night lol.

It still doesn’t change the fact you’re one of those VGEVO freaks, and this is more of a vgevo event than a real event with devs instead of stuck up podcasters like yourself.
