    Well, Canadians don’t have the NetFlix option either. Nor Hulu, nor most of the others options. It would be nice if the PSN video store came here.

    I have been asking you this for over a year…off and on…for once time it was weekly for 4 mos straight.

    Since you will not comment on a fix to the DRM situation (where all your bought content goes POOF if your machine breaks) perhaps you could do some customer service and actually write a blog post about what you can and cannot do with Video content. (It has been done in the past, not very clearly I will ad, but you do have a huge amount of new customers lately)

    Many people think the backup function will rescue you from a borked machine. It emphatically does not yet the perception is out there.

    Please do your customers, who continue to support you and your company, the favour of CLEARY stating what some of us are painfully aware of.

    : If you buy video content and your system goes in for repairs you will lose your video content and the SONY Terms of Service state that SONY is under absolutely no obligation to assist recovering what may be hundreds of dollars worth of content. The backup function does not help this situation one iota :

    hey Grace i have just seen the official sony statement on the new online service hitting early next year , i hope psn is included on that service and the video section too , i would gladly pay a subscription fee for the service if movies and music is included , i think your service offer better movies than Netflix ( which only have a couple of hi def movies ) but you guys need to make it a subscription based service , its very nice to hear that sony is finally flexing its muscle in the entertainment industry as a whole , i just hope psn (online gaming) stays free

    Love the trailers, more please! Avatar HD version & Star Trek trailer please. Also more anime. Please allow users to redownload their movies, PS3’s don’t last forever. I would buy a ton of video content if I could redownload it to my PSN account.

    I think the Netflix service needs some word.. Its not very easy navigating the relatively limited choices of movies and TV shows… Like, i see Heroes season 4, but what about the first 3 seasons.. A-Team season 1, but the rest of the seasons? no anime? no Discovery Channel or other such specialized shows? MythBusters? i’d like more, and I can’t see why they wouldnt offer a bigger selection.. And not that many new releases on the instant streaming part of the service.. Im giving it a trial… and im a little unimpressed.. If Sony had a similar such service with their online selection, id go with that.. like $10-15 a month to watch whatever you wanted rental-wise on their Video store… I’d go with that over Netflix or my recently cancelled Blockbuster Online membership…

    I really did not know this regarding the content that you purchase off the video store. They gave us the ability to copy movies to an external drive a while back and assumed it was to protect your movies in case your HDD/system goes bad. So from what I understand if your system does go bad and you need to get it serviced, the money you spent on content literally goes down the drain? I find that incredibly ridiculous, and you are right, this needs to be addressed asap! This is a big deal everybody! Why would anyone want to buy anything from the store knowing this? It’s not like the movies being purchased are any cheaper than going out and buying the actual DVD. This ps absurd and really needs to be addressed. I, from now on, will not be using the video store until they do.

    LOL I don’t know why people are buying full movies from PS store. That is what Blueray is for And if U are getting movies from PSN store RENT them and U don’t lose a dime. Why whould U ever buy a downloadable movie? Makes no sence to me. Guess I just love my PS3. (SONY) And give us that Music store!!! :)

    @8 – This is totally true. I recently swapped out my 80 Gb hard drive for a 320 Gb Hard drive. I “backed up” my video data, and when it was time to reinstall everything, the videos did not work. After THREE separate attempts to contact customer service, I finally received a response that they would allow me to re-download the video selections, (I believe the end of the email said “You’re welcome!” … like they did me a huge service by letting me reacquire what I had bought). The crazy thing is, they just, “flipped a switch”, so to speak, and I had a window of 24 hours to download my video content again. If it is that easy to “allow” me to retrieve that which I had already paid for, why can’t they leave it on all the time? If the mod is reading this, answers?!?

    Grace, a question for you. Is there a chance that we can see more movie trailers eventually on the PSN video side? You know, when you access Apple.com/trailers or Yahoo Trailers, they have a ton or when you use the Apple TV, there is a lot of trailers and its nice to have them on the PS3 as well. So im hoping that we will eventually see a stronger presence?

    Any word on a 24fps fix? I’ve stopped buying content from the PSN video store, and have told all my friends to do the same until it’s fixed.

    I’d be happy to just not buy video store content, but the judder issue affects the streaming from Netflix as well. This does not appear to be an issue on the 360 or on at least one other Netflix-streaming bluray player (from Samsung).

    Please, please acknowledge this issue in lieu of a fix!

    Hey PlaystionBlog im to express my issues with the Playstion Network. Im a Playstion user and i must say you sony staff alot of cleaning up to do on PSN. First of All its complicated to get beta codes when can just posted on a banner or something noticeable and simply type it in without hassle or without having go search around the world on PlaystionHome and not having to serch on those cramped up Playstion us forums. Second I would like to know the problem with PlaystionHome i enjoy it but theres too many problems to face with such as – it freezing up, getting disconnected constantly with shown errors that doesn’t make sense, and the lagging of things it laggs so bad in the central plaza my keybd is lagging along with it half the time IT FREEZES 3th issue can you please inprove the internet feature on the Playstion3 ! its really killing me having to restart my PS3 whenever it freezes. Im sorry but have restate this SONY PLEASE MAKE THE BETA ACCESS THE NETFLIX ACCESS AND THE PRIZES/ CONTESTS MORE SIMPLE.
