Hi All,
I’m Gordon Van Dyke and I’m the Associate Producer for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 here at EA’s DICE studio in Stockholm.
Today we’re excited to announce that our forthcoming multiplayer beta is coming exclusively to PS3, so you’ll have a chance to experience all the action, destruction and vehicular warfare ahead of our full release in March 2010.
Starting on November 19, the beta will feature the huge ‘Arica Harbour’ map where up to 24 players compete to secure valuable crates in the ‘Rush’ game mode as the action moves across a variety of different locations. From an initial vehicle assault on a military outpost the war winds through streets of a deserted town to an intense final fire-fight in an industrial harbour.

Getting access to the beta will differ from country to country, but here are a few specific ways of getting hold of a key:
- We’ll be holding a special limited giveaway right here on the PlayStation Blog (details TBA)
- Pre-ordering the game at participating retailer
- Checking out selected gaming sites such as IGN or GameSpot in North America.

So, how do Canadians get access to a beta key I absolutely must get in on this!

I believe that Canadians should be able to go through the same process as those in the US. You can pre-order at Best Buy and GameStop for guaranteed access or stay up to date at http://www.battlefield.com for other ways to get codes

BF:BC was a great game and BC2 will be even better, I’m sure.
There will be a special edition of the game?
I really like collector’s edition with strange and particular gadgets. ^^
No beta codes for the QORE annual subscribers? That’s a pity.

I was gonna pre-order MW 2 tomorrow but I like the Battlefield series a whole lot more and I really want to get into this Beta. Will be pre-ordering this game for sure.
Is there a list yet of which retailers will be offering the beta?

The game looks good, I love the destruction in bbc but I could never play online due to problems so I only got to play the story mode. Hopefully this means I can play online with bbc2. Saw the trailer on youtube a while back and overall the game looks crazy. realism with real destruction? all shooters should look like this. now hopefully it plays well and its not all looks.

I love this game I played the he’ll out of the last one was number 1 on the leader board for BFBC’s demo for about six months ” demolition” can’t wait any word on what the participating are , gamestop, gamecrazy, toys r us ???? Help

Very nice! I’ve been eagerly awaiting the game, and I’m really excited to get my hands on it earlier. I loved the first, and the second looks to be a big improvement.

I love you. I’ll hold off on MW2 and wait for BC2. I was debating this, but this kinda support pretty much sealed the deal for me.
