what’s with the ridiculous ps1 games that no one gives a crap about? seriously how bout putting some good games that people have actually been asking for. it really is mind boggling to think about who and why on earth would some of these games be put up to download. “bomberman party edition let’s put that on the store! its one of the most asked for ps1 games!” ….. ridiculous.

Great Update. Picked up Pixeljunk Shooter; the DLC for Dragon Ball, inFamous, High Velocity Bowling & PAIN; and Coded Arms. Looking at picking up for a few more PSP games but I’ll see what I can sell my UMD copies for, I’d get Castlevania too if I didn’t already have Symphony of the Night.

@Darth-Krayt

Just so you know; PS1 versions of Final Fantasy I, II, VII, VIII, Tactics are all available on the Japanese store.

I myself would like to get FFVIII, but wanted Sony to get off their a**es and give PSP Go owners the full back catalog of UMD PSP games. The selection available for the Go is laughable.

It doesn’t matter anymore, since I got rid of it because as usual Sony is breaking promises.

Keep it up Sony and I’ll get rid of all my other PS3s, PSPs, and games.

getting so tired of this…

i have to say, i played Dante’s Inferno demo today….

i think it does alot of different things, but the comparison with game play elements that replicate god of war III is too obvious. if Dante’s Inferno came out around halloween this year or maybe months after god of war III i would probably get it. but ill pass.

+ YungShep on December 10th, 2009 at 4:40 pm said:

the demo is way too short. and i think Visceral Games should just continue to work on Dead Space 2.

Dante’s Inferno is really reaching for the god of war audience, although i think this will sell well on the 360 because of the god of war mock.

Really loving the Uncharted 2 behind the scenes videos.

Really puts into perspective all the hard work and professionalism involved on the project. One that seems to separate this game acting and story telling wise from the rest.

Thank you for the update. Just a suggestion for consideration, could Sony consider requiring either (i) screen shots or (ii) video clips, of the games that are being uploaded, i.e., the Minis, etc. For me at least, I find the description of the games not enough to make a purchase. Granted, I can usually go to youtube to find something, but it would be nice to be able to see this information, in order to decide if I want to purchase a game, from the PSN store itself.

PS – Any idea when or if Pac Man: CE is going to be released on the PSP or PS3?

[This post ONLY refers to this week’s PS Store for PSP Update.]

It looks like a pretty cool update for the PSP this week. I’m interested in checking out Bomberman Party Edition, Gradius Collection, and Kurulin Fusion. Plus, it’s great to see Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles as a digital download now even though I own the UMD version. I just wish that there demos for all PSN games (including PSP Minis, PSP, and PSone Classics) were mandatory. Anyhow, thanks for the update.

Really am i the only one dissatisfied with all these updates? come on give us some good PS1 classics already. im seriously tired of waiting for great games like FF8 to come out here when its already released in the jap Store. NO we do not want anymore garbage sports games like bowling, golf ect. Give us GOOD games for a change. Ive been waiting week after week for something good but all we get is garbage and MAYBE rarely a decent title. Step your game up, gain the rights to upload the great classics to the PSN and then ill give you some credit. Sorry for the rant but somebody had to say this. Anyone else agree with me or is this blog filled with just fanboys who will settle for anything?

Update rating:
PSP = 1

When is GTA:Liberty City getting the much needed framerate fix?

A word of warning to anyone thinking of buying that game, the frame rate sucks compared to the UMD version.

Google it, you’ll see that people are complaining to Sony/Rockstar about this.

I’m a tad bit worried about future 3D ports from UMD to PSN store. It doesn’t bode well, and I’m thinking I’ll sell my Go this Xmas.

I’ve been depending on my PSP/DSi for gaming lately. I was excited to get the Go, but unfortunately the quality (and selection) of games is less than the original versions of the UMD systems. Yikes, not so cutting edge!

The PSN store has one key benefit (and it won’t be selection it seems) over the iPod touch & Apple’s appstore. It’s nice to be able to see a list of games I purchased and to re-download them. Other than that, Apple’s app store has a key advantage. New content and QA on faulty content that gets approved :\

Are there plans to release the following psOne Classics: Gex: Enter the Gecko, Bloody Roar 2, Resident Evil:Survivor, Dino Crisis 2? I’m guessing some of those will be on there since other installments in their respective series were released on the PS store. Also if possible, will you guys be releasing Parasite Eve 1 and 2 on the PS Store, that would probably get fans ready for the upcoming new game on PSP sometime in the future. There are so many fans of Parasite Eve, the first one is very popular. Sorry for this being too long. Thank u.

Grace,
a fews months ago, about august, I bought Call of Duty World at War Map Pack 2. After the pending, I tried to download it, but it had an error code 800….something and I accidentally deleted it. Is there anyway to get it back and be able to download/install?
