  • Oh, and you jerks wonder why Grace never replies to you? It’s because you’re all a bunch of d-bags with a MAJOR sense of entitlement.

At least on the EU Blog, people talk with some respect, and don’t come off as having a stick up their butt with a stick up it’s butt. They don’t act like they’re ENTITLED.

The one and only thing the PSN Store hasn’t come through on, that people have a slight right to bring up is avatars, other than that, Sony has come through in SPADES. If you hate Sony so much, go play 360, because all those lame, stupid looking games on XBL are SOOO much better than the awesome games on PSN, LOL /sarcasm. And even with all their lame content, even the 360 fanboys don’t complain as much as you morons. Sad.

  • Wow, calm down. Even though you want us to act mature, you are the least mature here.

  • I dont think I have seen a worst update… FAIL. I was looking forward to some premium avatars and some dynamic themes.

  • Who cares about this update… It’s way more entertaining to read the comments!

Who will be the next one pissed about the weekly update and who will be pissed at the idea that someone is pissed at SCEA… It’s a funny (vicious) circle!

  • Why even bother updating or making a post?

Its 2010, get your **** together SONY. I sincerely hope your lack of content this week reflects the fact that you were busy at work on things that are worthwhile…like maybe doing something, ANYTHING, about the Canadian video store. Or a firmware update? Maybe ACTUAL information about your biggest game of ever, GoW3?

    No?

Well, maybe when you lose this generation by your own hand, maybe then you’ll get your **** together.

  • Pathetic! Too bad I can’t give a rating of less than one.

  • not even a ps1 game… 1 out of 5

  • Whatever helps you sleep at night….cry baby. Trust me…NO ONE is more immature than the losers who do nothing but complain on here with every update.

Like I said. There’s no more tha 6 or 7 decent PSP games not on the store, yet everyone cries the Go has no support. And they blame Sony for that handfull of games not being on the store, when it’s the developers fault, not Sony’s. They are idiots. Plain and simple.

And crying over PS1 games is just as bad considering how over-priced they are, and you could get any of the disc, that work on any PS3 for a dime a dozen. Buy PS3 games, support the PS3, not a 15 year old dead console. Besides FF9, Vagrant Story, Mortal Kombat Trilogy and maybe Final DOOM only if it got analog stick support, and Brave Fencer Musashi, no other PS1 games not on the store are worth 2 cents. I have no respect for people crying over PS1 games no being on the store. And again….it’s the fault of developers, not Sony.

  • A few of you need to switch to decafe, sheesh. Remember in America, freedom of speech and all that….and I don’t think with all of the features Sony has run on this site that they have ever explained or shown how a game goes from UMD to a digital download. That might calm some people down if they knew that Sony and the third party developers werent just being lazy. And for those who claim there are plenty of psp games in the store there are a LOT more that aren’t. I’d like to see Ace CombatX, and the Burnout series as well as the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card games in there. It’s true you can’t please everyone but it’s also true that other than thursdays Sony has never had a set time for updates or how much they plan to update every week, it’s just a surprise and lately more bad ones than good.

  • 10 4 on where is Hustle Kings !!!

  • Sorry. I can’t buy that its NOT Sony’s fault that these updates suck. I find it very hard to believe that EVERY single game developer is slacking off in the content department. Besides, SOMEONE is cranking out the content that is going to the European and Asian stores. Its digital content, you cant tell me its THAT much trouble to give it to us as well.

  • Voted a 3. I’m kind of disappointed with the update.

But it isn’t like there a lot of big releases at the end of this month, so it only makes sense there isn’t a big demo.

Would have been nice to see Vagrant Story up though.

  • Oh and as for the arguement FOR digital PS1 games, I find that some of those games though older, have better gameplay and/or storylines than a lot of today’s games, plus I just like to play them. Sure I could go find the original games on disc and play them but a digital download doesn’t scratch or warp like the disc does and I can switch those digital PS1 games back and forth between my PS3 and my PSP which I like to do. And remember the games YOU like to play may not be the same as the games OTHER people like to play. So before you go off on other people remember everyone has different tastes and only you look like an idiot when you tell people they are wrong for what they like.

  • @Darth-Krayt
    Your anti-PSone, lol

  • A NOTE TO THE COMPLAINERS….(ok, done with caps now)

I have been so busy keeping up with the great games that have been released for my PS3 that I can no longer afford to buy every DLC that pops up. A tide has turned and I personally am thankful. Programing all these things that they have listed today took a lot of time and they didn’t plan on every piece of it making every player cream themselves. Other than a few nit-picks here and there I really feel that Sony is doing us great. It’s been 3 years and I feel the need to commend you for the entertainment vs the price I payed. CHEERS!

  • YAWN!

  • What amazes me is that there’s always a ton of people complaining about the PSN update every week even when there’s a TON of content. So when there’s a week where Sony’s lacking all of a sudden the world is afire with comments like, “OMG SONY U GUYS R HORRIBLE!!”

Seriously, no one acknowledges that it’s a big deal being able to publish so much content to fill an entire year, and PSN’s been doing it now for like three straight. If there’s nothing you like, why not go and actually… oh, I don’t know, PLAY SOME GAMES.

  • I don’t mind a slow week. I got plenty to play but I had to grab the MagicOrbz and ZenPinball DLC. Good stuff, great prices.

  • What a bunch of timmys… At least we don’t have to pay a subscription fee, or is that something you want?

  • Worst update? WORST UPDATE? How can you SAY that?!?!? There’s an Alice in Chains pack for Rock Band!!! That makes it better than MOST updates. Right when I was starting to have FAITH in humanity… Oh wait, I never started having faith in humanity. Never mind. Carry On.

  • i think i share the sentiment of many people that this is a terrible store update. absolutely nothing useful.

  • I love how people just rage. If you’re bothered by this so much, talk to the developers. Sony can only use what is given to them.

  • Looks like a great update this week.. for game videos….

  • This is one weak update. Here I was hoping that Return to Ostagar for us Dragon Age fans would have been released, how disappointing.

  • How about custom avatars 2 whole years into the life of the console? At least something other than the cheesy pre-school ones offered currently.

  • This is a pretty bad update. Hope next weeks is better.

  • SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, way to start off the new year guys. Not trying to be mean, but honestly, this is a weak update.

  • wow dont this suck. another update with nothing. thats two weeks in a row!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who cares if the update isn’t massive. You guys are like dominos, if you see someone post a complaint you literally copy and paste that same complaint and post it until there are 4 pages full of comments. I really hope you are not adults because you are being very immature. Anyway I’m happy MAG is coming out this month.I loved the game after playing the Beta I was sad that it only lasted a week. I will pre-order it soon.

  • Weak update.

  • Castle crashers?

  • Wow all you haters sound pathetic. Seriously get a life. The store updates every week so settle down.

  • umm, ok?

  • Patience…. GOW 3 info is coming on Jan 18 and about the Canadian store… I’m also waiting don’t see me being a jerk

  • We would like to have real games such as Vagrant Story and Castle Crashers next week. Also, we would not mind if there were releases for Saga Frontier 1 and 2, and Grandia among other unreleased rpg`s that have been released in the Japanese Store already.

Please, Sony, listen to your fans, that is the most important source of information to get the sales done properly!

  • this is the worst update in the playstation network. When release the add on of assassin creed 2?

  • P.S it’s not Sony’s fault you expect them to have content every single week? it’s all on developers and month of January has been weak

  • Sony needs to step up they’re game or they’ll get they’re asses handed to by microsoft, stop slacking off sony and try. the little things count!

  • @darth_krayt
Hey guess what I spent over $500 for a cutting edge system with all the trimmings so as far as I’m concerned yes I and my fellow ps3 owners are entitled to better updates n support. When people pay money for ur product and expect great value and support its not entitlement its customer service. When a manufacturer/retailer accepts money for a product part of that product is the support that comes with it. This goes double for pspgo owners. An all digital system with little digital content support is like an oven with no food. Looks nice but would look better with something in it.

  • The time I snapped my arm backwards in a wrestling tourney in highschool = better than this update.

  • Please, if you can’t spell out your argument right, don’t even post. It only makes you look ridiculous.

I’m not gonna comment on this update however i would like to ask for crisis core on psn, more avatars, and if at all possible, make the sign-in and friend-loading processes a bit faster.

    ~Pirate43

  • Quite frankly Sony just needs to get their act together. No one is asking for perfect updates. We all know they can’t give us everything at once. What we’re asking for is professionalism. You know things like having an actual schedule for the updates or actually reading the blog and providing their customers with products they specifically request. Also stop with the bs delays. Probably close to a quarter of the content they release is delayed and they never have any comments regarding why. Seriously, if any one was this inconsistent or delayed or held themselves to such low accountability at their job they would be fired. I’m not asking for perfection just a little effort.

  • I’m thoroughly surprised at how little interest developers are taking in premium avatars. It’s essentially free money.
Welp, here’s to hoping that we’ll get some White Knight Chronicles, and Metal Gear avatars some day.

  • @Darth-Krayt

Your right. Except Im not buying all of my PSP games over again to play them on a go. THe fact a UMD trade in program doesnt exist is a total crime. Sony just shot themselves in the foot there.

  • Another sad update… Another PSP Go user disappointed. Its really frustrating that the games I would like to play are already out in Europe and not in the US. Oh well, nothing I can do except hope next weeks update is better.

And for the one who posted that we should be happy that this is free, to be honest I for one would rather PAY a subscription to get some quality content over what we are getting now for free.

  • The weeks that there is no or very little content Sony needs to throw us psp users a bone and have a sale on their available psp titles. It would be a nice way of saying “we’re sorry we lied to psp users who updated to a psp go being able to download their umds for free”. Polygraph please!!! Also sony needs to require all developers to make all psp games available for download.

  • Grace, you realize, since this is part of your job, you should be addressing the public about the lack of updates. Most people just want answers, not Sony dodging bullets with a rating system and not correcting themselves the next week… I’ve already commented about last weeks awful update, I’m 100% sure this one tops last weeks in being the worst update. I would like to hear back from someone at Sony, even an appology and explaination would help users. Sony, you could provide your customers something nice like uploading a few PSX games that are “known” to fans… Enough with rehashs of games like Command & Conquer.

  • MY BIRTHDAY WISH FROM PLAYSTATION: forget the store updates I WANT A FIRMWARE UPDATE. it’s been way to long playstation and I hope you’ve been listening becuase 3d gaming isn’t gunna be enough. Check the forums, we told you what we want now it’s up to you to pull through. WE ARE PLAYSTATION NATION!!!!

  • Amazing update. Keep it up Sony.
