All of these people complaining about this update is a good thing IMO. I had my PS3 since launch and I clearly remember a time when an update like this would be cause for celebration. “OMG, UNO DEMO!!!”
I think its the people that just got their PS3 and don’t realize the update after they come back from the holidays is always like this. I’ve had mine for 3 years and every update after new year has been that way. Oh no one update that is lacking waaaaaa go cry about it lol
I hope this kind of useless update is caused by a huge amount of work that Sony people is involved to give us, in near future, great things.
There are so many PS2 games that can be ported to PS3 out there… Just with PS2 games, PS Store can have great updates every week. “The Last Guardian” is coming, what about a version of “Ico” and “Shadow of the Colossus” to be played with PS3?
i have 2 questions-
the EU Blog posts the PSN Store update as a Heads Up, meaing it comes out before the Store is updated.
Is there any chance of that happening on the US Blog?
It also appears that Mike Kebby is actively engaging the blog posters.

I was expecting something a bit better, but I guess you take what you can get. So….when do we get Vagrant Story (released several weeks ago in Japan), Legend of Dragoon and FF IX. You know…Xenogears and Fear Effect would be two other great titles to add to the PS One Classics for PSP/PS3 as well. Any idea when we will get these????????
This update is quite horrible but what is more horrible is the lack of customer service the us playstation blog gives its customers. I totally agree with POST# 262 that the EU blog works harder at engaging their user base and answering questions/concerns. Lets compare the two: EU’s ‘Heads-Up’ blog entry has 267 Comments and 72 Replies Vs. US’s blog entry which has 265 Comments and 0 Replies.
I applaud Mike Kebby’s efforts to make sure that customers are happy and that their voices are being heard. Grace Chen you should take a few notes from him as your attitude comes off cold and artificial. I’m sorry that typing “Hi Everyone – It’s time for the weekly PlayStation Store Update.” expends so much energy that you are not able to answer comments. Then again, once in a blue moon you do cherry pick comments to reply to.

Played the Lunar silver Star Harmony Demo Buying this game its so good HXSEED Thank you! I support you! =)..But why no demo for FFXIII! as well as the upcoming games for 2010! So, we got a good PSP Demo this week…and little else worth considering.
I’m agree with everyone! What a poor update! No psone game! Why no Guilty Gear like at last week’s update in the european psn? And there are so many good games on the psone : Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Bloody Roar 2, Capcom Vs Snk Pro, Marvel Vs Capcom or X-men Vs Street Fighter, Crash Team Racing, etc!

Seriously you people will get high blood pressure for just a bunch of data. In my case since I’m busy with all of my old games until Heavy Rain arrives I’m ok.
But at least bring already Hustle Kings, it’s already approved by the ESRB as “E” and it’s waiting to be buy by us the US gamers. I had people that had open UK accounts and bought it from UK so stop loosing money on the matter.

Why did I buy a PSPGo again?
If you guys aren’t going to give us games on the PSN, at least give us another way to play games! It’s like you guys don’t want the Go to be successful! Many of us have money that we are prepared to practically THROW at you, but you WON’T LET US!
I know this is a low blow, but as horrible as the NGAGE was, at least you could buy and play all the NGAGE games on it… The PSP has a decent library of games, why won’t you let us BUY them?
I understand that it will take time to put all those games on the PSN, and even then it is unlikely that the entire library will ever be available online, but at least make an effort! Please? I’m begging you Sony!

wow i completely regret ever getting a pspgo. some of the best umd titles have yet to be released on it; i dont understand why sony would release a system that has so little support from 3rd party developers at such a high cost.
I think my main complaint about updates like this one is the way it highlights the overall loneliness of the Playstation Network.
Don’t get me wrong, if you ask me what the best game of 2009 was, I’m probably going to tell you that it was Uncharted 2. There’s no question that when I’m picking single player games like Final Fantasy XIII or Dragon Age that I’m going to pick my PS3.
However, in any situation where I’m looking to interact online (for example my recent playthroughs of Borderlands) I’m almost certain to pick up the 360 versions.
In fact, the streamlined and integral nature of XBox Live means that I’d probably pick a game that doesn’t look as good if the online features were solid enough.
I’m hoping that the premium Sony service will amend a lot of these issues, but I also fear that the current downward trend on the Playstation Network is directly related to Sony saving up content for the premium service.
While we PSN users got no holiday content, Microsoft offered a deal a day (including games like Shadow Complex, Marvel vs. Capcom and Battlefield for under 10 bucks).
The title of “best downloadable games” is a hard one to award to Sony.

Sorry Jed, I didn’t realize you had an inside insight into how hard the people at the Playstation Network are working.
However, Conan O’Brien is working pretty hard too, but he’s getting railed over at NBC with far more than just complaints.
In a world where you cater to consumers, the consumer’s voice is incredibly important and whether you choose to ignore it or not, it’s gonna be pretty hard to silence it.
They aren’t our family members, they’re a company providing a service. If we have suggestions or concerns about that service then we have every right to voice them–in fact, that’s what our money buys us when you’re dealing with a dynamic world like digital content.
However, in the future, if you want to make a point that sounds like it’s coming from a reputable source (which I’m sure you are) then please take the time to type out simple words like “you” and “are” out of respect for yourself and your readers.
